   Good morning littermates!

   The cafe is bustling this morning, the kitties slept a little late and they're hurrying to be ready!

   Lots of good smells coming from the kitchen, and here comes the food! Kits carrying big trays of good noms work in organized pandemonium. Trays click and clack into place, dishes clatter, and kittens sing as they eagerly wait for their breakfast!

   Today I'm missing my sweet Tansey, she would have been 18 over the long weekend. I didn't think much about it until this morning, and then I felt guilty that I'd forgotten her birthday! Sweet girl, meowmy misses you every day!

   {{{Sio}}} Aw, Tansey knows forever how much you love her, that's never going to change.

   So, today's the day Mr. K leaves for Germany and this morning he gets a call telling him that one of the other 3 guys has backed out because of a death in the family. This means it's going to be him, his buddy Charley & Charley's brother; we can't help but think 3 is going to be a crowd. I told him if he's really miserable to just spend the money to change his ticket and come home, even though it would cost almost as much as the original fare.

   It's a rainy day in the Big Apple, and I was so distracted this morning I forgot to wear my purple boots :(

   Morning all! Sio, Tansey knows you didn't forget! (((SIO))) I know I almost forgot Molly's Purrday this year too had it not been for my mom to remind me. It is quite chilly here this morning, around 48. I put on sweats (yes SWEATS to those of you in the south DO EXIST! You guys just sweat!). I didn't sleep well, leg cramps, tummy ache and head ache. I slept in just like the cafe kits but would love some hot cereal on this cool morning.

   Kilroy, is Mr. K going for work or pleasure to Germany?

   Mr. K is retired so everything's pleasure for him :) This trip was originally supposed to be just 2 guy who are high school buddies, one of them is the brother of Mr. K's best friend, Charley. Charley's brother invited him to come along because they have ancestral roots in Germany & were thinking of going back to the ancestral home, as it were. Also, Charley was stationed in Germany in the Army many MANY years ago. So he agreed to go, then he invited Mr. K so there wouldn't be 3 people, which is always awkward. But now one of the original 2 guys has dropped out. Beyond the first 2 days in Munich they don't have any plans and don't know what they're doing or where they're going. I'm afraid Mr. K's going to get really frustrated really fast :( But he'll just have to make the best of it.

   I put up 18 jars of kosher dills. 12 on Sunday, 6 on Monday. I have to wait about a month before I can try 'em...

    Thanks HM :) I'm really hoping Georgie & I are going to have a nice, calm, relaxed 10 days with no biting or other craziness. I think I remember that the last time Mr. K was gone this long (also with Charley, who is obviously a troublemaker :) ), we had a good 10 days.

    I'm with MC, pickles sound good! Putting a note on my calendar to road trip to Sio's in a month :)

    Hi everyone! I heard thru a dream that there's a birthday party at the Meadow for Tansey! I hope Mr. K has a great time in Germany - would love to get there someday.
    It's chilly here in joisey too; I had an entirely different outfit picked out for today till I saw the weather temps. First of all, flip-flops and rain don't mix...

    Morning everyone on this Pseudo-Monday. I hope it is a good quiet week for everyone. Kilroy, if Mr. K gets really annoyed, he can always break out on his own and do his own thing. No need to be joined at the hip. I'm back from Memphis after spending the long weekend with my friend and her 9 kitties. I got plenty of attention from everyone and doled out lots of treats. Unfortunately they were not good at posing for pictures! I ate lots of good BBQ, listened to some awesome blues on Beale Street and watched lots of click flicks with my friend.

    Peeking in from the "Northwoods"! Have a few minutes to spend at local library & a computer was open, yay! Waves hi to all! Crockey made the 5 hr trip well w/a calming natural treats & salmon flavored paw "ointment"! He is sporting a new blue harness, leash ensemble to match his blue eyes in his big boy $2 carrier I bought from the thrift store! He is enjoying the wide open spaces compared to his usual back yard digs! The chippies, squirrels and birdies are giving him a show every day! It has been chilly at nites, 40's to 50's but 60's during the day w/sunshine! Well, I have 5 min left of 'puter time so must check a few more things so bye 'til end week, w/a smooch for Tux, later!

    It's POURING here and looks like it might rain the whole time Mr. K is gone. Looks like he, on the other hand, is going to have better than decent weather, harrumph :)
