I would love a piece of angus ny strip, a baked potato, steamed asparagus, and grilled mushrooms. this is my all time favorite meal. i wuld love to eat it in the TDK lounge, amongst my friends and little kittens. thank you...
for dessert i would like fresh strawberries dipped in whipped cream !!! thank you !!!

Hi everybody :) Popping into the NS for a minute to say hi before I rescue a naughty little kitty from his second time-out of the evening *sigh* Sawyer's got a terrible case of the kitten crazies and I'll be fit for the mental ward before he grows out of them! LOL Instead of dinner, I just need a (very) large margarita on the rocks, without salt. Gracias, amigas!

Hi all, not much going on at the NS cafe tonight! Hope everyone is doing well.
I'm stressed out and frustrated. Looked at another place today - small, old, dingy and smelly. Looks like anything I can afford is like that. Been wondering if I'm better off staying where I am now. So I'm going to keep looking but pay to stay at my place another month so I don't have to rush to move out by Thursday. I will probably take my time and move in with XBF with the boys. He's looking forward to it, I'm not. I wouldn't mind if I had found a place and a set time that I'd move back out of his place, but I don't like the uncertainty of just moving in without a plan in mind. Arrrgh!
Haven't slept well this week stressing about the above, so hopefully having made up my mind to keep the place for now, I will at least be able to get some rest! That said, I'm hitting the hay - have a good night, everyone!

Don't rush yourself, GD. Sounds like you have a backup plan with XBF so that's a good thing. Have you put the word out to your friends that you are looking for another place? Co-workers at the gym? Maybe someone knows a landlord who is decent and heck, even on a referral, maybe you can catch a break in the rate! Keeping you in my thoughts (((GD)))

Evening all. I MUST NOT click on the L&S links any more. I just end up going Mmmmmmmmmmm and then there's nothing to nom on. What great deals lately.
Been a ho-hum day here. Almost managed to ruin a large batch of orange marmalade I was making but with some nifty pot changing all was saved. Now I really need a strong drink from the fountain, anything will do.
GD, god move on paying up for another month to give you time for a good look for a new place. Better the devil you know than the one you don't.

On my way out the door for *that place* once again, it is my Friday though so that is a blessing.
GD, you mentioned before about the LL not wanting to put in a window a/c because he would get his relative to turn on the main house one....could you get a window a/c yourself and put it in for a bit of comfort for the boys and you, then you could concentrate on getting LL to fix the shower.....just a thought thrown out there.

Evening Deb, I haven't heard the 'bells on my finger' expression for years. Mum used to use it but I forget in which context.
Just watching the news and waiting for Mr MS to return home from work so I can start dinner. Garlic prawns again but I'm not complaining. This time I will remember to include the water chestnuts.
I've seen the Border Wars series here, quite an eye opener.

Your dinner sounds like it will be tasty. I like the Border Wars series too, especially the ones in the Tucson Sector (where I am currently). Hi there ladies. Just stopping by for a second breakfast. I'd like a bacon sandwich (lightly grilled back bacon, what little fat hasn't been trimmed away to be crisped, but the meat still moist and tender) and a "nice cuppa tea" please.
All is well here, although the back is complaining that I took it to the osteopath yesterday.
I think I'll go and buy a new mattress today.

And new pillows.
And sleeping on my side with a pillow between my knees, to stop my back twisting as I sleep.
*sigh*
The only good thing about getting old is that it beats the alternative!

I sleep with a pillow between my knees, found it helps my back quite a bit as I am a side and back sleeper. I have issues with pillows, hard to find ones I *like* and feel comfortable with.

Sitting here watching the news on the zoo in Tripoli, the rebels turned off the water distribution system. So now the animals in the zoo are not getting fresh water, even the water for the Hippos is stagnant and they won't go into their pools its so terrible. I feel so bad for these animals who have nothing to do with any of this political/overthrow government crap...ok off my soapbox now.

I hope they get the water back on to the zoo asap, I hate it when innocent animals pay the price of mens battles.
I'm enjoying The Walking Dead, tonight's episode if the final of season one.
Ohhhhhh, I'm tired too, tried to sleep in this morning but some neighbourhood kids waiting for a bus made so much noise I gave up and then I tried for a nap this afternoon and the neighbours pups ran away and they were yelling all over for them. They found them but by then I wasn't tired anymore, just irritated.
