Good Morning Littermates! I want to honor my dad who would have been 82 today. I know he is going to celebrate at the Bridge will all our fur-butts that have gone before us. He was such a sucker for cats, he could have 100 crawling all over him and he would take in 100 more. I remember our very first cat, she wandered into our yard after having been "bumped" by a car. She was not horribly injured but she was bleeding, limping dazed and confused. He went and got his medical kit and took her into the laundry room. He gave her a bath, cleaned her wounds, bandaged her wounds, even 'prescribed' pain meds for her and made her a bed. I remember him baby-ing that cat to a fault! She was ours from that day forward. She recovered with little more than a kink in her tail and brought so much love and learning to us. Needless to say that was what started it all! Here 32 years later we all have cats and we all adore them. Thank you dad! My dads favorite was biscuits and gravy, grapefruit, and a big cup of coffee. We will have that in his honor today! Hope you have a spectacular day yourself!

MC, that is the way my Mom was, a stray cat would just run up to her somehow knowing that she would care for it :)

Hi all! Waves frantically from up north! Hey it got in the FORTIES last night! What is up with that!? I would like it to cool a bit but I am not ready for summer to be over yet. I swear just the other day we had two feet of snow on the ground! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO winter please! Oh and on the cafe today we MUST MUST MUST have carrot cake for my dad! He had it every single year on his birthday and I must say mom could make an amazing cake!

Happy Birthday to MC's Dad, Debsterwiz and SMM...what a great day to have all these birthdays. I also have a friend who's birthday is today...Aug 11 is a special day indeed.
Gorgeous here today 77, no humidity...so nice...I might take the girls to the county fair tonight...it's kids night so it's a lot cheaper :) We shall see what the day and the wallet holds...lol
