  6. Thank you so much. I look at the picture of his baby boy they had taken right befor he left--he was in his helmet. Sound asleep laying in his Daddy's helmet. So much heart ache and yet such strength.

  9. Thank you for the candles, they are beautiful. I thought this part of my life wsa over, but now I am watching the kids pick up when we retired. Life is a big circle. I can honestly say for military men and women to hear that they are appreciated means more than words can express. It also means a great deal to the families that support active duty members. May we all someday know peace--My prayer every day.

  10. He had surgery yesterday for an aneurism. He was in surgery for a little over 10 hours. So far they are hopeful. His body has been through so much. I appreciate the prayers that have been lifted for him. His Mom's text yesterday was very hopeful, but this is something they are afraid of. His sister-in-law and I chatted at 1am this morning. She sounds very hopeful, but tired beyond measure. The kids are doing okay. They know Dad is hurt, but they can't see him. Probably for the best as they need to reconstruct his face. All prayers are greatly appreciated. The family specifically asks that people pray for the ones that are still stationed far from home in harms way.

  11. I'm at a loss for words at this time. I can't fathom how our country could end up in such battle as to take our loved ones away or mame them to such extent.

If God is up there listening I'm asking him to hear my words to help these people in need of healing & give those that need it...Peace,Faith,Courage & Comfort to get thru it.

  13. I am thankful every day for the freedom I enjoy in this country. I am always aware that it comes at a price. Thank God for the men and women who serve to keep this country free. I am continuing to pray for the recovery of your friend's son SM, and for the other members of his platoon and their families.

  14. This afternoon DJ's daughter accepted his Purple Heart in a very touching ceremony. I know her Daddy would be proud of her. He is still holding his own this evening--I thank God for each minute he has with his family. I just pray for him to hold his son and daughter again.

  16. There was not a dry eye in the room. She was very solemn and seemed to understand how serious this all was. Considering she is not quite 4 that is saying something.

  20. He is still in a medically induced coma. They have brought him out twice and it hasn't worked well. For now I really think he ia a miracle of God and I am so thankful for all who have prayed for him and all the others that are there, here in hospital, and finally coming home. PJ's news thrilled me the most! She has family that is coming home!! There is nothing better than seeing the men and women return home safe and sound!
