Morning, all! Thanks for opening the cafe, JK.
I had a fun weekend seeing the HP movie and going to the HP costume/prop exhibit in Times Square with my best friend. Kind of sad that now we won't have reasons to get together (she's in Philly), guess we'll just have to work harder at coming up with reasons to go back & forth.

Good morning JK and Kilroy! Kilroy she is your best friend, surely there are other reasons to get together! A day to chat and have tea, shopping together at Christmas, and there are other movies to see together. Friendship alone is the best reason to see each other!

Morning JK Kilroy and SM! Hope you ladies are having wonderful days.
I am just about to head to school. I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Uneventful weekend here - basically just doing work work work. I'm exciting for the upcoming weekend though because I am visiting my parents. There have been a lot of stray cats here lately. It was originally just the 2 I was seeing, but now we've seen 6 different cats. Yesterday we helped the neighbors catch a tiny tiny orangie striped boy who must have been about 7 - 8 weeks old and they are keeping him, so that was nice to see :) It kept running behind car tires in the parking lot and mewing this tiny little high pitched mew.

Morning littermates! So glad to see you all this morning and very happy to see that this heatwave hasn't caused any of you to melt (sugar melts you know!) I hope all have a fab day! Now please pass me a kitty that loves to cuddle.

LOL thanks SM! I am taking classes which end in 2 weeks. I am also in clinic working with clients for a summer practicum, and they haven't decided yet when it will end! Sometime in August, but date unknown. Then I go back August 26 for fall semester - 7 classes AND fall practicum! If I thought I was going crazy now, just wait until then....haha

On daughters 'puter again. Mine is definitely, terminally dead.
I've been looking online for a new one, and will shortly get into my car and go and actually look at some.
I want a matte screen, at least 4GB RAM and at least 500GB Hard drive; preferably 4 core processor, several USB sockets and a multi card reader would be nice. Oh yes, it must have a CD/DVD reader/recorder. Must be a laptop and must have wi-fi and bluetooth. Any suggestions?

Sorry PM, can't help on the 'puter front; we're an all-Mac family at this point. Sounds like you know exactly what you need, though, which is better than most folks when they go looking at technology.
BTW, saw Harry Potter on Friday and it was really good. Your former pupil was fantastic; I can't wait to see what he does next.

Morning/afternoon/evening all! I had a good weekend, did some hanging out with friends, workd on my house some and had awesome fresh corn on the cob, tomatoes and cucumbers from our farmer's market with every meal! I think those will go great with the hot dogs, so help yourselves!
I'm seeing HP tomorrow night and can't wait!!!

Morning ladies :)
Just bought some cucumbers and tomatoes, love them no matter how many times a day I could eat them. Watermelon with salt, pepper, and lime juice is my next fav food :) Went out this morning @ sparrow fart hour to get my oil changed and of course they said my water pump is leaking....well thank goodness it is still under warranty so taking it in on Friday to the dealership.

Hi all! Took the day off; neice is coming up and providing the storms hold off, we're off to the pool for some downtime. Used a gift cert today for a mani-pedi, it was my first time, hehe. *blushes*
Deb, have you tried cucumber water? I just made some yesterday. It gets mixed reviews, but I find it refreshing on a hot humid day.
Anyway, looks like I have a virtual housefull of cats celebrating Comet's birthday, so I'm probably better off being out of the way. He is the very first cat I've ever been owned by who I know the exact date of birth!Posted 10 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

That was when I tried it too, Kilroy, at my neice's summer wedding in Wisconsin. Good stuff!

Neat Africa cam, Deb! JK, I'm hoping to hit the farmer's market tomorrow too; there's one on the way up the mountain on Tuesdays. Jersey tomatoes are perfect right now. Hoping to score some corn and sugar snap peas.

AZdeb, I do salt on my watermelon, I may have to try it with pepper and lime juice too. I also salt my apples and salt and pepper my tomatoes.

Kykat, I do the same with my apples and tomatoes. First tried the pepper and lime juice on watermelon a few years ago and it puts a bit of zing in the taste. I use salt/pepper on other melons but not the lime juice.
