.... Dee, how did you know?..... those chicken waffels look wonderful!..... and don't laugh, but my Grandma would make me fried bologna waffels (for breakfast) cause I didn't like the sweet kind, tho my sis and bro would eat them with 'THAT EVIL YELLOW FRUIT'........ LOl

*gags* ....... at 'the thought' of those squishy disgusting yellow thingys....
.... GD, it's looking better and better for me getting on that plane, now they have the 'cone' quite a ways off the east coast (yay!).... will keep you updated!......
.... on a lighter note, I went to the Land and Sea market yesterday after work, and was 'impressed' with their array of fresh seafood, meats and speciality sauces/items...... I bought a nice piece of Orange Roughy fish and last night made my miso/fish soup, that was absolutely delicious!....... (Mr. AV doesn't know what he's missing)....... I have plenty left over for tonight, and will probably make an avacado/roasted pepper/fontina grilled cheese sami to go with it......
.... the 'tutu' is resting comfortably in it's hiding place (never know who may creep through the wormhole looking for it - LOL)....... as long as Irene stays off the east coast........ if it looks like she's going to make a 'direct' hit in the NE, I may 'try' and divert her some more, but I'm a little 'shy' cause I don't want to make things worse under the earth :)
We had some big t-storms last night and Luna was beside herself. She doesn't like the noise! I think she hides in the bedroom closet. She was all purry and friendly and 'pick-me-up-and-cuddle-me' this morning. I liked that! Maybe we need nighttime thunderstorms more often?

I'm back, was watching Dr Who(second or third time I've seen the episode) and also waching Airy and Shadz play with a piece of string. Suddenly Shadz started chasing her tail, she's not done that before. She is also dashing around the house like a crazy cat. It could be a long night in the MS house.

Evening, ladies, I'm not here long, just finished a few hours of checking references, really riveting. How is everyone? You're up late, MS! Yum, yum, can I have a cafe au lait please and a big Belgian waffle with chantilly cream, chocolate and strawberries? (The strawberries make it healthy, lol.) Wee Libs is tired of sleeping on my lab and has decided to wreck my desk.
OMG! I didn't realise it was past 1am! Way passed my bedtime.

Morning, all. Last day of vacation & I'm hanging around waiting for the exterminator. Hope he can do something without putting down anything poisonous where George can get at it.
Jcat, is it Libs or Millie on your lap/desk? If it's Libby, yay that she's inside!
We went out for dinner last night & walked a fair way over to the restaurant before getting a bus; I managed to slip on a curb cut (cut out ramp in the sidewalk for wheelchairs) and go *** over teakettle, I've got a lovely assortment of scrapes & bruises this morning. Dinner was nice, though.
Stupid NS office never called me back. Guess I have to wait another month.
Oh, Kilroy, what a stupid NS office and what a stupid curb. Can you ring the office again today, why should you have to wait forever for their mistake? Sorry about the fall, ouch, that must really have hurt, but I'm glad you didn't do any really nasty damage.
You're right, I meant to type Millie, it must be time for me to go to bed. I've barely seen Libs this week, don't know if it's because the weather is so much better or what, but I miss her and am getting discouraged again :( She's been turning her nose up at her food, too, no matter what I give her. She would never wreck my desk, and she is not a lap cat either, but she did used to like to sleep close to me, somewhere handy.
Curb cuts are notoriously slippery and I was wearing my work shoes, which don't really have heels but have very smooth soles with no traction. Bad combination.
One thing I will say I've learned as someone with a talent for falling down; there are usually nice people around who will offer to help you up and ask if you're OK. Luckily this time Mr. K was there, but I've fallen down on other occasions when I was by myself (if I trip over something I have absolutely no hope of catching myself, my balance is too bad), and someone almost always offers to help me up.
Libby, please behave! Mamma loves you and wants you inside where she can spoil you. Millie is not the enemy, I promise.
I've given up on the NS office, mostly since I don't think they can really do anything to help, anyway. Bah.
