Dear Family, My sweet little baby crept quietly over the Bridge a few hours ago. She was so sweet and fought so very hard. She was a bit lethargic very early this morning and I noticed a redness around her umbilicus and had a bit of a bloody stool. I suspect that an infection set in from being on the sidewalk. I know she was only six days old but I am heartbroken. I hope Wilbur and the Wolf were there to greet her. Thank you so very much for all of your support and lovely thoughts and prayers. Every time I lose one I vow to never try again but I have to try. Again, hugs to all of you.

I'm soooo sorry, PT. You know as well as all of us that it matters not how long they are with us, those pawprints are forever on hearts and souls. You know, too, that you gave her sooo much in those six days. Six days she would not have had but for you. Love, warmth, safety, food. What more could an abandoned baby ask for? I know there are no words, no matter how much you know they are true, will help. Accept my love and hugs and prayers for you and the little one. You know Wilbur is helping Mamma Cat and the Wolf take care of her and welcome her to the Meadow.

Puddytat, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I know everyone was hoping for a different outcome. The little one knew nothing but love, kindness, warmth and security with you and her life was perfect from start to finish. I'm sorry it was so short, but she won't forget you.

{{Puddytat}} {{Little Baby Girl}}
I too am typing through tears. I followed your saga all week. Although this is not the ending I wanted to see, it only takes an instant for a bond to form. Your Little Baby Girl will be waiting for you in the Meadow.Posted 8 months ago by MaryLynnVa #

PT...My Deepest Sympathies to you. That's so heartbreaking. You did a wonderful job from the very beginning you found her. You know we all were right behind you in spirit. It's so sad to think that the little darling was never meant to be. I know you're hurting terribly. Prayers of Peace & Comfort for knowing you did everything possible to give her a good start.

PT, I was so sad when I read this this earlier today. I have to say it gave me a heavy heart knowing how much you did for this baby. I know what she meant to you but you have no idea how much you meant to HER. I know she will be the first cat to jump into your arms when you go to the Bridge to meet up with all the fur babies you have known and loved. Please know we are all praying for you here and sending you lots of love at this difficult time. Thank you for giving so much for this baby.

PT, so sorry to hear this. You gave her every good thing she had in her short life: Warmth, food, shelter, and, most importantly, love. Now she is in the Meadow where everyone will love her while she waits. And if she ever needs a warm spot to curl up, she can find my Sam and he will curl around her and purr her to sleep oh so softly.

So sorry,PT. Strangely I was just looking at photos of beautiful Wilbur from your Christmas card this morning when I was having a clean out. I'm sure Wilbur is there looking after the wee one.

I'm so sorry, PT. She had so much love and care packed into such a short life, though, and it was all because of you! Without you, she would never have had a chance.
(I'm hopeful you'll be able to get the young female trapped and altered.)
