Found out on my parent's 55th anniversary (Thursday) that my Dad has cancer. SH$T!!! It's extremely rare--salivary gland cancer (parotid). 80% of the lumps are benign, so the dr. and my parents were shocked, to say the least. It's on the bone and they won't know the extent (if it's IN the bone and lymph nodes) until they get in. Please say a prayer for them, please. They're my best friends and I know I'm so blessed to still have them both around. Plus, an extra prayer that my Dad will be back on the golf course QUICKLY would be appreciated by him. :) Oh, and please don't mention this on FB (ok on TDK part). Their grandkids don't know yet and I'd hate for them to find out there.

Thanks, guys. It's just really scary--both of my parents are 75 and this is the first time that anyone in my immediate family has had a major health scare. We've been extremely lucky, and I'm the first to know how blessed we've been.

I hope they find your dad's cancer all benign.I know it's easier said than done but, please try not to think the worst. Stress can be such a strong enemy to the immune system.
