    Of course before I decide to keep Felix, I have to see how Sylvester and Mia will react. Sylvester will need lots of assurances he is still the alpha cat and that both Mia and Sylvester don't try to beat up tiny Felix. Two males and a female cat may make life interesting. As soon as Felix is healthy and the Vet gives the green light, I will have Felix neutered. This will help keep any behavioral issues from happening hopefully.

    Okay need your help,,,Felix just pooped and his little butt is swollen and a little blood came off when I wiped his little behind because I thought he had some poop left on his butt. I am going to see what the vet says tomorrow morning but this is a new worry for me. I am wondering if I should take the dry food away as maybe it is too much for Felix's system.

    I wouldn't worry too much, SMM, he could be a little constipated and he almost certainly has worms, either of which could cause this.

    Thanks Jcat. I appreciate your advice. Felix received a dose of a dewormer and Frontline on Sunday. I am going to ask the vet tomorrow morning about the blood. Felix doesn't drink as much water as he should possibly. Maybe take the dry food away so he eats more of the wet food and then maybe his poop won't be so hard. It may be too soon to give him the dry food.

    I am never really in favour of dry food for male cats, SMM, because it nearly killed my Max, many years ago. I'm sure it's improved since then. But on the whole? I think if God meant kitties to eat hard dry baked little pellets, then those hard dry baked little pellets would be running around on legs with whiskers, squeaking.
