    "My stupid head hurts today about a 27 on a scale from 1-10, and I took a dopey pill which did NOTHING *sigh* So now I'm stuck because I can't take another for 8 hours (well, 5 now). This sucks."

  6. Thanks everyone, and CSBM for the thread. I laid down flat for a bit, which helps, but as soon as I get up it gets bad again. Hoping another stupid pill will help around 7:00.

    Thanks again.

  11. Hope that the rain clears, can't help but think the weather pressure is increasing the pain. May the rest keep things to a dull roar until you can hopefull get some medical relief.

  16. Morning, all; thank you again for all the good wishes. Took a pill around 7 last night which did nothing, so Mr. K talked me into taking a second one at 8 which helped a little. Got a decent night sleep, not perfect but OK, but now head is back to full strength awful. Don't really know what to do. My boss is off this week, and I'm afraid that if I call in it will look like I'm taking advantage of her being out to skip out on work (she knows about my stupid head, but nobody else in the office does). Part of the problem is, I really don't think anything will fix it or make it less awful, so what's the point in trying to do anything?

  17. Kilroy, glad that you got a decent night's sleep even if not perfect. If you don't feel up to it, call in my friend. Honestly no reason to feel like crud and then be at work on top of it all.

  18. Morning, Deb. I have 2 hours before I have to leave so I may change my mind before then, we'll see.

  19. Kilroy, alright, just know how it feels to be in that position.

  20. (((Kilroy))) Sorry your head is still in pain. Honey, take the day off. At least be at home where you can rest, nap, take a pill etc rather than be at a stressful job where your head could hurt more.

  21. I vote for staying at home too. Your boss knows you are the woman who comes in during snowstorms! it's a fair bet your co-workers know full well how conscientious you are and if they don't, more fool them.

  22. Morning CM, and evening Jcat. I'm leaning toward being my hyperesponsible self & going to work; I took a stupid pill about an hour ago (just one, yesterday was the first time I ever took 2 that close together even though the label says it's OK to take 2 at a time), and it seems to be working. Today's not one of my crazy days at work, and with the boss out a certain amount of the usual stress should be gone.

    I really appreciate everyone's concern; please consider yourselves collectively hugged :)

    Oh and SM, if you read this, Mr. K agrees with you that there's a connection to the weather, he actually went & looked up what the barometric pressure's been doing here for the past few days. It would make sense; if the moon can move an ocean, it can almost certainly move the lakes of fluid in my skull.

  24. Trust me Kilroy I get it. Hang in there. I know it's easier for me to say but I really mean it.

  25. I know you do, MC, and I appreciate it. How are you doing today?

    Posted 9 months ago by Kilroy #

  26. Morning MC :)

    Kilroy, the pressure system does mess with my migraines so yes I agree with CM.

  27. Awww Kilroy....I am so sorry you have to suffer with those blasted headaches,and everyone else that is in the same boat!!!! How awful!! I believe too, the pressure system does have an effect on that. I hope you have a good day, and that your pain subsides!!!! {{{{{KILROY}}}}}

  28. Thanks, KH. I resorted to another stupid pill, which actually did what it was supposed to do, hurray, so here I am at work. Should be reasonably quiet today. Head's not 100% better, but it's a heck of a lot better than it was about 14 hours ago.
