....... yes, Jcat, I'm so happy to get the break!........
..... I was looking at Millie's 'kitten of the day' picture again, my how she has grown from the wee little you first sent us pictures of!...... she's very pretty, I love her markings!
Awwww, thank you, AV. Hee hee, my mum said she doesn't think it does Millie justice! she was worried about me taking on a disabled kitten but now I think she's Millie's greatest champion. But she fell off the couch tonight, being bungee kitten, and I think it really hurt :( It will be a vet's trip tomorrow if she shows any signs of being hurt (she hasn't so far but I worry). Poor little mite.
Awwwwwww poor Millie, does she need cushions on the floor to land on?
Jcat, you and the kits are welcome to join me around the fire place. There is even a leopard skin print cat bed sitting there that Shadz won't use. I even washed it, not easy to dry as it is foam lined.
Good morning AV, still raining! ! Someone did a heck of a dance.

oh, poor baby, I hope she's ok!......... just like hooman children, they are oft times fearless and end up falling or getting hurt ....... *sighs* ...... it's hard as Mums, cause we can usually see it coming, but they can't!..... ((((gentle huggs)))) to little Millie!.....
..... ok, it's off to the shower for me, and then to my short day!...... the quicker I get things done, the sooner I'll be back on....... have a great day/everning all, stay warm down under, dry to the east, and I hope it pours in Texas, AZ and NM!............. *waves*
..... MS, I'm loving all this rain, I hope it continues!
GD, it's REALLY cold here. The only time I don't mind it is when I'm tucked up in bed with my cuppa something hot, two duvets and two hot water bottles and a fuzzbucket keeping my toes warm.
It was awful, GD, unfortunately there wasn't a pillow where she fell and she cried :( There were a lot of cuddles needed. Most of the time she is pretty smart now but there is still the odd accident-prone occasion and it's really hard on both of us :(
Why is it raining inside, GD? I was pretty sure roofs were meant to guard against that...
GD, raining inside? What sort of dance did AV do?
Jcat, temp dropping to 4.2C now. My thermometer is outside under a gazebo amongst some planters.

MS, there usually are pillows on the floor at the back of the couch but I gave Millie too much yoghurt the other night (I told myself it was to build her nice strong bones as the vet said she needs them being accident-prone but actually it was just as much to stop her trying to stick her face in my dessert) and she barfed all over the pillow I had there. If we ever get another sunny day, I may be able to get some washing done, including the pillow!
I may have to lay in a cheap supply of second-hand pillows from the Sally Army to put on the floor (as if my living room didn't look messy enough already, lol)
I don't know what kind of dance she did, but look at this:

We had to put buckets down at the gym to catch the water.
Poor Millie! I hope she's alright!
Phew, GD, I thought you meant it was raining inside at YOUR place. We can't have the kitties catching cold :(
GD, she seems fine, otherwise I would be on the phone to the emergency vet but it will be easier to reassure myself in daylight. If she does her usual mad half hour on the bed tonight, I will know she's okay.
Wow GD, that's some rain you have had and inside the Gym too. Yuk!

Yep, when we get summer storms, it often rains inside the gym :(
I'm surprised it never rains in at my rather crappy place (knock wood), but so far, so good!
Millie needs a padded suit of some kind! Maybe she cried because she got startled/scared rather than hurt from the fall?
SHe needs a wee crash helmet is what she needs, GD. She did get a nasty shock, we both did. That's why I am not sure about getting a cat tree for her, she would love climbing her way up it and perching on top to stare out the window but I am also worried she might fall and I don't want her up high if she does. You can always put pillows down around the base but she doesn't always land on them. But it seems unfair that she's inside so much and doesn't get to play outside, a cat tree would make it less dull for her. When I get a new couch I will push it against a window for her and then she can lie along the back and stare out, kitties love doing that.
Sorry for disappearing, noisy night in the neighbourhood. One domestic, over with quickly and now a group of very tipsy girls sitting on someones front lawn laughing and giggling noisily, and in the cold night air too.
Jcat, if only we could design a cat tree with safety barriers so she couldn't fall off.

Wouldn't that be great, MS, and with loads of safety hammocks! Sorry I disappeared too, went to boil the jug for my hotties (water bottles) and found the phantom leaky tap had done its secret work again and flooded the sink and the bench and the floor... I have been mopping up buckets of dirty water and feeling like I know what the rain inside looks like, lol. Just as well I was going to wash the floor and bench tomorrow anyway, now I really have to!
Oh great, just what you don;t need on a freezing cold winter's night/morning.
I've just noticed the time and now I know why I;m having trouble keeping my eyes open. Time I toddled off to bed now. Sweet dreams Jcat, headbonks to Millie and Libs the silent shadow.
Everyone else have a fantastic day.
