We haven't had a NS for a while so I thought it was time to have one again even though I'll most likely be the only one on it.
Fountains are flowing and there are large bowls of hot garlic popcorn and also chocolate popcorn.

Good morning MS it's lunchtime here, so I'll join you, but I'll have a lovely bowl of scotch broth with soft white bread and a cup of tea.
Hope you're staying warm. It's warm here but cloudy.

Morning, AZ!
MS, I know about computers misbehaving. I think I killed the computer at work yesterday - it keeps insisting it's empty now. Last time that happened (only a bit over a month ago) the hard drive was fried. I'm now on the old, much slower computer and getting frustrated.
-
Good morning Deb. How is the drive? All done?

It is morning or so the computer insists it is 4.02 am, lol. Now my stomach not so much and the rest of me is sure that the clock must be off. I feel beat up right now and honestly don't know why, going to take some motrin and see if that helps.
GD, don't be scaring the computer now, no killing it at all....how could you get onto TDK then.
Jan, at least its a bit warmer there this evening.

Evening, MS, Deb, GD and PM. I am just watching the tail end of the late news then will be coming out to do a bit of work at the 'puter. How have your days been so far? Just watched the first episode of The Walking Dead (series 1), it's just arrived here, about zombies, little Miss Millie was so scared she had to climb on my shoulder and put her head over the other side, lol.
-
I hope that Zion can help these big cats and find a good situation for them...

Morning Jane, I have the first series for the Walking Dead and haven't seen it yet...so how did you like it? Congrats to your friend for the three top awards :)

I know, Deb, it's so cool. Best of all, he's won enough money to live on for the next year while he writes his next book. (You don't get rich writing books in NZ. You don't even earn a living wage, lol.)
Deb, the first episode was very violent and bloody but really scarey. I've only seen Andrew Lincoln playing a weedy London teacher in the British series, Teachers, so it's weird to see him playing a southern sheriff. But I think it could get a bit samey from now on -- surrounded by zombies, blow off zombies' heads, escape to somewhere else, surrounded by more zombies, blow off ozmbies' heads.... where can they go from here, lol?
-
Evening Jcat, we just watched Walking the Dead too. Wooooooo, graphic but good. HRH kept her head down in her basket.
Congrats to your friend Jcat, Three top awards is fantastic.
Gym ghost? have we heard about this before GD?
Deb, I sure hope they can save Zion Wildlife Park, it's been a sad family breakup in the public eye.Posted 10 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Warehouse 13 is good but haven't heard of Alphas yet AV, oh goodmorning AV.

So the Walking Dead sounds like it is worth the look and even if I don't like it maybe my son will :)
Ghosts or zombies, well now I have had encounters with ghosts/spirits but never zombies and I believe I wouldn't want to have contact with them.
Jane, that is really cool that your friend will be able to concentrate on his writing without worry for the next year. I wish the same for you in your writings/editing of articles and write-ups for the magazines :)
Jan, it is sad about the wildlife park, had read a little bit about it in the news.
Ok funny note on another subject, there are at least three others working with me that now read stuff.co.nz for the content and to do the trivia quiz(s). I would send them the quiz everyday and now they are pulling it up themselves :) They now believe me when I tell them about articles that show up in the daily stuff and then a day or so later in the US news links.

AV, I like Warehouse 13 and have seen one and a half of Alphas so far. Don't know yet if I like Alphas enough to make it one of my dvr'd shows.
Sigh, may go back to bed here soon, not feeling good at all, so if I disappear thats where I have headed.

Evening back to ya, Jan!...... hope you guys are staying warm......
.... I thought about you the other day, I've been on a 'pizza from scratch kick' lately....... you know, when you find something you like to make, so you make it a lot, almost daily for a while........ made me think about you and Airy making all those yummy monkey breads!
-
LOL, Stuff is a bit addictive and they do seem to get foreign news up more quickly than NZ Herald.
I got 15/15 on the quiz - but it was the childrens quiz ! !
I still check KTLA news from when Airy was in LA, just a habit now.Posted 10 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Deb, Alphas comes on right before W13, I think..... same channel..... it's about an 'unusual' crime fighting team - people with special mental powers, that would otherwise be thought of as 'looney'...... a new twist..... it has the kid that played 'Mr. Nigel Murray' on Bones - I liked him as an actor.....
..... of course, our favorite new show is "Suits"......... Son IS living Mike's life on that show! it's really cute!
-
Deb, that is so funny about stuff.co.nz. It is our little Wellington daily paper, the Dominion Post -- plus the other papers around the country that that company runs. I can understand us Kiwis avidly reading the New York Times and suchlike but it seems really funny to think of your colleagues in Arizona reading the little old Dom Post... I'm even more surprised to think that some of the stories later show up in your mainstream news... it used to be when you left NZ to spend any time overseas, you never read anything about it anywhere while you were away, no one had even heard of us!
So sorry that you're not feeling good, my friend, take care of yourself. Sending you a huge big dollop of TDK healing energy. {{{{HUGS}}}
-
Deb, I'm off soon too, sweet dreams and I hope you feel better soon.
AV, last night Airy made cinnamon scrolls, oh so yummy and bad for me. We haven't made monkey bread for a while, may just have to make some this week.Posted 10 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

AV, pizza is always a good meal :)
Jan, Stuff is addictive I must admit :) KTLA news is something that I have watched most of my life, first thing on the tv every morning in my parent's house.
Ok, I am giving in and heading back to bed.
AV and GD, have a good day @ that place and enjoy your afternoon afterwards.
Jane and Jan, sleep well, stay warm and have sweet dreams, scritches to Libs, Millie and HRH in the morning.
