As some of you know my Niece Kerri gave birth to her Son Wesley yesterday 6/11/11.
Wesley was born 10 weeks premature, weighing in at 3 pounds 14 ozs. 16" long
He was breathing on his own at first, but now is breathing with the ventalator. They are hopefully going to put a feeding tube in him today and he will actually be eating his Mom's milk(She's pumping). They are not sure what disabilities he will have as it is too soon to see. I know the TDK white light and prayers are a strong thing so please please Pray for this lil Man.
I will keep you all posted on how he is doing there saying he will be in the NICU for 5 to 6 weeks and then we will go from there!!
Thanks everyone
Peace and Prayers

I have been praying for him, Dorie ever since I saw your posting on FB. He looked so tiny with all those tubes in him in the photo I saw.

He is so tiny, but medical science does some amazing things for premmies now. The chances are just as good that he will be fine.
My nephew was born 11 weeks premature, spent 6 months in NICU and two more years with many medical emergencies and is now 23, 6 foot tall, healthy and happy, and a recent college grad whose only leftover premmie-problem is one blind eye.
I'm sending all the good vibes I can that little Wesley will grow up just as healthy.

We went to the hospital this afternoon and We only got to see Kerri(Mom) and Kioshi(Dad) for a few minutes as they were heading up to the neonatal unit to see there son. They have found a small hole in his lung, they think this is from the resperator opening his little lungs. they say(Neonatal Dr's) that this sometimes happens and they will keep a close eye on it, at this moment he doesn't need surgery to correct it. As for my Niece Kerri, she has me worried as she looks very bloated and pale. My daughter said the samething! Please keep them all in your prayers!
Thanks

what good news! Keeping up the prayers. Go Wesley! (By the way, my niece was a premie, weighed only 3 lbs, and stayed in NICU for two months. Came through with flying colors so it can be done!)
