  1. To celebrate summer in the northern hemisphere, frozen drinks and treats are the specialty of the day! Of course, hot fountains flow for those with a chill in their bones.
    Delicious noms of every kind have been carefully set up. Day lillies are everywhere, out of range of curious kittens, of course! White longhair chef kitties with their hair nets and aprons await your grill order. Maine Coons are your servers for the day. Everyone else has the day off, and are looking for playtime and/or snuggletime.

    I hope that JRoc sees some sun when she arrives in Joisey, it's been dreary and rainy here, forever it seems.
    I think I'll have to start the day with some hot java and a snuggle from the Maine Coons!

We had a bad storm yesterday/last night....tornado warnings out for our town and surrounding towns.....rained so much I was afraid to check the basement this morning, fearing facing water, but all was okay. The sun came out for about 5 minutes a bit ago, but is now cloudy again...grrrrr. I hope you can enjoy your visit with your sis :)

  8. Deb, huh! I wish something would straighten this weather out!
    What a darling video, I love hummers! We have a feeder hanging outside our patio door....and love it when I'm sitting outside and they BUZZ past me....they sound like giant bumblebees.

  11. Love hummingbirds! I understand they are attracted to red flowers, so I usually have a hanging basket of red impatients. It's funny, first thought is "wow, big bug", then realize it's a hummingbird!

Thanks for opening the cafe...paw up hi Azdeb (please give a smooch to Ms B from me) & neighbor Kat/glad you didn't get any water in your basement either(me too...kept paws crossed last nite!) Mmm coffee smells good, I'll take my usual giant java along with some cinny raisin toast to go pleeze Tux (although it is your day off you are sooo attentive to me...double smoochies for you!) Ok, gotta go...hope to be back in a bit!

  17. Good morning, all! Hope everyone is having a nice day. I took the whole day off for my birthday - what a treat! I really need to take time off more often!
    Got to sleep in a bit, swim with my friend, get free breakfast at panera, and am now watching Wimbledon with the dog I'm dogsitting.

    Poor Milo is still feeling a bit under the weather this morning from his shots yesterday. I promised him he'll feel better by this afternoon. Bobby is being very nice to him, lots of grooming and none of the usual hissing and growling that usually results from someone coming home smelling like the vet.

  23. Good morning from hot/humid/rainy Fort Worth! We had some major storms last night, and a cool front blew in. Guess I better dig out the wool sweaters for the cool 97 degrees today! At least it's lower than the 100's that we've had for a while.

    Happy birthday, GD!! Sophie and I are watching Wimbledon, too. Darn it! I was hoping Venus would lose! Carrot cake and Italian Cream are my favorites. Yum!
