  1. Some of you may want to address this issue. Just another case of heartless money making.

  2. That is just horrific. I was appalled. I shop at Petsmart for all my animal supplies. This puts me in a dilemna. I can't afford to shop elsewhere, but, I feel like I'm contributing somehow to the cruelty of those poor animals by shopping there. I wrote to them letting them know how I feel. I hope they step up to the plate & cut ties with & take action against this supplier.

  6. ya'll didn't realise how poorly the small animals and fish are treated at petsmart? I noticed it years ago with the fish, thier tanks always had more sick and dead fish than any other pet shop I have ever seen. I always prefered PetCo were you can see that the cages and tanks are in better condition

  7. Like Susie....I clicked on the icon at the top, 'What You Can Do To Help'...and very quickly and easily wagged my finger at Petsmart for their participation in this horrendous, thoughtless, greedy mishandling of God's creatures!!!! It saddens me too, because in everyway Petsmart has always met many of my needs for my pets at an affordable price...but now I must boycott them until it stops! There is no store I can think of who should be handling live animals...the breeders of such NEVER reveal to the clients anything but lies and coverups! I doubt that Petsmart's employees were aware of these conditions but now they know and have to make a choice. It's so so cruel how these little animals are being treated. *need tissue box*

  8. considering this comes from PETA, I really don't trust it. it may be true but I won't believe it until I hear it from another more reliable source

  9. my thoughts exactly, owlwatcher. I just got home from PetSmart and I have never heard any negative feedback about them. . . .'small animals and birds bred and brokered by a major supplier to PetSmart'--hopefully, PetSmart is unaware of this and will discontinue associating with them if this is true. The actual supplier should now be put under the microscope

  10. Even thought I don't trust PETA or condone their organization, I will be wary of Petsmart. I mostly shop at Petco anyways and only go to Petsmart if Petco doesn't have the item I am looking for. Always question these reports from PETA as they want all of us to do as they say and not think for ourselves. Best to hear from more than one source anyways.

  12. I caught something on the news this week about the supplier and Petsmart. I hardly ever shop at Petsmart. I don't find that they are the cheapest, in fact I think they are more expensive. My list of boycotted shopping is growing.
It hurts my feelings so much to see abused and helpless animals no matter the size.
Peace of all of God's creatures.
tinafish stepping off my soapbox now, I promise.
