My kitten turns 10 weeks old tomorrow. Yesterday, I found blood on her. I checked her for scratches and cuts and finally realized it came from her rear. We went to the vet and they're having me give her Panacur for Giardia. When she pooped again this evening, there was more blood. Her fecal test came back negative, but I read that this parasite doesn't always show up on there. When I called the vet, they told me to continue the medicine and bring her back in if things don’t improve tomorrow. But I'm freaking out. Will Giardia kill her??

Giardia?

No, I shouldn't think so, especially as she's receiving treatment. I've never heard of giardia killing a kitty and unless she has a suppressed immune system or is very weak for some other reason, I'm sure she'll be okay. At 10 weeks, she's not a tiny baby any more, she should be quite sturdy and strong. It can be passed on to other cats easily though.
Here is some more information:

I just don't get how she could suddenly have this. I've had her for five weeks! And she's an indoor kitty.
There was blood again when she pooped this morning, but it was a smaller amount. Her stools are still on the softer side and STINK. The doctor told me to give it 24 hours and this poop fell just shy of that. I am trying to wait until her next poop until I lose it.
Otherwise, she is eating, drinking, and playing. She seems to be sleeping more. Not sure if that's cause of the sickness or the medicine.

I hope she feels better soon. I'm guessing (if it's like other parasites) that it could have been with her from birth and needed to multiply in her system before it caused symptoms. Interestingly, from what I've read, even some parasites that show up easily in stool samples won't show up during certain phases of their life cycle.

A neighbor of mine that rescues still, has had lots of problems with it since her kits come from numerous areas of the cuty. Anytime I'm over there I end up having to come home & shower to prevent any possible spreading of it. I've been pretty thorough,or lucky because none of mine have ever had it. It can take awhile for the meds to kick in. So, be patient & try not to lose it too soon. Good Luck with the little sweetheart.

Does Panacur make poop stink? I have never smelled anything like this.
