  1. Okeydoke, everyone, the Antipodeans are getting the early morning cafe started, well, early. The orangies and the marmalades and the torties and the calicoes are coming one by one from the French bakery next door with baskets full of freshly baked goodies and the coffee and tea are both steaming. I am having cafe au lait and Danish pastries, what can I get you?

Libs and Millie are once again settled in the living room as they have been all evening, just like last night. Libs asks to go out the window, sits on the sill a while in the cool night air, then sneaks back in when she thinks we're not looking and settles down on Jasper's old chair by the window. Millie has her dinner then falls asleep on top of her mama. This morning I got up and walked into the dining room to find a rather cold, stiff, luckily-still-in-one-piece dead mouse on the rug. I think Libs is getting some of her bounce back, lol.

  2. Evening Jane, quiet cheers from the sidelines on both Libs and Millie being in the same room :) Awww Libs brought in a pressie for you.

  3. She did, Deb, she did...

  4. I am so glad that they are coming to terms with each other, that is so encouraging.

  5. Ignoring each other would be nearer the truth, Deb, but I am very happy with that, considering for a while there I thought Libs had left home for good....

  6. Woohoo Jcat, Libs is bringing you gifts, that's a good sign, you're in favour again! !
May I have a cafe au lait and a Danish pastry too please.

  7. Ignoring can work too, its kind of a gentle giving in to a situation :)

I am so tired and ready to go home, if I hadn't already completed my time sheet for this pay period I would ask to leave early......oh well its only 2.5 hrs left.

  8. *Marmalade barista expertly makes MS's cafe au lait while a tiny tortie girl shyly puts a still-warm Danish pastry on a pretty floral plate for MS and brings it over.*

There is something about having two contented kitties asleep in the house in the evening that makes me feel happy, MS. I like the family under one roof, lol.

  9. Ignoring is how many siblings get on (or not) with each other.
HRH has just come belting down the stairs and taken up residence in her/Mr MS's chair. I'll be kind tonight and put her blanket over the chair to make a tent for her.

  10. Awwww HRH gets a tent :)

Jane, I know its nice when they are content and snuggy in the house :)

  11. Ohhhhhhhhh thank you marmalade & tortie for the cafe au lait and pastry, ohhhhhh delicious and so warming.
HRH is now tented and appears to be contented.

  12. Hope those last couple of hours go quickly, Deb. This is rather nice:

Not sure I wouldn't trust it not to fall down though, seeing as the bloke who built it has no experience in carpentry. But he's made a lovely looking job of it...

Awwww, Shadz has her own hobbit house with the tent! Little Mills likes to crawl in between the buttons at the end of the duvet cover and hide in it...

  13. Morning, ladies!!!

  14. Morning, GD, are you going to look at those apartments today? We all have our fingers and toes crossed for you and the boys :)

  15. Good morning/evening everyone! Looks foggy, but it's just condensation on my window here at work (lol)

Oh my. The detailed embroidery project I mentioned yesterday...I can't do it with the paper on top of the fabric. I can't see what I'm doing, trying to embroider a tiny dark green leaf on a black background through a sheet of paper just isn't my forte. I have acrylic nails right now, fairly long. I cut the thumbnails and nails on both forefingers right to the tip of the finger so I could really manipulate the needle from top and bottom. What I do for my art (wry smile)

I'm going to have to see if I can trace the pattern on the fabric and hope it retains design integrity. Or...I'm going to have to back out and say it's beyond my capability.

  16. OMG, Siobhan, I do think you're brave. I can't even sew.

  17. I'm supposed to go today, Jcat. GG isn't one for planning anything, so hopefully we'll get out there this morning. I just picked up a dog-sitting job over the weekend I thought I'd move. The lady is going to book the plane tickets today and let me know the exact dates. So moving time may be more like mid-October. But we'll see.

  18. Aw Millie, how cute. Jcat she'd be stumped if you got a duvet cover with a zip!
Wow, great Hobbit house but I'd be afraid of the room beams coming crashing down too.

    Posted 8 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  19. Well, I hope you really really like at least one of them, GD.

That would be my worry too, MS, they do look a bit -- curly wurly.

Ooh, MS, hee hee, what an evil suggestion. Poor little poppet, she would be most confused. She loves it when I don't know where she is and I call and call and suddenly a little head pops out of hiding and there's a loud miaow.

  20. Hi GD and Siobhan.
LOL Jcat, so Millie has a wicked sense of humour.
I can't stand the cold here any more so I'm heading off to bed to read the latest Janet Evanovich book. Nighty night all. GD and Siobhan have a great Wednesday, it was a good one here. Sweet dreams Jcat and Deb and headbonks for the furbutts.

    Posted 8 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  21. She's like Shadz, MS, she's a tortie!

I'm freezing too and I got up early today (to find the dead mouse) so I think I will head off as well. Nighty-night, MS, sleep well and sweet dreams. Deb, hope you sleep soundly and have delicious dreams too when you get home. GD, I hope you find a great flat and Siobhan, hope you figure out a way to make the embroidery pattern work.

Have a lovely day, everyone, and scritches to all the furrbutts everywhere :)

  22. Nighty night Jcat, keep warm and cosy tonight.
    See you all tomorrow.

  23. G'night Jan, sleep well and stay warm, sweet dreams and scritches to HRH in the morning.

    Morning GD and Siobhan :)

Jane, Millie is a funny one, she likes to surprise you from the sounds of it.

  24. She's a real character, Deb, life is not dull with her around...

Posted 8 months ago by jcat #

  25. Goodnight, ladies!
Please sleep with your fingers crossed for my apartment hunt!

Posted 8 months ago by GD #

  26. Will do, GD, and toes crossed too. And I will ask Mills and Libbie to cross their little velvet paws. Now I really am off. Nighty-night.
