  1. Sigh, there being no Night Shift let me at least open the Cafe this morning. We are being catered by Cracker Barrel this morning with the Siberians serving and the Kittens will be assisting :)

  2. Morning, Deb, can I please have a couple of apricot Danish and a BIG cup of coffee? How's your head tonight?

  3. Evening Jane, passes along a couple of apricot Danish and HUGE cup of coffee to help with the evening. At least my head is a bit better tonight. How are you today?

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  4. Thank you, Deb, they look yummy! I'm so glad your head is being a little less evil tonight. I'm great, thank you. I have started the great tidy-up and clear-out of clutter (not got very far yet, though) and did some work too. Just watched the movie The Young Victoria on telly and enjoyed that.

Millie was so funny today. She has been enjoying playing in the carrier case again (I got it out for Lib to take her to the vet for the micro-chipping). Well today she hid in it and then suddenly charged Libs as Libs came down the corridor. Libs picked up her little legs and ran for it. Millie immediately ran straight back into the carrier and you could almost swear you heard her laughing, little wicked vixen that she is. She just wanted to play and I think Libs knew that too because later on she came and sat and made faces at Millie, for a change, in the living room.

They're still not exactly getting on, and Libs still hisses and whaps if Mills comes too close but I think Libs is beginning to realise she's just a little kitten,

  5. Lol, that is too funny and I think you are right in Millie being a little playful vixen! It sounds like Libs is starting to catch onto treating little Mills as the kitten she is.

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  6. Well, I'm quite sure Libs didn't need to run and I'm sure she was running for fun. She always loves being chased by me out in the garden, it's her favourite game.

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  7. And she has a willing partner in the chase game with Millie, ok maybe not the fastest or straighest but she is willing!

  8. Oh, I just read the story about Howie, so glad he's happy now and obviously loves snuggling with his brother but how could anyone treat him like that?

Love the proud mum and little calico kitten in 'No you may not...' Awwwwww.

Well, Millie actually is quite fast, she accelerates like a Maserati, I think because she has to completely defy gravity to launch her whole body into the air without the help of her hind legs (which don't work properly). So she just comes hurtling through the air like she's been shot out of a cannon, lol. But then when she hits the ground, she really hits the ground. But if you've got a door open and she wants to get through, she's sailed through it before you've even noticed (and as long as she hasn't thudded straight into it which also sometimes happens and scares me to death).

Really, she needs an entirely padded adventure playground. If I were rich, I would give her one...

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  9. Yes you would give her one and I would too :) Forward motion is better when moving fast, at least in her mind and its working for her. I can only imagine how scary it is for you to see her hit something even the floor.

  10. I am tired tonight, probably more so from the headache and there are only five of us working. One is sleeping, one isn't doing anything but cleaning her ears or something, and the other three of us are working...makes one want to scream except it would hurt my head again :(

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  11. Oh, Deb, that's not fair, especially when you're short-staffed. I hope you are giving the non-working ones filthy looks.

Libs just came in the office window, I'm so happy she's doing that again, even when Mills is on my knee. Mills is no longer on my knee, she's draped over my shoulder like she has no bones at all, lol.

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  12. Jane, can't give them dirty looks, then they can complain that I am picking on them and the management coddles them because we need *breathing bodies* whether or not they can find their a** cheeks with both hands super-glued to them! Yay for Libs coming in the office window :)

  13. Morning all!...... awwwww, Jcat, sounds like progress is in the making with Mills and Libbs!...... yay!

..... Deb, I know exactly how you feel - 'that place' just wears me down sometimes!

..... this morning is the prettiest yet!...... temps are actually cool - just above 60, and no rain predicted!........ I think I'm going to get dressed and go walk along the Bayshore - I've been threatening myself to get back into my walking routine, and today I actually feel like it!

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  14. OMG, unbelievable, surely there are loads of people without jobs who would be only too pleased to take their places and actually do some work...

AV, sounds like a lovely day. I need to get back into the walking too...

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  15. Morning AV :) Sounds like a lovely morning to start your day out.

Jane, oh don't I know it, they keep telling *us* that we have to be nice to them even when they aren't doing anything....frustrating...

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  16. Deb, I'm with you - WHY? do we have to 'coddle' the idiots???? Makes me insane when people 'make excuses' for those that don't step up to the task!......

...... Abby is making me laugh this morning, she has 'decided' that her new favorite morning napping spot is directly on top of Mr. AV's pillows - he usually sets them in a chair by the window when he goes to bed (he only sleeps on one small one), and it just so happens that when the sun comes up, the light streams right in on top of them......... therefore, Abby gets her 'sun spot' in supreme comfort!

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  17. Abby sounds like a very sensible kitty, lol.

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  18. of course, 'it's all about her'............. (isn't it always 'all about them'?) LOL

.... ok, going for my walk, have a great morning/evening - scritches to Libbs, Millie and 'the Crew'......... will be back on later

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  19. PS, good luck with you upcoming Doll house event, Jcat!...... I'm sure you'll get everything done just purrrrfectly! :)

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  20. Have a great day, AV, enjoy your lovely walk!

AV, if I can just get the house in order, I will be satisfied... it's not till next Saturday though (I'm gonna need that long, lol).

  21. Hi folks! Count me among you who get worn out by "that place" stuff, sigh. I have to try not to think about it for today - too much stress lately. Hope the w*** day flies by for you Deb; it often does when you're the one doing the w***.
I's chilly today! Went from super-hot first half of summer to way too rainy, now chilly and raw. Had some nasty storms overnight.
Comet has taken a break from chasing and tackling Leela and is shouting. It's a 2 sylable meow that sounds a lot like "ma-ma" - too cute!

Posted 7 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  22. Morning Joan :) I only have 1 hr and 45 mins left yay for being here today...sounds like Comet and Millie would have a blast chasing and jumping about with the added shouting of course.

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  23. Awww, Comet is calling his meowmy!

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  24. It looks pretty ginormous, Deb. All those scientists wintering over on the Ice will be glad to be in touch with the outside world again! They will finally get some post -- and some fresh food!

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  25. Yes ginormous fits it, when they fly overhead here its impressive. Good that the scientists will get fresh food and all the things they have been missing during the winter.

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. Well, I need to go to bed. Libs has already gone, and Millie is being restless kitty, lol. Sweet dreams and sleep well when you get home, Debs, only a little while left at *that place*, scritches to the crew.

Everyone else, have a cruisy Sunday. We're back to Monday already...:(

Posted 7 months ago by jcat #

  27. G'night Jane, sleep well and stay comfy, sweet dreams and scritches to Libs and Millie in the morning :)

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  28. Nighty-night Jane. Yes, I bet Millie and Comet would have fun together!
Glad you are almost done there Deb. :)
