   The night Shift has been unattended for six hours, so I think it's time to open the café for breakfast. It's early for those the other side of the pond, and it's late in NZ but what the heck.

   In UK it's A level results day. Today all the 18 year olds find out if they've got into the university of their choice or not. So we need champagne to celebrate for the successful ones and warm cuddly hot chocolate for those who didn't achieve what they needed.

   Every food and drink you could want (appropriate to your time zone) is available served by prettily freshly brushed kitties (hairnets can be worn if required!).

   Good luck to all UK students awaiting results - they'll be available online in about 15 minutes. (I bet the website crashes....)

    Morning. Those are spectaclAr marks PM!! Hoping DM gets just as good of news. I was quite nervous on this day myself, I wanted so bad to get into PURDUE. In animal sciences purdue is #1. Then I didn't go on to be a v-e-t after all!!! Still a great school. Slept a little better last night but not great. My staples are starting to itch. At least that means they are healing. My girls are so snuggly

    Glad you slept a bit better last night, MC. I got my usual 5 1/2 hours and I'm dragging. GG is going out of town to visit his brother in KY for a few days, so I get to Glen-sit :)

    Yep! I get Glen, a/c, and tv! I do have a dog to watch Saturday to Sunday, but she's easy and I don't have to stay over with her. GG will be back on Monday.

    Morning, AV, I had great progress with Libs on the coldest night in about 50 years, she stayed in, YAY! She went out for a bit but came back in, first sleeping in her chair in the dining room and then later on in her sheepskin basket by the heater, YAYYYYYYYYY! I do not know whether she was too cold to stay out (very probably) or under the impression Millie had left the building (because Millie was mostly hiding under many layers of duvets and blankets, lol) or whether she is finally coming round a bit.

    Unfortunately she's not been seen very much tonight, and she's cross with me because she brought a live mouse in and let it loose (I think it's under my bed) so later, when she wanted to bring a big dead one in, I wouldn't let her. She reckons she can't win with me, lol.

    Just gone the witching hour here so I think I am off to bed too, have a great day, everyone!

    Morning all, and nighty-night to my So. Hem. friends. That place has been discouraging lately; I've lost some of the passion for what I do. I can't spend much time hanging out, but it helps me these days to see everyone here and say hello! I wish I could get on all the threads, to wish folks well, encourage those with concerns about their kitties, to fun threads - with and without kitties, to greeting newbies. It takes all I have to leave my babies in the morning. I'm often "'putered out", so I haven't posted much after. Trust me, I am determined to get out of this funk. I've done nothing wrong. I have to just keep getting up, dust myself off, and I will prevail! Love you all!
