I shoulda come here for my unhealthy breakfast. The health fairy decided to punish me when I decided two chocolate chip cookies were ok and a piece of one gouged my throat on the way down. Now I have a sore throat and Cali and Theresa have a therapy visit at 2pm. I need to be able to talk lol. Time to make some green tea I suppose, little honey and lemon and the throat will feel much better! :)

Hi all. Being kind of quiet today, but wanted to report that my head, while still evil, might be just *slightly* less evil, maybe? By this point yesterday I was hiding in a stall in the bathroom at work & crying because I hurt so much; today it's not quite at that point although it still hurts THIS MUCH.
Aw Kilroy...here comes a big fluffy orangie w/boquet of glads(iolas) to escort you to the purrfect patio! A comfy lounge chair is waiting for you along with a basket of mini floofie orangies to cuddle!

Morning, All! I've been gone for about three days - drove out to El Paso to see a friend. I was SO jealous - they had rain while I was there!!! I think it's the only part of Texas getting any rain these days.
And now - I get to go to the grocery store!!!! How exciting :-(

It really does, MC. And I can't get an appt with the NS until Sept. 20, by which time either the evil will go away (I hope) or I'll throw myself off our 15th floor balcony (don't panic, I'm kidding, I think).
I counted my loopy pills and I only have 17 left; basically enough for 1 every other day. I could call my primary doc for a refill, but can you believe that right before this all started I was swearing that I wasn't going to refill the prescription because they make me feel yucky?
Zzz....wha...mmm salads...Rainbow, Crunchy ramen coleslaw...chopped...dreamin' 'bout salads...gonna try Av's crunchy coleslaw this weekend, yum! Ok, back to reality of 1/2 more day of wurk...gotta go back Tux, see ya later kit...now, where's my iced coffee...needs more cubes & a sprig o'mint...
I have to share with the other tomato addicts out there. Tomato addicts spend their summers in search of the perfect home grown tomato. One that is perfectly ripe and tender, without being mealy, the perfect balance of sweet and tart, the rich red color and the heavenly aroma. Today I had the perfect tomato and ate it both on a tomato sandwich that was so drippy, I had to wrap it in a napkin, and sliced with salt and pepper. It was a ruby red and juicy betterboy that was big enough to almost cover the slice of bread. When I was done, I drank the juice off of the plate upon which it was sliced.
Now if that doesn't make you run down to the farmer's market in search of a sack full of tomatoes, nothing will!

Afternoon everyone!... TGIF!!!!!!.... off and glad to be at home relaxing!..... grey skies promise (but don't always deliver) rain........ no GD, I'm not pulling out the tutu (yet) ..... we'll wait and see......
...... I don't really feel like cooking tonight, so I'm rumaging in the fridge for something to feed Mr. AV...... does anyone have a bag of 'husband chow' ??? LOL

We are off for our "movie night". Tonights menu for the movie is grilled veal sandwiches with caramelized onions, garlic mayo and melted munster cheese. And the movie is Little Women! My book group read it over the summer and I loved it as much as when I read it as a young girl. Back then I begged my family to start calling me Beth. When they refused I begged to be called Jo, because Josephine is actually my middle name. They wouldn't go for that, either. And so I was left with my extremely boring name.
