Joan, you'd be amazed how often parents leave their kids in the car, usually because of some change in routine or "the other parent was supposed to get them". But the story seemed to imply that she didn't even know the kid was there (dad had "loaded" the daughter in the car "at some point") - really? As CM would say, really??
-
Wow.
It was enough for me that many years ago Shaddo jumped into my truck while I was getting out of it. He was young and quick, and I didn't see him. The cats were required to "check in" with mama once in a while when they were outside, and when Shaddo didn't check in, the search commenced. Finally we heard a weak croaking sound and found the poor fella. It took a while, but we got his body temp down, slowly and carefully. I was so scared for him.
Mittens, in honor of your birthday I'll go with your suggestion and add a brownie to my 'nanner split!Posted 9 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

I had banana split ice cream, very good :)
Heck I look for the crew in the house, shut Red and Lil Girl in the spare room last night because they followed me and I didn't see them go under the bed. Heard the quiet mews later from Red, opened the door and he shot out like his behind was on fire :)

I don't approve of violence or bullying in the workplace and/or schools, this article was a good one about bullying. Glad that the school understood and did not punish the child who had been a victim so long.

Morning all. I'll have a cup of coffee and brioche served by the lovely ginger Glen.
Mittens! So lovely to see you here and congratulations on the new relationship and marriage! It's great to know you have begun a happy new life. I'm sure you'll get used to Southern California but I can understand how you must miss the Central Coast. You'll just have to go and check out some southern lighthouses ;-)Posted 9 months ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

Hey Kilroy. I'm good today - it's Friday! Got to go and meet a potential new client this morning to get some background before we pitch for a job, so feeling a little nervous. I'm not a 'rainmaker' - I prefer to just get on with stuff behind the scenes once someone else has pulled in the work! I have MS's daughter Airy coming to stay tomorrow for a week while MrKK is away overseas at a conference so it will be nice to have her around for company. How's your day - recovering from your bruises and scrapes? I hope the head is behaving today.

Thanks KK. There are some cool lighthouses in the area we want to check out. When we drove up to Hearst Castle, I showed hubby where the lighthouse is and he wants to visit. Please say Hi to Airy for me. Every time we drive by the Spectrum I think of how much fun it was meeting her.

I'll pass on your regards, Mittens.
