  1. Hi all! I am soooooooooooo exhausted. Today I finally hit the wall. My first two days back to work were ok but last night I was in a LOT of pain but didn't take pain meds so I could function at work. I was in a lot of pain today and I wasn't my usual cheery self. I ended getting a doozy of a headache to top it off. SO I came home, took a bubble bath and had on my pj's by 3pm. I am just relaxing with my two favorite girls. The girls thought we needed CHEESE in our lives, and who doesn't? There is cheese everywhere on the NS, every flavor (fresh from Wisconsin), type and as much as you can eat. You can request on anything or make up your own idea. Come on by and say hello! I missed everyone today.

  2. Evening MC, sorry you're in so much pain still. It's a beautiful sunny Spring day here in my part of NZ and the entire NZ Navy (apart from 1 ship) is in port for the Navy's 70th anniversary. OK - we only have 12 ships in total and the biggest 2 are only frigates but that's all we need!
I've just had some avocado on toast but I'll take a side order of some haloumi cheese drizzled with honey.

  3. Evening MC, sorry you're still having lots of pain but I am glad you listened to your body and came home to rest and relax.
KK, have fun ogling all the sailors and don't tell me you hadn't thought of that.
Cheese, mmmmmm. I''l have some Emmental and also some really sharp cheddar to go with the lovely Granny Smith apple I have.

  4. Oh KK, I am SO jealous of you! How lovely to have those sailors close by!

I think I want some warm apple pie with cheddar cheese on it. I can't believe I just had my first piece of pie with cheese on it last year, it was delicious!

  5. I've read about apple pie with cheese but never tried it. Was the cheese grated and cooked on it?
MS, 'ogle the sailors' - why, no I hadn't thought of doing that. Never even entered my mind to do such a thing! Gotta go now - need a walk along the waterfront. ;-)

  6. No, they literally had the pie warm from the over and put chunks of fresh sharp cheddar on top of the pie. It got soft and melted. It was a really good combination that I can't believe I had never had!

  7. Old English proverb: an apple pie without some cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze, lol...

Seemed appropriate for KK and her sailors...

  8. Oh JCAT, I MUST remember that proverb!

  9. Hee hee :-)

  10. How are things in your corner of NZ tonight JCAT?

    Posted 8 months ago by mollycat71 #

  11. I'm fine, thanks, MC. I'm really sorry to hear that evil, nasty pain is still kicking your butt. I am just about to get changed and start hunting for Libs -- she has an appointment with the vet in under an hour to finally get her microchip, then both girls will be chipped and I will feel much safer. Millie is LOVING the sunshine, she loves to roll and squirm and just sit in it!

Sorry to post and run but I better start getting ready. I bet KK is out ogling those sailors already...

  12. Have a good time at the V-e-t! Let us know how it goes!

  13. Jcat sending you good thoughts!
MC - Gallo has had his daddy make some QUESO and chips for your enjoyment! Gallo is longing for his Cheese Nips days..... dang v-e-t!

  14. Evening everyone!..... oh, I love cheese, on just about everything!........ Mr. AV absolutely loves it on apple pie, and drizzels honey on top!.....

.... sorry for the head issues, MC!......

.... and I should have know Hazel turned 50...... she's been out celebrating this entire year!.... now wonder she never shows for any of us! LOL

  15. Ohhhhh, I forgot to spell it out -- very-extremely-terrible-situation -- I am lucky I managed to catch Libs at all. But I did and now she is safely microchipped (yay), just like her sister. Otherwise, she is healthy and fine, the vet says. Thanks for all the good thoughts! Of course she does totally hate me and has run away to hide under the house, lol. Mmmmmmm, Q-U-E-S-O, me lo quiero mucho!

Posted 8 months ago by jcat #

  16. Jcat, do you mean 'Yo la quiero mucho',

    Posted 8 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  17. Evening everyone, I have never had apple pie with cheese on it either....will have to try that.

Yay for Libs being safely microchipped :)

Ogling sailors should be considered a good thing especially on a nice day with almost all the ships in port :) Plus you toss in the walking for good health!

  18. I do, MS, I do, I mean yo lo quiero mucho (cheese) and yo la quiero mucho (Libby) and me lo gustaria mucho (I would like some very much); I got all mixed up! Saw the sailors on the news, Deb, they did all look very nice in their uniforms, especially the officers. Libby is still avoiding us :(

Posted 8 months ago by jcat #

  19. Awww c'mon Libs it was for your own good sweetie, the micro-chip is a safety thing. Hope she comes around and comes in tonight to sleep. Uniforms do look well on most :) Sitting here with all four of the kits sleeping, curled up in different places :) You should read the story of the elderly Chihuahua from earlier thread, nice happy ending with the little guy.

  20. Jcat, try the treats if there are any left, I'm sure Libs will come around to a bit of bribery.
Believe it or not - KK didn't ogle the sailors, she went home for a bicycle ride.
    Relaxing after dinner and lurking.

    Posted 8 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  21. I gave her some in the vets, MS, for being such a good girl. She was so offended, she just ignored them. Haven't seen her since :( Deb, I will read that story.

  22. Hi Jcat, just popping in to say Nighty night. I need sleep.
Sweet dreams for you and chin scritches for Millie and also for Libs when she decides she has punished you enough and comes back inside.
Ms Grumpy HRH is curled up in the chair beside me, she resisted all attempts by Airy to kidnap her and take her upstairs to bed tonight.

    Posted 8 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. Hey there Jan and Jane, up again, Haje decided I needed to wash the bedding this morning, sigh. Don't know what has upset his stomach but oh well.

G'night Jan, sleep well and hope that HRH does not decide to hog up your side of the bed tonight.

Jane, hope that Ms. Offended comes in tonight, much nicer inside even when pouting.

  24. Hi, Deb, oh, bugg**, that's the last thing you need, Haje deciding to throw up, yuck. I bet your stomach is feeling upset now too.

Nighty-night, MS, sleep well and sweet dreams. Looks like I'll be sticking around for a while, the poor student in Iraq with the sick kitten has posted that he needs help. I don't imagine there's much I can do. Poor little thing.

Yes, if Miss Nose-in-the-Air would come in for her supper, it would be nice... Talking of which I had better go see if she is there and make a cuppa tea in case I have a bit of a wait.

Posted 8 months ago by jcat #

  25. I saw that req for help but didn't think I could help much either. Feel for both him and the kitten.

Love the Ms. Nose-in-the-Air name, it has a certain flair doesn't it, lol.

Wish it was this easy to catch Z's... http://www.gocomics.com/arloandjanis/2011/09/29/

  26. Saw this on FB... The Royal NZ Navy has arrived in Welllington Harbour with 11 ships and 100s of seamen to root for the All Blacks. It's gonna be positively fizzing, only AB game in the Capital....gonna be festive!

  27. Hello, all!
