Hi MC! That's sounds wonderful and those kits are just toooo cute in those sombrero's! I love gazpacho and will take a nice big bowl and to offset the chill of the soup i'll have some speecy spicy anything!
Been working in the house... lots of progress this weekend. Put an old filing cabinet out in the junk pile and someone took it, which is okay, but then I"m thinking "maybe I could've sold it and made $2!" Then again, it's one more thing out of the house, right? :-)
I'm off to nap as I'm am bushed. May be back later.
Hope you are feeling better and stronger and letting the girls be good little nurses!

Girls are being great nurses! They are a bit flighty from time to time and go off and play with their catnip but they are good nurses. I really am in a Mexican food mood for sure!

Well I got little housekeeping done today. It was nice so I decided to get a bit of sun on my pale face. When it got too hot I brought my reading inside; before I knew it, I was napping! Litterboxes and kitty dishes are clean, though, and the kitchen is free of dirty dishes.
So a tex-mex sounds great this evening! That would explain why Leela was pointing to her poofy floral dress and Comet's sombrero. I'm headed for the nacho table...
Oh and I think Leela and Comet snuck thru the wormhole...Posted 9 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Yum! I'll join you with a margarita!

Hello Night Shifters!..... had a great day, not too much productive, but lots of love and learning (about various family members probs)...... heading into a week of MAJOR tests and stress, but will put the 'battle face' on! LOL.... tomorrow is a relaxing day for me, so hopefully I'll be able to recoop some energy to gear up for my 'warrior' week ahead! LOL
-
Evening AV, try and relax tomorrow so your *warrior* week comes and passes with a snap of your fingers. When it gets too stressful, think of the *tutu* that has to make you smile :)

Love the opening foods, salsa verde on most anything works for me and always love watermelon (even though the last couple of times I have gotten it has been less than satisfying). For dessert I am going for strawberry cheesecake ice cream and have to admit it I like Walgreen's brand the best of all, for strawberry ice cream it would be Blue Bell.
The picture on today's www.bing.com is so cute, little ellie and cattle egrets.

Oy... we have had good friends over for dinner but it did mean me cooking for a large part of the day. And no matter that I wash the dishes all day long as I go along but at the end of the evening.... more dishes. All are done now, kitchen spic and span (as I cannot stand it any other way) and I am off to bed. And tomorrow... no cooking for me. Leftovers and whatever I can scrape together. But my kitchen duty is done for at least a day.

Evening all, look what I found - a 5 hour old Night Shift. It was starting to dry out and curl at the edges. LOL
I'll help myself to some gazpacho and shrimps.
AV, don't let your week wear you out.
WWM, you deserve a rest after all that cooking and entertaining.
We're taking it easy here tonight, Mr MS has returned after working out of town for 10 days and I had acres of washing to do. Just as well we had a beautiful Springlike day.
Ohhhhhhhhh ! Did I hear Deb say strawberry cheesecake ice cream? Yes please.Posted 9 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Hola Jan, sitting here wishing I was @ home. Glad that Mr. MS is home, even with all the washing he brought with him. Yes strawberry cheesecake ice cream, it is so good and I am willing to share :)

Hi Deb, sorry I was off looking at Orange marmalade recipes, found one that suggested grating some ginger into the mix, that sounds delicious so I'm going to try it.
LOL, you do like Stuff don't you. Those are great stories and I beleive the turtle is responding well. KK says they have a seal pup in the lagoon in her area, it was still there this evening, I wonder if it will make the news too like Happy Feet did. Awwwwwwww, to the pets in the snow 1 & 2. I'll never forget the looks of confusion from our dogs many years ago when they experienced their first snow, so funny. The cats just took it in the stride and bounded through it like kangaroos.
Ohhhhhhh that grey cat does have cute paws and toes!Posted 9 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Jan, lol I do understand. Just found a recipe for Mustard and herb lamb chops with honey dressing, will send it when I get the link.

I agree. So is gardening and we had such a beautiful day I weeded the vege garden in preparation for some broccoli plants I bought. I also bought some polyanthus flower plants and they are now a splash of colour when I look out the door. I'm looking forward to Spring arriving but not just yet.

Oh the splash of colour sounds good, I have planted things that I can see out my family room window...mostly purples since I do love the pop of colour :) Helped Lynn weed one of the neighbors yard, the lady works 12 + hrs a day 75 miles away and her yard was losing the battle to weeds.

I have different colour flowers but I have one gorgeous burnt orange one in a purple pot right by the door. Oddly they suit each other.
The Good Wife is on now so I'll be back during the ads.Posted 9 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Ohhhh orange and purple do look good together, I have a plant with orange bell flowers on it...supposed to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Enjoy watching the Good Wife.

Ohhhhhhhhhh good episode!
Evening Kilroy, hope your day has started out better than your yesterday bug day.
I managed to get Mr MS's lunch made during the ad breaks and now it's time I headed for bed. HRH is all tucked up in her basket, by the fire which I have stacked for the night in the hope that she doesn't get cold and come up and take over my bed in her search for warmth. Everything is locked, turned off and out away so I'll bid you all goodnight/day. Sweet dreams Deb & Jcat and headbonks to all the furkids.Posted 9 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Night MS and Deb, hope you have restful sleeps!...
Morning Kilroy!.... hope the head gives you a break today..... I'm trying to get Mr. AV out the door - he has a business trip for a few days, so this afternoon I'll be lazy with just me and Abby.......
... if I was smart, I'd be tweaking my presentation that is coming up in the week ahead....... *sighs* but I'm just not 'smarter than a fifth grader'..... LOL
-
Sigh, wouldn't you know that I got biiizzzzeeeee there for a bit....
Morning AV, good luck with the presentation :)

..... Morning Deb, I mis-read above...... I thought for some reason you were home, getting ready to 'try' and rest some!........ well, can't be long now, right?!
..... I have to give Mr. AV credit, he has done wonders with the potted flowers in the house and on the front porch - I just hope I don't kill them while he's gone for a few days!
