  1. Welcome to the Sunday Brunch brought to you today but a lovely group of Calicos. They are offering some late summer noms, with the remaining veggies from the garden. The grill is getting fired up for steaks, chicken, sausage, brats, burgers. A big Tuxie is pulling out the fountains to get the champagne ready. The younger kits are putting table clothes and fresh flowers on the table. Please stop by and grab whatever your heart desires, remember there are NO calories in TDK-land.

  3. Hi MC & CSBM! I would love a cheeseburger, fries & a Coke today. Comet had fun at the night shift last night; he swaggered in sometime before sunrise. His pirate eye looks much better.

  4. Comet you are such a little Amish Sweetie! You had a great NS! Loved it!

Cheri, you food is on it's way as a young Calico balances it on a tray.

Joan, a kit jumps into the wormhole with your order! Nom, nom, nom

  5. Good morning, all. I'd love some coffee. Feeling a bit melancholy today on the 9/11 anniversary. Checked fb and saw many of the usual posts - cheering on football teams etc. I suppose it shows that life goes on and it's wonderful that 10 years later, our world is safe enough to spend a Sunday watching the games. But it makes me sad at the same time and though people say they'll never forget, this makes me wonder if they will.

Spending my Sunday morning on the patio with my boys and a cup of coffee. Stayed with Glen last night. In sympathy with Baby Comet, he also had a pirate eye, complete with pus :( I gave him his antibiotic ointment and pain relieving drops and held a warm washcloth over it too. It must have felt good, because he didn't even squirm. The eye looks better this morning, but I do worry about it and have been wondering if maybe having it removed is a better option than constant infections, antibiotics and vet visits. We're not sure he can even see out of the eye, so removal may be an option in the future. Poor Glen :(

  6. MC, that calico curtsied after she delivered my order, it was so cute! She accepted a white carnation from me, promised not to eat it, and zoomed thru the wormhole to get back to work!
Poor Glen, I'm glad he didn't fuss when you put medicine in his eye, he knows you are helping him. I learned from Leela how quickly eye health can decline, so I'm keeping an eagle eye on Comet - so far so good though.
I've been watching tv and reflecting too...

  7. OMG, I could use a couple of kielbasa sandwiches, a fruit salad with raspberry vinaigrette, and a bottle of white wine. I'm still trying to make sense of what happened to the free world ten years ago, but I couldn't make sense of it then or now. There will be a roller rink event today at 1:19 today; I just need a little time to set things up and introduce a new apprentice to the rink.

  8. Thanks Vicki - my duo will be there for sure! Leela will bring all her grooming supplies, and Comet has a bunch of CDs that he wants to share. Hubby might be on the 'puter this afternoon, so if someone wants to check on Leela and Comet as to what they're doing and post it, that would be great! Leela is going to wear her shimmery silver and grey dress and a tiny American flag pin, and Comet has blue shorts and a bright red Spanish-inspired shirt and he's going to wear his brother Shaddo's angel pin on his lapel. Under the pin are 2 small pictures of Shaddo and Jiggs; Comet thinks Jiggs was such a cool looking cat and is always asking to hear stories about him.

  9. Yes, Glen is very well behaved. And he is so used to eye ointment and drops that though he doesn't like it, he puts up with it. As for the warm wet washcloth, he seemed to actually like it.

Someone else had a rough day - poor Bobby just got a bath. How he hollered! But the boy had some dandruff on his pretty fur, so I decided to give him a good bath. He is not very pleased with me right now. Mi is hiding in case i decide to bathe him next :)

  10. Spice, Bronson, and Melinda will be coming to the roller rink. they will be garbed in various red, white, blue, and gray clothes. Spice, as usual, will be only watching. her age and bones are too old to skate. but i'm sure all 3 will have loads of fun !!!

  11. Morning or rather afternoon everyone, I am headed to bed after a busy night. Watched a lot of the specials last night, the ceremony this morning, thought positive thoughts @ 8:46 EST for those in the towers, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania and their families/friends. I will be back later, ciao for now...

  13. Hi Deb, I was wondering if anyone was around. Glad to hear you got some sleep. Marbles seems like a sweetie.

I'm feeding the cat next door while his owner is away this week, he's about as old as Marbles and not super friendly, but I'm sure we'll be fine.

