Next week I will be bringing my new kitten Cookie home to meet my first cat Perry (5 years). I am wondering if I should expect trouble between them and if so, how should this be delt with?

The recommendation for litter boxes when you have multiple cats is one box per cat plus one extra. If you don't have room for three boxes, at least be sure to have two boxes available.
