Prayers for a friend

  1. A friend's son's platoon was hit today. He was shot in the face. Some have been killed, some injured. Please pray for these men and women that are trying to bring a semblance of peace to a war torn nation. May they all know peace and safety in their lives.

  5. The soldiers have my prayers as well as your friends son. I can only imagine what the family is going through at this time. Hugs and I hope he will be ok. So sorry.

  10. Prayers for protection and thorough healing of injuries for all in the platoon. Condolences and heartfelt thanks to the families of all those who died. My freedom is such a blessed gift, I don't know what I would do without these soldiers.

  11. Had a small sob there. The waiting for him to be stable and get out is horrible. She hasn't been able to speak to him, I doubt he would know what is going on now anyway--that may be a blessing. Heart breaks anytime soldiers are hurt or killed.

  16. I wish I had good news. He is now in Germany. It isn't good. They would like to send him to Walter Reed, but he is not stable enough to move. looks like his entire left side is paralyzed and he is blind. Please continue prayers, he has a very young family.

  18. How awful of a thing to happen. Sending all the Prayers I can muster for your friend & her son. She has Got to be frantic w/worry at this point. I hope he isn't in any pain.
    Prayers that the surgeons & nurses can save him & may God keep his mother strong thru this ordeal.

  22. Candle light vigil tonight--actually since we are gathering outside we asked people to bring a flashlight. Flames are too dangerous when it is this dry. It is bad and there is brain damage. Time will tell. Prayers are all we have.

  23. Well, if prayers are what is needed then prayers I shall lift up. Most Heavenly Father, take this soldier's well being into Your Hands. Hold onto his family. Even though we may never understand, Your will be done. But I ask that you bring this young man back to his family's loving arms and that You perform a miracle to make him whole again. Amen.

  26. Just got back from the prayer vigil. Very tough evening. I am going to help the family pack up the gifts to take to Walter Reed. There are so many of them there from his platoon. Tough evening, but when 2 or more are gathered in His name--May He be with us all.

  30. The young man that flew in with him to the first hospital didn't make it. As we are so very hopeful because he has made it so far, but the reality is bleak. My friend is leaving this afternoon to be there with the rest of the family. The prayer vigil lifted the spirits of the family.