  14. Afternoon/evening Deb and Kilroy!....... just relaxing here after a nice Sunday with the family ........

.... glad you got some sleep, Deb!......

.... Kilroy, I thought I saw earlier that your head is giving you a break - yay!....... hopefully Georgie is behaving himself - headbonks from Abby and Cuddles to him!

.... I have to tell you guys a funny story - poor Cuddles, so old and grumpy - she has always 'hissed' at any other cat, and usually any hooman...... well today, when I brought her out to her porch for some fresh air (she loves her porch time)...... she caught a 'vision' of herself in the glass window, and thinking it was another cat, gave out the rudest, loudest 'HISSSSSSSSS' that I've ever heard!....... LOL...... doesn't even like herself!

Posted 8 months ago by AV #

  15. Hi AV, yes, my dumb head has decided to give me a break for which I am grateful :) Georgie is being SO good I can hardly believe it; we'll see what happens when Mr. Favorite Hoomin comes home.

LOL at silly Cuddles. I think she & Willie, the cat next door, would get along great.

  16. I'm OK, kind of at odds & ends without Mr. K (shh, don't tell him I said that). One thing I've discovered from having to time to to whatever I want is that I don't even know what that is anymore. How sad is that?

Posted 8 months ago by Kilroy #

  17. OMG! Cuddles! That is soooo funny!

  19. Hey there MC :)

Kilroy, not sad at all my friend, with all the fretting and sometimes wanting to *choking* him, you love him :)

Posted 8 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  20. .....nothing much going on........ I'm watching some of the 911 shows....... flipping around, but there are some really good documentaries ....... really brought back some sad/painful/thoughtful memories.......

... I'm considering taking a long, warm bath - maybe do a facial mask...... (I need a facial makeover, but oh well - LOL) ....... Abby usually likes to sit on the rim of the tub while I'm in the jacuzzi, she thinks it's so FUN to dip her paws in the swirling water, lick.... dip.... lick.... dip.... lick..... you get the picture

Posted 8 months ago by AV #

  21. Hey AV, awwww poor Cuddles, who was that masked kitty wanting to take up *her* porch!

Posted 8 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. AV, I have been watching some of the shows too, some are good and some a touch painful with the memories. Long warm bath sounds good and a facial sounds wonderful, will have to check if I have bubble bath.

Posted 8 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  23. *waves* at MC!..... hope YOUR head is cooperating!........ nurses Betty & Wilma need to give you extra special care........

.... Deb, how sweet is Barnaby??!!???...... I'd bet if Cuddles had her way, she'd be a 'traveler' too - as in - "I'll TRAVEL to my bowl, which BETTER be full, and then I'll TRAVEL to my bed to NAP when I want to, then I MIGHT TRAVEL to the box to do my business (but not if I'm mad at you, cause I'll just use your RUG)...!!!......

  24. I am ok head-wise but go figure, my guts not so much. I haven't really kept much down since Thursday. I can't eat too much. My surgeon thinks its stomach flu and told me to take it easy. I see him Tuesday so he can follow me then. Betty and Wilma have been AMAZING nurses. Betty does the same thing, she sits there by me in the tub and plays in the water. I got her a rubber ducky to play with, but she was so excited she ended up falling in the tub. After that "ducky" disappeared!

    Posted 8 months ago by mollycat71 #

  25. MC, the stomach flu that is going around is a nasty one, took my best friend to the ER twice yesterday because of it. There were at least 20 others in there with the same thing and we have had 3-5 ppl @ work with it too. I have had a slight case of it since Wednesday :( Poor *ducky*!

AV, lol Ms. B was a traveler like Cuddles :)

  26. I want a carpet like that!!!!! :)

Posted 8 months ago by AV #

  27. There were lots of emergency vehicles out all over the city today, made me a little nervous, but I guess better careful than sorry.

I agree AV, what a lovely carpet! :)

Posted 8 months ago by Kilroy #

  28. AV, lol me too, Red lays like that or on his back with all paws up :)

Kilroy, I bet they were just a bit touchy today.
