  1. Jane, no damn thing, wish it would quit messing with my stomach too. Seems I am fine if I don't move at all, uh huh like that will happen with this crew.

Kilroy, I did get a little bit of sleep but its been a screwy few days now, this flu crud is very annoying and painful this year.

  2. Hudson and Halls! I found a clip! I love the bit where he says, 'You dry cook the pork in a heavy pan until it looks lumpy and grey!' And it does! OMG, those were the good old days, when lumpy and grey was something to aim at, hee hee:

Now they're making ravioli out of won ton wrappers. WTF? Bless them, they were a hoot!
The best one was the episode when one of them accidentally set the kitchen on fire (it was recorded live in front of an audience)... shame that doesn't seem to be on Youtube...

  3. Mr. K should be home around 2pm, so I was thinking about asking him to go with me to feed Willie; on the other hand, I don't really want to hit him with cat drama when he's barely in the door. I may just stop there & drop off the mail and feed the monster before I let myself into our apartment next door. I have a large bag with me today, so I can try to keep that between me and Willie while I deal with his food (dumb cat, would he rather starve?).

  4. Oh, Deb, so sorry you're still suffering with that crud. It sounds very unpleasant and when it upsets your stomach as well, that's really nasty.

Well, it was a sunny day here today, the forecast hail and thunderstorms never turned up (maybe tomorrow), lol. Little Millie made for the open front door and I just had to rescue something in the kitchen so I thought, oh well, she won't get far while I'm in there. I come out and the little minx is down the steps (I hope she didn't fall down) out on the concrete and halfway down the path, making (very unsteadily but quite fast) for the open gate and the road outside at a rate of knots. Boy did I move fast then. I think she was quite cross to be thwarted... Libs was watching from a distance, interested and quite unmoved. I don't think she was planning to rescue her little sister anytime soon...

  5. Gosh, Kilroy, it does sound a bit like a lion tamer, fending off Willie with a bag of food instead of a chair...

  6. Love this picture!

Haje does that with door knobs, he tries his best to open them. He has managed to figure out how to flip the light switches on though.

  7. Anything to protect my skin, Jcat :)

Go Millie!! I love that little cat, what a little trooper.

  8. Hee hee at the boks kitty, Deb. That's why the door to our bathroom is almost never closed.

Posted 8 months ago by Kilroy #

  9. I tried to take some pix of her for GD today but all I've got are fuzzy blurs...

  10. Jane, so you might need another child's gate for the front door and to make sure the front yard gate is closed. Millie seems determined to *see* the world! I bet Libs was watching with interest, wondering now where is the little minx going? At least you had a good weather.

Kilroy, too bad about the neighbor's kitty, I have to do that kind of thing when watching my co-worker's dog.

  11. But Deb, she can get through the child's safety gate. It doesn't even slow her down, lol. The reason the front gate is always open is that there's just a hole there. Someone stole it. Someone stole my neighbour Nicola's front gate as well. (I reported mine to the police, Nicola didn't bother.) The funny thing is that the other year, someone stole one of my back gates too. The local cop actually came out to visit me with that one, and looked all up and down the road for it, bless him. One of the neighbours found it a year later while trimmng a hedge, it had been thrown up into the top of it! So I have that gate back but nary a sign of the other one... When I rang up to report the latest one gone, the cop on the end of the phone said, didn't you have another gate stolen last year....? Yep, I'm the multiple gate-theft vic!

The fenceposts and fence are more or less falling down so not much point replacing the gate without replacing the whole lot -- it's just the hedge that's keeping the fence up, lol.

She's too small to see the world, Deb, she's just a little wee dot!

  12. Jane, can you put a piece of heavy cloth across the child's gate so that she can't slip thru? That bites about the gate thefts, one would think that people could find other entertainment. Guess you are well-known for being the multiple gate theft victim!

I agree she is too small to see the world, just no one has convinced her of that yet!

  13. Aww, I love your description of Millie, Jcat. Can I come play with her? I won't let her run away, I promise.

Posted 8 months ago by Kilroy #

  14. Deb, there's nothing she likes better than climbing heavy bits of cloth... Honestly, she would just monkey up it until either she got to the top or she pulled it all down on top of her.

You sure can, Kilroy. She loves company. Once she gets used to you (takes all of five minutes), she starts showing off like mad. Plus I could get something done. As soon as I'm out of her sight for more than three minutes, she starts up this imperious miaow (okay, where the he** are you, get back here!)

  15. Jane, lol have to laugh at the visuals of her antics though. We have metal pieces here that one can put across patio doors, screen doors and such to prevent dogs/cats from scratching/tearing thru the screens....wonder if maybe someone there would make it if it wasn't available to buy? I was trying to find a picture of one, it looks like a criss-cross panel that fits across the opening and is about 2-3' high, the whole thing get screwed to the gate/door.

  16. Deb, I'm probably making it sound much more of a problem than it is. I don't really mind, it's kind of funny, I get a lot of amusement out of her, she's such a little character.

Posted 8 months ago by jcat #

  17. Lol I know you are enjoying her and her antics, I guess I fear her actually escaping and getting hurt (ok don't think that will really happen except to make your heart race)

Posted 8 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  18. I know, Deb :) But mostly I'm with her 24/7 and when I'm out, I lock her inside and she only has access to the living room and hall. I really didn't realise she could get down the steps on her own, she's always stayed on the verandah before. But I know now and a closer eye shall be kept...

Posted 8 months ago by jcat #

  19. Lol, she is growing up and wanting to see outside now :) How does she like the garden area or has she not spent much time out there because of the weather?

  20. Netflix seems to be headed for yet more problems with their customers, Starz has decided to quit with them early next year.

  21. She hasn't so far, Deb, because of the weather. I did take her out a couple of times but she didn't like the wet grass and she looked at me like I was crazy and made a run for the front door. But now it's sunny and warm out there (and she can make faces at her sister, who loves to laze around on the verandah in the sun) and I guess because she's getting older and bolder, she's definitely getting much more interested...

OMG, it's 1.30am, I'd better get us all to beddy-byes. Sleep well and sweet dreams when you get home, Deb. Everyone else have a great day! Catch you all later!

  22. "Aw mom, I wanna go OOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTT!" (said in best Millie mews)

Deb, Mr. K & I just went to the streaming-only plan on Netflix after they basically doubled their price; it also solves the "that DVD's been sitting there for a month and we haven't watched it" guilt trip problem.

Posted 8 months ago by Kilroy #

  23. Well I need to get dressed to head to the doctor's office for lab tests this morning, hope that everyone has a great day :)

Posted 8 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. G'night Jane, sleep well and stay comfy, scritches to Libs and Millie in the morning.

Kilroy, thought about getting something to stream the movies with but went with the dvd only plan (changed it from the two at a time to one). Still think they are screwing themselves with raising their prices 60% at once, thats just dumb!
