Hi folks, I know I am rarely around anymore and I apologize. A lot of you know that I am most likely going to have to leave my home and was trying to find homes for several cats. You all may remember that I had a realtor in my office leave her 4 cats (siblings) with me. Many of you helped me out when one of them (Tibby) broke his hip and needed surgery. I did find a home for one brother (Beau) and he now lives in Florida with a nice couple who bought and sold a home with me. I have a neighbor who is taking Bella and Alec when she moves to Virginia next month, and my ex-husband was taking Tibby after he moves in August. Well, I work a long way from home now and am not around much, so it was a few days before I realized I had not seen Tibby. He has been gone for 4 days now. We have called him and the ex has checked animal control. He was not chipped and he never could keep on a collar. My other animals are chipped but since I was not going to keep the siblings and the vet wanted $50 per cat, I did not chip them. Now I am sick with worry. Please send the TDK white light and prayers to send Tibby home. My son and Tibby were pals.

Hope Tibby comes home soon! And grrrrr to vets who charge much more than needed for chipping; our local shelters will chip for about $10.

CW, I'm so sorry to read all this, especially about your house and about poor Tibbles. I went through this recently with my Libby and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. A site that really helped me a lot was: http://www.squidoo.com/lost-cat
It was right on the button and so were the other sites leading off it. It helped me not to give up hope on Libby and I eventually found her (by not giving up calling for her -- she was locked in a neighbour's garage and they'd gone away, and on the fifth day she started answering).Sending all the TDK white light in the world to send Tibbles home to you and many many {{{HUGS}}}. I hope you can keep your home. So many people are going through so much in this economic situation.

Come on home, Tibby, please, your meowmy needs you. Don't give up hope, CW, that website says that it often takes 5 days before they get so desperate for food they start coming out from cover and it was exactly on the fifth day, when I called for Libs (in a place I already knew she WASN'T), that she started answering my calls with miaows that I could follow.

Thanks for the bump, Emma. Still nothing. The ex has checked animal control twice.
Not to bring up a controversial subject, but I am more upset about my cat being lost than a certain young mother seems to have been over the "accidental drowning" of her daughter. You don't see me out partying or getting tattoos proclaiming my freedom.
