   It's HOT HOT HOT in the Midwest, so the kitties have decided to have a Pool Party Day! We're starting with the breakfast buffet in a lovely enclosed gazebo with gentle breezes coming in off Lake Michigan to keep the temperature milder.

   Kitties are by the pool and near the beach, readying places to sit and enjoy the day in lazy comfort! They're setting up the volleyball net and play areas for kits of all ages!

   There's everything in the world to do and eat today! Get your kitties in their swimwear/beachwear, bring the sunscreen and let's have a day at the beach!

   Georgie is jumping up and down with excitement, "Can I go mama? Please??" He's all dressed in his blue Hawaiian print board shorts, and has a cooler of fresh salmon treats for the gang.

   Willow and Luna have their brand new yellow bikinis, but they can't stop playing with the ties! (lol) Hermes is spiff in his light blue Hawaiian print jams and he's got his buddy board to try some surfing on the Big Lake.

   G'night Jcat, stay warm! Hi Sio & Kilroy, stay cool!
   Leela has a brand new bright blue bikini for the season; she's excited to wear it today! She's all ready with her wide brimmed hat, her Hello Kitty towel and a Superman towel for Comet, along with a pail with toys, water and crabcake crackers. Comet is bummed that he has to select something from the ShaddoJiggs collection, but there is plenty to choose from and he will get his very own for his birthday next month.
   Whoosh! Have fun kids, don't forget sunscreen!
   Me, I'll have a big glass of pink lemonade.

   I love the heat, beats winter anyday in my book!
   The pool party will be a blast....Jas and Ram have a special blow-up shark pool toy they will bring, and it's big enough for alot of kitts to ride on :)

    Woo hoo beach blanket bingo w/the kits today, Yay! Thanks Sio for organizing a fun day in TDK land! Whew, s'posed to be another sizzling day in brewtown. But for now it is only 79 & overcast! Left a fan on at home for my little kits to enjoy before they join in on the party fun. Me, I will grab a large iced coffee w/a sprig o' mint to start my day. A bit early today for I am meeting a gal pal after for a bite after w/a bit of a drive! Now a smooch for Tux, back later! Paw up w/waves for anyone who is still hanging!

    Can some of the boy kitties show Comet the ropes on being a Cabana Cat? He's really goofy, but does take direction well.
    Leela is all set with her lounge chair and cool bevvie, and is hanging out under the umbrella with the girls, doing her diva thing.

    Hey, there's hula lessons starting up for the girlkits! SURE, Comet, come and learn with Hermes!

    Mancats are working on the pig roast in the big pit on the beach. Nummy smells are starting to waft through the air... more cool breezes come through and ruffle kitty hairs and a couple of straw hats pop off and bounce down the beach....kittens go running after! Kittens! Don't forget to drink lots of sun nip tea! It's hot!

    Lalalala girl kits are dancing while boy Cabana kits are waiting on the party kits who are relaxing and sipping their cool ones. Cabana Tuxie looks so handsome in his cut-offs and tropical vest as he brings me another iced java! Cabana Crockey is supposed to be working but instead he is flirting w/the girl kits as they practice their hula dances! Just a few more fun minutes for me...than back to reality as _ork!

    Sophie D is exicted about the pool party . . . She brings me her bathing costume (teal flowers with pink accents on a white background) and insists I pack her a bag of tuna treats, nip bars and sunnip tea. She is dancing at the wormhole when she realizes Lady Coco is still lying in her ring bed. "Hurry!Pack up!" she meows, "I don't want to miss anything!"

    Lady Coco raises her head and yawns elegantly, then explains that she doesn't like large bodies of water and that pool parties are not her thing. Given her druthers, she'd rather lie on the nice warm bed, please and thank you. (Well, she is almost 16 years old and a little tired.) She tells Sophie D to have a good time and goes back to sleep.

    Sophers (as she is often called) grabs her beach bag and treats and dives through the wormhole.

    Whee! Lookit all the kittehs at the party! Some are splashing in the pool, some are helping the kittens use pool noodles to stay afloat, and some are showing off their fuzzy physiques and doing fancy dives off the diving board.

    Whoo! Lookit Hermes! He's on his boogie board with Comet! They're taking a break from CabanaCat training to enjoy the waves.

    Luna and Willow are BOINGING toward the pool and BOING right into the water! Whoops, they splashed water on a couple of elegant ladykits enjoying their books under shade umbrellas.....fortunately the ladykits don't seem to mind too much, they've had litters of their own!

    Leela is glad she remembered her pink raft, which she is currently sharing with Sophie. They are floating around having a grand-old time! Comet seems to be having a blast!

    Dot & a few of the girl kits are relaxing in their lounge chairs under the shade of a big palm tree as they watch the afternoon badminton game. Crockey, Comet, Tux and a few of the other boykits are trying their skills...watch the Birdie fellas! Some of the mini surf kits are building sandcastles and creating a large sand sculpture of the Cat in the Hat cat! Me, had fun checking out the party & now back for about an hour more...notified Dot & Crockey that must head back to brewtown then too!

    Moved surgery to the beginning of July. I will be out of classes then. Mr. SM is leaving this weeks, don't know when he will be home. I know that it will be outpatient and pretty easy to recover from and should eliviate much of the pain. Was nervous, but it seems that I have all the family taken care of, so I can not worry about them. Sherlock will not leave my side when I am at home--he had become very protective and vigilant. Noelle will be getting her little procedure later in July. They wanted me to work with a group for the summer program at church, but I don't know that I can handle a group of kids a week after--we'll see.

    Hi, Everyone!

    SM, I'm so hoping that Mr. SM will be there when you have the surgery to indulge you in some well earned pampering. You will have someone at home with you, right? Now, as one of the TDK nurses, I must say that it is not advisable to do a summer program group one week after surgery. I think, in my nursing opinion, that some real R&R will be called for.

    Paw up, waves hi to Soxsmom. Thank you for sharing your Summer plans. I too agree w/Kilroy that you should take care of yourself this Summer.Don't over-do it! Prayers and TLC hugs for smooth procedure for you & later for Noelle. Hope Mr. SM isn't gone as long as anticipate just in case he is needed.
