I am early to start the NS tonight as I am going to watch the NFL game. Thank goodness football is back or I might go crazy here at home. Our menu is delicious tonight! We have a carved out watermelon with different melon balls inside, a fruit and cheese platter, homeade chili, homeade chicken noodle soup, southern cornbread and honey, make your own salads, quesadillas , chicken wings, nachos, sliders, chocolate dipped strawberries, pretzels, chips, ice cream, all sorts of foods that are downright yummy (maybe not good on the waist though). Enjoy, they have no calories, and taste better @TDK. I am going to sit here with my girls on the couch, munch on some cornbread, eat some chicken soup and some delicious ice cream. Don't mind me if I fall asleep again, just work around me! :-)

Hi MC!! How are you feeling? Are the girls taking good care of you?
Can I have some watermelon, please? I've been craving the stuff, but keep finding it in less than perfect condition everywhere, and I only buy it when it's good. Everything else looks delicious, but I'm still feeling iffy, so I think I'll stick with the watermelon for now :)

The girls have been really great nurses though Wilma is a bit frisky. I have to remind her frequently that she cannot be jumping on my tummy whenever she feels like it. It hurts so much but I know she doesn't realize what she is doing. I just scoot her off and back she comes!

Evening, All! I am back from a quick trip to El Paso but I am knackered. It was just me so much driving alone. So tired. So I am off to read, relax and get ready for tomorrow.

Hey there Jan, no guess you can't complain with it being winter and all. We are supposed to be in *monsoon* season, hmmph more like *nonsoon* in my part of town! We can see the black clouds come in, the severe weather warnings pop up on tv and radio, and still not a drop, zip, nil, none.

I guess that could be good occasionally but time after time can't be good. You need that rain, the gardens need it as do the animals.
I've got the first of my summer tomato seeds up today along with basil. I have them inside in a mini hot house. Next target will be capsicums and more tomatoes. I've got Green Sausage tomatoes that TKN put me onto several years ago. Spring isn't far away now.

So the plot thickens, one would think that the shooter (couldn't think of a more polite way of saying idiot) would want things to be quiet. Can't imagine shooting oneself with a *pink* weapon would do anything for his reputation within the community and his friends!
Plus now it comes out that he found the weapon while rummaging thru his gf's purse and that he has priors for burglaries so he would know how to have her charged for it now.

...doing well, Deb, OMG - I love ALL those receipies, particularly Chicken and Dumplings - *runs* to grocery list and adds ingredients for C&D...... now I'll crave that until I make some!
... looking forward to the weekend - house was super cleaned last weekend after kids went back to school, so this weekend is minimal maintenance and quiet with just Mr. AV and I...... (dare I say, 'ahhhhhh').... LOL

...... yep, I make my own 'healthier' versions of many of those!.... I love the Chicken Parmasesn - I make an oven baked version that is delicious!
..... since we had to practically bleach and gutt Son's room and the rest of the 'guest' places his animals lived for the summer, the house sparkles!

Morning, all. LOVED the kitty in a boot and the big kitties playing with toys (especially the shot where all of a sudden someone was checking out the camera, oh hi!).
Hope everyone has a great day. I am counting the hours until the end of my day at that place, because then I'm on vacation until next Thursday. Will probably spend most of it lying down in a dark room, but it beats being at work.
