  1. Oh, Kilroy, that sucks!

Good luck at the dentist's, LK! The guy from work who took out my wisdom tooth has been bugging me to go have the others taken out. He claims he had so much fun pulling the first one that he wants to do it again!!!

Yaaaay for Millie and Libs!!! Better stock up on treats, Jcat!

  2. Thanks, GD. It does suck, plus he was poking and prodding around the hardware in my head (yes, it's right where it was 4 years ago, right where it's been for the last 27 years, thanks) and now my head hurts :(

  3. Kilroy, I really do think it is time to research and find another doctor. Your current one may be highly rated, but it sounds like he just doesn't give a hoot about you or your pain and probably isn't concerning himself with seeing if any advancements have been made that would help you. He should at least be pro-active enough to try and get you in when you feel at your worst rather than make you wait weeks and have stabilized somewhat. Sending you white light.

  4. Paw up waves hi to Kykat...have any saucer sized farm fresh tomatoes left to share?! I'll be on the patio w/Tux just in case for it is lunch time in brewtown about now! C'mon kit...to the lounge chair! (BTW only 2 more weeks of Tues pm Famer's Mkt...heading there tonite!)
Ouchie Kilroy...sending little orangie w/Fall boquet of mums, asters, susie flowers & cat tails thru wormhole to make it all better!

  5. Thanks KYK, but as far as not seeing me when my head was bad, he was on vacation and I can kind of forgive a guy who makes a living cutting people's heads open for needing to take a break :) My timing just stunk.

The thing is, everything he says about what's going on in my head and why he can't fix it makes sense, it's just not the answer I want. I wouldn't want him to try to do something surgically if it wasn't going to help & might actually do a lot of damage (which it probably would). It sucks, but that's the way it is.

Thsnks for the bouquet and the cute orangie, JK :)

  6. Oh Kilroy, so sorry your visit wasn't productive and actually kind of counter-productive. Here's hoping the pain he causes will soon disappear. I still think you should come to UM and then we can visit while you are here! I've had great care when I've needed it at University.

I've been out of sorts the last few weeks. Going to try and get some work done in my house tonight, at least for a little while. Be back later.

  7. At least the headache from the poking & prodding went away pretty quickly.

I think he really just can't do anything; not everything can be fixed, unfortunately.

  8. {{{Kilroy}}} May you be able to relax a bit this evening my friend.

Good news on my co-worker who had his wisdom teeth pulled this morning, all four were extracted within 20 mins of sitting in the chair....fastest I have ever heard of :)

  9. Yikes, Deb. It's probably good for him, but wow.

  10. Kilroy, thats what I said, but really glad it was easy for him.

Good feeling story about caring people and their kitty...

  11. What a nice story, Deb. I had to look hard to spot Tom on top of the world up there :)

  12. Kilroy, me too took a moment to realize that he was at the top.

  13. Hello again, all! I've got an hour and a half to go before I can get out of here - it's a bit slower than usual on a Tuesday night, so fingers crossed I get to sneak out a bit earlier than that.

Looks like I may be going to look at apartments tomorrow with GG - fingers crossed on that, too!

  14. Keeping fingers crossed for you, GD, that you find a GREAT place!

That cat story was wonderful. I know I got Jetta a step stool the last two years she was with me to make it easier to get up onto and off of the bed.

  15. Hi all! Hope you find a fab place GD! Finally a breather...work, broken car...ugh. Say, anyone watch Torchwood? I saw my first episodes...very interesting. I like Doctor Who better, but it's nice to see something new!

We got Spot stairs, but it's not to climb up, it's for going down...she jumps down from high places and we wanted her to stop possibly hurting joints by landing on the hardwood floors.

  16. Hi Linda!!! Sorry about the car :(
I entered a contest on Facebook that Entirely Pets put on and I won!!! ( I never win anything!) Anyway, my prize was a kitty supplement for joint health. My boys are still a bit young to need joint health support - I'd love to send it to you for Spot! What do you think? It's a glucosamine/chondroitin thing.

I spoke to GG who spoke to his friend. The friend is going to text GG the codes to the lock boxes in the couple of apartments I want to see. This way, just GG and I can go, which will be nice. I'm going to look at two places. One is less than two miles from work and has a private little fenced-in area that should work for the boys. The other one is literally down the street from GG - less than half a mile. This is a bit nicer of a neighborhood than the other and I'm not sure what the price is on the unit. It has a big screened-in patio for the boys. And since it's so close to GG's I'm going to make him cat-sit a lot :) The place is about 3 1/2 miles from work.
Though I prefer the area of town where I live now, it is more expensive and further (10 miles) from work. My car is doing alright now, but should it have trouble again, it'd be nice to be closer to work. Also, since I work two shifts a day, I can save a lot by moving closer to work and driving less, which will help me afford an apartment in the first place.

  17. GD, fingers crossed on the apartment hunting. I hope one of those 2 work out for you - they do sound ideal in terms of kitty facilities and being close to your job.

  18. Paws crossed for your new digs.

    Posted 8 months ago by 12PAWZinFL #

  19. Thanks, ladies! Kitty facilities are number two on the list, right after a safe neighborhood.

  20. I like your priorities, GD :)
