  2. Kits have finally finished setting up noms as breakie faves along with lighter fare of cheese and fruit platter plus carb-free muffin mania, any flave you can imagine! Bevie bar is set up with hot brews, moo drinks, juices and smoothies. There is a mimosa fountain for those closer to mid day fun! Me, need my cuppa joe, a banana nut muffin & will go for now but back in a bit! Paw up waves to anyone who sneaks in...now a smooch for Tux, later!

  3. Good morning, JK! How are you this morning?
I barely slept last night as it was 90 degrees in my place so I'm tired today. And I'm supposed to be packing and moving and I just took a look around and I really don't want to!!!!!! Does anyone know if Sven may be available to help?

  4. Hmm, hi GD...saw Sven w/Hazle Sat nite...watching a movie at some place they were to be cleaning...was it at your or Glen's place by chance/tee hee!?
Where are you moving to...new place, city , state, country?! Hey, my niece is headed down to FL on the 31st.? I think she said Belleview...1-1/2 hour from Daytona...anyway grab a muffin or a ? while you wait for Sven!
Aw, GD just read your posts on the Sun nite shift. Good luck, yup too many no shows to continue living there! I told my niece about the hyperkewl mat for her kit Dakota who will soon be a FL feline too!

  5. Morning Jeankit :)

Had to catch my breath and wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes after reading Emma's Tornado Twins' adventure (For Sale: Two Kitties)

  6. Morning, all. All quiet here after a weekend that wasn't nearly as dramatic as we expected.

GD, I'm totally with you on the need for you to move; good luck finding a perfect place for you & the boys (and the ducks??).

My big excitement today is I just bought tix for the Duran Duran concert at Madison Square Garden in October; now I just have to find someone to go with me. Mr. K says he'll go if I can't find anyone, but I'd rather go with a fellow Duranie :)

  7. Hi Kids!
Glad to know the TDKers are safe from that crazy Irene!!!!! I hope things continue to improve!
Daughter made it to AZ safely and the trip was without incident and things went according to schedule.
I got a new computer.....good,but annoying at the same time....I am used to the old-school keyboard and this flat one is making me mess up big time.....Hubs, the computer expert won't be home till Friday and some things are messed up....grrrr, I hate technology at times. Transferring things from XP to 7 doesn't work that well.....I am not impressed with Windows 7. Oh well, these probs are small compared to what is happening in the world!! I shouldn't complain!
I hope you all have a great day!

  8. Sneaking in for a topper on my cuppa joe...waves hi to neighbor Kat on new 'puter, Kilory/how is Georgie doing after the stormy weekend?! Thanks for the heads up on Emma's post Deb, too funny! Anyways back to more fun at wurk in brewtown! (Boss just took his 13yr old to get her braces adjusted...she is sooo pretty now, soon she will have a radiant smile to go with her beauty & smarts too!)

Posted 9 months ago by jeankit #

  9. JK, Georgie is just fine. He didn't seem bothered by the storm at all, in fact he was loving watching the rain & stuff blowing around.

  10. Aw, good boy Georgie...those orangies need to be entertained! Yup, Crockey likes going outside...even when it is drizzling so I stand there w/ hood up or umbrella while he hangs out w/mother nature & Lucky!

  11. Okay, I did pretty well. Got a load of stuff ready and dropped it at XBF's house. Went and threw more clothing in the donation bin, too. Just now loaded my half-size (and heavy!) freezer in my car (good thing I drive a jeep!) to take over next with some other things. Banged my foot and knee doing it and once I got to the car, I wasn't able to lift the darn thing into the back - doesn't help that the hatch won't stay open! I was about to give up when the neighbor across the street came running over. First he sawed a piece of wood I can keep and use to prop the hatch open and then he helped me lift the freezer in. He said to come over if I need help with anything else - poor guy may be helping move my heavy dresser next!

  12. I'm not even sure, by the way, that I'm going to need all this stuff, but if I don't, I will hold a garage sale with my friend and make some welcome cash. That should be worth a few bruises.

I'm headed to the gym in 20 minutes to shower (yeah, great combo, no a/c and a broken shower!) and then am off to look at one of the places I am interested in. Wish me luck!!

Posted 9 months ago by GD #

  13. GD, that definitely sounds like a place you need to get out of - good luck!

Posted 9 months ago by Kilroy #

  14. Thanks, Kilroy! I know I do - can't believe I've been here just over four years! I'll miss a couple of the neighbors and some of the ducks, though!

Posted 9 months ago by GD #

  15. Hi guys! Good luck with your move GD. I'm sure the ducks will really miss you and the boys.

  16. Hi BB! How are you today?

Posted 9 months ago by Kilroy #

  17. Hey everyone, woke up way before I should have but nothing new on that front. Now to find something to eat :)

  18. Morning everyone.
AzDeb...good to see you made it home safe last night(I left a worry note on last night's thread this morning. lol. Hope that made sense. I'm in better shape this am than I thought I'd be.

GD...is anyone besides you feeding the ducks? I hope they don't have to hunt for themselves after you move. You can always pay visits to them tho. And what a sweet neighbor to help you out.

  19. Morning Feral, thanks my friend on the worry note :) Its only 11 miles from work to home but sometimes that is very long indeed.

What a beautiful lady this kitty is...

  20. Gracie is a beauty, Deb; what a wonderful thing that she was rescued.

Posted 9 months ago by Kilroy #

  21. I agree.Gracie is gorgeous! She is a spitting image of Selena (who now lives down the street). Selena is my Hannah & Lacy's momma.

  22. Hi, Everyone! Gosh, the day is completely getting away from me! How sad for all of the people with flooding on the East coast. And here we sit praying for water. Don't you wish it could be evened out a bit?

GD, good luck with house hunting!

It's too stinkin' hot here to go outside so I'm going to go and work on my quilt.

Posted 9 months ago by WillowandWindismom #

  23. Morning WWM, enjoy working on your quilt :)

    http://www.catster.com/cat-grooming/clipping-cat-claws

Wish that I could trim their claws myself, always afraid I will cut into the quick.

Posted 9 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. Me too Deb. Buddy needs his done Big Time. I'vegot plenty of puncture wounds on my legs to prove that. I'm afraid also of trimming too close. He's real good about having his paws handled tho, so I should really just 'buck up' & do it.

Posted 9 months ago by feral #

  25. Me too Feral, one of my friends said she would come do it for me and may take her up on it. Take her out to lunch afterwards to thank her.

Posted 9 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. Good Morning Everyone. GD - Be careful moving and I hope you find the perfect place very soon. How are you BB and Feral? WWM - What kind of quilt are you working on? I'm doing laundry and wondering to make for lunch. Later I'm making pasta sauce and meatballs. Yum!

  27. Hi Mittens!

Today's kitten is another beauty from right near where I grew up.

Posted 9 months ago by Kilroy #

  28. Hi Mittens. Been wanting to try & 'catch you' while you were on. Haven't seen you post in awhile. I've missed you. I hope life has been treating you well & that you & your son & furkids are happy & healthy.

Posted 9 months ago by feral #

  29. Hi Kilroy and Feral. I've missed you too, Feral. I'm always thinking about you and your furbabies. On last Thursdays Cafe, I wrote about what I've been up to over the past year. I'll tell the kid you said hi.

Posted 9 months ago by Mittens #

  30. I read your update, Mittens, and was so glad to hear how well you're doing.
