   It's muggy and hot this morning, with impending thunderboomers. Lighting arcs across the sky, and a few teasing raindrops fall ahead of the coming deluge...

   Kitties scurry into the Breakfast Cafe before the storm, relieved they don't have to dry themselves before getting started :-)

   They busily start setting up the steam tables and the clacking of dishes is heard as the older kittens set the tables. Babykits do what they can to help, folding napkins neatly with a little pat :-)

   Meezers start singing in the kitchen as the ham and sausage and bacon sizzle on the griddle, and the smell of fresh-baked pastries fills the air.

   KA-BOOM! The storm begins outside, but here in the BC, it's a fine summer morning, with good smells and happy cats singing. Come on in!

   Morning, Siobhan, it's freezing here. I've just got myself a cup of coffee and then I think when I've drunk it, I'm off to me warm bed. I would love some warm fresh brioches with apricot confiture for brekky please, and a big soup bowl of cafe au lait :)

   Monring JCat! Comin' right up....

   *Three kits set to making up a giant cup of cafe au lait, while an orangie nabs three small brioches still warm from the oven, and sets them, along with a little pot of apricot confiture, onto a pretty plate. Then to the Wormhole Delivery Chute (tm) and WHOOSH! off it goes!*

   Jcat luckily today isn't super busy - just one class (although that turns into a 5 hour event - 3 hr class plus 2 hrs driving)! Friday is my relaxing day. Monday through Thursday is crazy (gone 12-15 hrs each day).

   Sio the boys are fantastic! Feeny is lounging on the couch and Taco is grooming himself under the table.

   How are the both of you doing today? The kitties?

   I can hardly think of a finer breakfast than scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon all served up by kitties. Good morning all! Can't wait for the triple digit heat to pass, today should be the last day of it.

    *Kitties prepare food requests busily*

    The ladies were in a romping mood this morning, even though the temp didn't drop below 78 last night. Silly girls! Willow's neck owie has healed completely, I couldn't even feel the scab last night. Little wiggleworm was hard to hold long enough to check, but she's just fine.

    Hermes ambles slowly to the bedroom to see me almost every morning. He often misses morning treats that the kittens get, because he'd rather see mommy. :-)

    Morning everyone!....... I'll take an egg and griled cheese sami, please! ...... been getting a lot of rest with my week off, and now going into another long weekend!...... I might forget how to 'work'! LOL...... not really, but it is nice to 'recharge' my batteries!

    ..... I've had a great opportunity to do some of the things I love - read, try new receipies, and do major cleaning/overhauling of the house........ tonight I think Mr. AV and I will drive out to hear a friend's band play and listen to some good music!....... hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

    Gini, Millie is fine, she's asleep on my knee and Libs is very slowly getting a wee bit better, she actually slept in the house, in her basket in front of the heater for several hours last night. I wish she and Millie could make friends...

    Morning, all. I just finally got my dumb MRI scheduled; I'm doing it the Saturday of the weekend Mr. K is away since it's supposed to be crummy weatherwise & I probably won't be able to do the things I was planning. At least I'll get something done.

    yay! for Libby!........ silly girl, you know you WANT to be in that comfy basket by the heater....... can't let that little 'thing' on Meowmy's shoulder stop you from claiming your creature comforts! LOL

    .... Kilroy, I'm sure Georgie is receiving 'instructions' right now through the wormhole from all the 'nurse' kitties here on TDK....... he'll know just what to do to make you feel better ;)

    OMG....I think I've just lost it......Thursday that is!! I just saw the date on the cafe thread & thought it was wrong. Looked at the puter clock & GASP!! I swear I thought yesterday was Friday. Yay!! That means I've got an extra day!! Good thing I didn't have any appts.
    With that said....I need anything that will feed the memory part of the brain please. With a Big cup of Cinnamin Mocha java to snap my mind awake. I got no sleep at all last night.

    Mmm fresh baked pastries smell yummers Sio...thanks for organizing the cafe kits today! It is very humid in brewtown, felt like a wet hen when I got to work, glad we have AC! Woo hoo last day before my vaca starts so will earn my keep but first a big ol'cuppa joe and an apricot bear claw will hit the spot! Waves to anyone still hanging around, now a smooch for Tux but hopeful back in a bit...

    12p - don't encourage her!!! I don't know how she did it, but it's been raining here for weeks - not just our regular summer afternoon rain, either!

    I managed to get six hours of sleep last night - yay! Still will try for a nap later. I'm worried about Bobby - he hasn't taken to the move very well. I think he has a fever last night and this morning but he seems to have cooled down now. I know stress can raise their temp so I'm hoping that's what it is. He just ate some treats and ventured out from under the bed and now is grooming himself, do I cancelled his vet appointment - don't want to stress him out taking him to the vet if it's just stress.
    Milo, surprisingly, is doing well. Wanders all over the house and checks everything out. He may even like it here - though I'm sure he won't admit it :)

    I'm dogsitting today - Monday and feel very bad having to leave the boys. I may leave the dog alone overnight tonight just to keep an eye on The Bobster. And I'll be coming and going anyway, hanging out with the boys and checking in on them.

    Oh, NO!!!! Now I have that song stuck in my head!!!! 12P, how could you????

    We are doing a 61 mile bike ride tomorrow. The downside is it will be hot - as if that was a new thing! The upside is that we are having our traditional pre-ride lunch today of Mexican food. Ole!!
