So i have a litter of 5 week old kittens. the one that was the most active and the biggest out of the 3 is now the skinniest and cant seem to walk on her back left leg. I needs some advice other than taking her to the vet bc the ones around here are stupid and wont let me pay on my pay week. they want the money right then. I need to know what can be wrong with her so i can try and help her survive. I will take out a loan monday if i can get her thru the next few days.

http://www.feralcat.com/raising.htmlThe above are good links for raising kittens. What you are describing sounds serious and the kittens will need medical attention. I know you want answers now, but it really sounds like you need a vet. I pray that they will be okay, and yes I know you are doing your very best.

you could try some corn syrup, honey, or plain sugar water on the roof of her mouth to keep her blood sugar up.
also, it is very very important to keep her hydrated. if necessary, can you get a baby bottle for newborns and use that to get some water or goat's milk down her ? canned goat's milk can be found in the grocery aisle where flour and sugar are...
please do not use cow's milk as this can make her sick. also feed her with her feet to the ground and her back to the sky.

ive put a warm towel on her since i noticed. I dont have goats milk, but i will try water. I need to get a loan but idk of any place open at 9:30 pm...I know they will all need to go to the vet, but i ust dont have any money at this time. Im just praying she stays alive til monday. should i seperate her from the other 2?

And why would the mother cat wein them so early? she hasnt wanted to feed them for about a week and a hald now. they are ust 5 weeks old. the other 2 are doing great right now, very active and alert. but tigress just lays around, when i stand her up to see her walk, her back left leg doesnt support her and she just falls over...

It does sound like something is wrong with her rear end, but I also wonder if it might be parasites. Check out this page for suggestions on low cost vet care and details of the credit care card scheme: http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_veterinary_care.html
If we knew where you were, we could look for low-cost clinics in your area. Is she still eating and drinking? If she is still eating and drinking and not lethargic or limp, then she should be okay until you can get her to a clinic but if she stops eating or becomes lethargic, those are both danger signs, especially since she's only five weeks. If she does stop eating and drinking, you will need to keep her warm and comfortable, keep her fluids up with pedialyte (infants' aisle at the supermarket) and try to get hold of Nutrical, a high calory paste to give her some energy when she's not eating.
You can also make your own pedialyte out of boiled cooled water, sugar, salt and baking soda: check this thread:

Okay, so did mum's milk dry up or what? They can be weaned as early as four weeks but usually they like to keep drinking from mum for as long as they can. Has Tigress been getting enough food? Is she eating soft food? If she won't eat soft food you need to get her some kitten milk replacement formula or goats milk (baking aisle, Walmart).

No she isnt eating at all. Moms milk is still there, she just moves away wen they try to eat. i was so hopeful for tigress too. she was the first one to drink water from the bowl and we soaked kitten food in water to soften it and she was the first to eat it. but now she wont eat or drink anything. we are in johnson city tennessee. shes laying under the towel right now, i can pet her and she will move around, but if i stand her up she will try to take a step and just fall over.

Do you have wet (canned soft) food? Tuna or tuna water? Pure chicken baby food (Gerber's is a good brand but it must just be pure chicken, no garlic or onions, those are bad for cats)? If you have any of these, warm them gently, to make them more appetising, and try her with them. If she still won't eat, or you can't get your hands on any of these, make the home-made pedialyte and try to get it down here, you need to keep her fluids up. Nutrical would be best but, as CSBM says, you can also put a smear of Karo corn syrup on her mouth, no blobs, nothing that could choke her. The pedialyte has sugar in it as well so the pedialyte is the most important thing. I'll have a look for low cost clinics in Tennessee but also check out the credit care card. Obviously, a vet as soon as you can is the best thing you can do, not eating and lethargy are very serious symptoms.

thanks everyone. i cried so hard and my 5 year old son cried even harder! i appreciate all the thoughts and the help i recieved last night. i think it was from anemia bc she was covered in fleas...but i didnt have em do any tests to figure out the exact reason...and bc i was crying and so was my son, they didnt charge us anything even tho they attempted cpr as soon as we got there...

What about the other kittens? Are they covered in fleas? You need to bathe the kittens carefully in Dawn and get them off immediately. Dry the kittens as quickly and as well as you can and put them back in a warm place so they don't catch a chill. Then comb them every day with a flea comb and get as many as you can off. You need to treat the mum too, if you have her, with a flea treatment from the vet. Did they offer you anything to treat the others? Revolution is the best treatment for the mum. You may have to go to your vet to get it. Don't use over the counter treatments on the kittens or the mum, they are not good and the kittens are too young for otc treatments. Or you could use diatomaceous earth to treat the cats and your house -- it's messy but cheap. Use food grade DE, not swimming pool DE. Click on the pink tag 'fleas' to get more information and advice on how to deal with fleas.
You also need to get the mum spayed and any other males or females you may have around spayed or neutered. You will save yourself and your son much heartache and many dollars in vet bills if you learn how to take care of your cats and kittens responsibly. Flea treatment and neutering/spaying should be basics, and they are much cheaper than the alternatives.
