It's good you are getting rid of your staples and drain today! That is an accomplishment!
It is dark here and raining...some thunder, too. I know we needed the rain, but let's see some sun today,too!

MC, outstanding that you get rid of the staples and drains today! That almost sounds like you've been a walking combination of office and plumbing supplies. Once upon a time, who ever would have thought that staples and super glue would become medical items!
Hope you feel MUCH better for getting them out and that you heal quickly. Hang in there lady.
Since you kindly opened the cafe with Panera catering, think I'll start the morning with a cinnamon roll and hot tea. :)

Good morning MC, Kat, Deb & Marnet! Thanks Mcat for getting the cafe going today! It is overcast and 70ish in brewtown which made for a pleasant walk with seeing my fave persian kit in the window on my way to wurk! Mmm I will have a cheesie bagel and a very large cuppa joe to start this am fun! Waves to anyone else who sneaks in with wishes for a better than can expect Toosday! Now smoochies for Tux, later! BTW Mcat, no tornados around here yet, just alot of tomatoes! Yay for your tubes & staple removal today too Amy!

Good afternoon. Just had a beautiful bacon sandwich for lunch and I GOT MY COMPUTER TO TALK TO MY PRINTER! Sorry for the volume there, but I've been trying to get it to work for a month now and I've finally done it. Hooray.

MC hope the appointment goes really well and that healing will speed up once the staples and drains have gone.

Since Panera is catering today I'll have a large iced tea, a strawberry chicken poppysead salad and a chocolate pastry! I'm still in tomato heaven. I slipped out of work for 5 minutes and went to the farmer's market for a re-supply of tomatoes and cukes. I found a couple of really nice ripe ones so I had a sliced tomato with salt and pepper for my morning snack. mmmmm so good I drank the juice out of the plate!

Mmm sounds yummy KK! My aunt has a "fireman's salad" with tomatoes, cukes, green peppers & onions...similar to this: (Hope it comes up!)

It is grey & was drizzly before but always purrfect on the TDK patio where I am headed w/fave kit Tux...c'mon kit...to the lounge chair for some RR & purrrs!
Oyy didn't come up! Anyway here goes:
2 cukes, peeled, cubed
1 lge tomato cubed
1 sm purple onion sliced1/3 c veg oil
3 T sugar
3 T RW vinegar
1/4 t salt
1/8 t pepperCombine vegs & marinade. Let stand in fridge for 3 hours before serving.

Oh dear - we had to return to the Very Extremely Terrible place again this morning with Willow. She is quite vexed at us but the good news is that her UTI has cleared up. The bad news - we have to go back in about three weeks for her shots.

I'm still putting drops into Pickle's left eye after her trip to that same place last Friday. We went for the check up and annual vaccinations, but discovered a wound in the centre of her left eye ("probably fighting" said the vet, who knows her well!)so she has to have a drop every morning and another every evening. It's fun!

.... well, I am EXHAUSTED!!!!!...... all day, I've leapt, twirled, and danced my toes off!....... FINALLY managed to 'push' Irene East..... *whew!*...... now if she'll just 'behave' and stay east of Fla. I can go forward with my vacation and the east coast will be safe! (you're welcome GD :)
.... I'm at the mercy of MIL and her friend "Bob"s agenda, but GD I'm going to email you my cell phone number, and I hope you give me yours back..... If I can talk them into a 'detour' to Boca, I'll try to meet you..... I really have no idea what they have planned.......
... my presentation went well today, even tho it was an 80 mile drive by the time I went to the corporate office and back! (TIRED!)...... am planning on making a nice bowl of miso/fish soup tonight - another 'me' dinner, with Mr. AV away.......
