  1. Good Morning, looks like there was no NS last night so I am gonna open the cafe before I head off to work.

The kits overslept so Donuts and Pasteries are arriving by Dunkin Donuts. Coffee/Tea and Cocoa are brewing. There is also fresh fruit and yogurt. Please come on by and say hello!

Hope you have a good day. I will catch you later.

  2. Morning, MC, have a great day, don't forget to come home to Wilma and Betty if they don't need you at work and you don't feel 100%, they will be so happy to see you!

  5. Morning all!....... can I just say, "GO TAMPA BAY RAYS"!....... we had a company function last night at the game, and watched them beat the Yankees, and are now tied with Boston for the 'wild card' spot in the major Baseball league!....... so much fun!......... only problem now - I'm beat!....... I hope this day isn't a 'nut house' for me, I just too tired to handle much! LOL

  8. Deb, I have found that Gorilla Glue works great when the 'nut jobs' decide to riot!.......

.... time for me to head out to my own 'nut house'....... oh boy, today, I get to attend a seminar with 100 or so of them! *checks* purse for glue.......

...... have a great day everyone!.... see you on the flip side!

  10. *yawn* Good morning! Trying to get myself awake this morning. My granddaughter and daughter-in-law are here and helping me get my apartment cleaned up for winter and just doing a general over-all of my craft/library room and the sun porch. I just had such a mess that I knew it wouldn't get done before winter, so they volunteered to come and help for a week. (And no they don't hire out...just have to stick with Hazel who doesn't show up most of the time. LOL)

  12. Good Morning and Good Evening! Lots of luck today MC. Yay for the Tampa Bay Rays! I don't follow baseball so I'll root for who my friends are rooting for :)
Have fun cleaning up with granddaughter and daughter in law LK.
Hi Deb! I'm off to try again at that place, sigh.

  16. I need more java...keep me going on a gloomy day 2! Coming in w/my film review from last nite! Saw Italian made 2010 release as The First Beautiful Thing, circa 1970's until present view of a family relationship with "quirky" mom! I enjoyed it, friend who chose it wasn't as content with the choice!

  17. Paws up JK and Siobhan :)

JK, I had fun looking thru the old uniforms, missed watching Pan Am on Sunday night though. Have to look up the movie you mentioned, I like quirky moms :)

  18. Hi, Everyone!

Yay! My ortho surgeon gave me permission yesterday to put Mr. WWM's recumbent bike on the trainer and ride. So this morning I was finally, finally able to (sort of) ride again. I rode for 45 minutes, which is really not much, until my ankle began to hurt and then thought that maybe I had best stop.

    It is a start!

  20. Well that was a pretty useless day for me. I was there barely two hours. I stretched it to get the two hours. I went to the store and bought some supplies to make a spicy vegetable soup in the crock pot that I found in a magazine I have. It is DELICIOUS! I already made one pot and froze it but wanted to make another!

Frankie and his mom are now in Tucson. It has been highly traumatic on Frankie and my sister cried the entire drive from Phoenix to Tucson. By the time they got to Tucson, poor Frankie could hardly breathe, he was hyperventilating. She thought the poor little guy was going to have a heart attack. He is NOT adjusting to his new home, he wails non stop, and he is having fits of hyperventilating. He is also trying to run out the door (NEVER interested before) when she leaves and comes back. She is looking at finding a vet to look at him to make sure he is ok and to help him with his adjustment.

I do hope that the person(s) who did this get treated in kind as they did to the kitten. Bless the boy who saved her.

    Another feel good story...

  22. Mmm yum soup Mcat but awww, poor Frankie! I bought Crockey some calming paw creme as salmon flavored to help him adjust to traveling...it did calm him down and has no side effects/don't know about long term use tho. Got it at Pet Supplies Plus store. Good luck scrithches to special kit! BTW...thanks Deb for the feel good story and happy tale ending for Diesel!

  23. MC, tell her that Pima Pet Clinic on Speedway (east of Swan) is a great place, all women vets and they love kitties. My fav vet is Dr. Chris Knight and she loves orangies :) Plus they are a 24/7 hospital. She can also try using a calming collar for him if nothing else for the adjustment period, Pet Smart carries them for about $15....it has the pheremones (can't spell this morning, not enough sleep) on it.

  24. Can't imagine a kitty staying in a shelter for 8 years, glad that she finally found a loving home.

  25. Eight years in a shelter - bless her little heart! Think of all of the love that she has been waiting to give.

  26. So - does being a lurker and infrequent poster, both here and facebook, make me a stalker or an eavesdropper? ;)
