I hope Boo will be waiting for you at the front door. I've never had that happen, but can just imagine the worry and fear you are feeling.

Thank you all.
Boo still has not returned. I keep calling for her, and we have set up a carrier with one of my shirts inside, and food, but no signs of her yet.Posted 4 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

Haven't checked with neighbors shelley. They are none too friendly, and we live on acreage, so there is a lot of places she could be. And we can hear coyotes at night, so I'm afraid for her.

I'm sorry she's not back yet!
Don't discount your neighbors. They may surprise you. Talking to neighbors is how I figured how which way my kitty went. The one neighbor I never got along with actually helped me a lot. In fact, her kids had several sightings of Mittens and called us whenever they thought she might be in their yard. I think she was spending most of the time under their pool house. So not only did I get my cat back, I mended fences as well.You might try putting out some piles of her kitty litter around the perimeter of your yard (to mark her 'territory'). I left trails too. I put used litter in a garbage bag with a hole in it and left a trail from a few houses down to our yard....and I even left a trail of breakfast sausage. Smelly food like tuna in oil helps too.
Good luck.Posted 4 years ago by Violetbabykitty #

Bobbisox, I snuck on to the internet and saw this first thing. Please find your kid soon and let us know. I think we have all felt that fear in the pit of our stomach and sympathise. Sorry we can't help scour the area to help you in person, but we are with you. We need a tdk chant to bring home lost kitties.

No sign of Boo, yet, but I haven't given up hope.
I appreciate all the good vibes and ideas, and am implementing most of them in our search.

Bobbi, I too am saying prayers for Boo's safe return. Don't give up hope and please know that your TDK friends are here for you. Our Holly was gone for about 6 weeks a couple of years ago - longest summer of my life - but finally made it back home and isn't so eager to go outside anymore!! Will keep praying for you, and Holly, Romey and Olivia send their best wishes to Boo!

Aristabobbi, have you constructed any sort of shelter for Boo on the front porch?
I'd recommend a simple cardboard box, a little larger than a milk crate. It should have one side wide open, facing outward, so she feels she can escape instantly. But a thick, warm blanket, folded up and laid in the bottom, would give her a nesting spot for the night (if she wants to try to avoid coyotes). Even better if you've slept on the blanket; it'll smell like you. You could put the food and water dish nearby, a couple feet away.

I have an open carrier with one of my heavy shirts inside. Food available. Since the first night when I startled her so badly, I haven't seen any sign of her. And I'm beating myself up about scaring her so, even tho it doesn't make any sense to do it, I am feeling guilty.

Bobbi...I know about the 'what if' feeling. But, there's no sense in that. I believe Boo will come back. Just keep calling her & maybe shake a bag of food if the sound attracts her to you. And if you can,try to get a short nap in while someone else keeps a lookout for her. Think Positive that she'll come back home & she will. {{{HUGS}}}

A cat was spotted at an empty house, (not Boo) and we are going to check it out. Hopefully, my baby will be there, too.
Keep your fingers crossed.....Posted 4 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #
