Good Morning Littermates! Welcome to another Toosday! Its going to be 75 and Sunny here in Illinois. A lovely fall day. The kits are running around getting the waffle maker out for "make your own waffles" and the omelet maker for "make your own waffles". (Can you tell that the kits don't want to do the work today but want YOU to make your brekkie! The coffee is flowing and to go boxes are available. Stop by and help yourself to a wonderful brekkie. I will have a cheesey omelet and hot chocolate to go. I am off to work and then to see the surgeon this afternoon. Will let you know how the visit goes. Have a wonderful day/night! Well, it's midnight here just about, so I am off to bed, if little bundle of energy Millie will let me. Her new favourite activity is hiding in her carrying case in the hall, leaping out to ambush anyone who passes by (including poor Libs), then running back into her case -- I think she thinks she's a lion and it's really her lair, bless her. Poor MS is sick, please send her good vibes to feel better tomorrow. Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning littermates! Hope the visit with the surgeon goes well, MC.
Hubs and I have created a little white monster. Luna just looooooooves to play fetch and she wants to play All The Time. She vocalizes while her sparkly ball is in her mouth, vocalizes when she drops it, and often ends up doing a purring, rubbing head roll on my foot.
Now how, I ask you, how can ANY kitty lover not give in to such cuteness?

Cheese! I love cheese. Got some artisan/locally produced cheese at the farmer's market this last weekend. First stuff we tried was cows' milk Italian herb. Not salty at all. Very mild flavor. Hubs didn't care for it much, but he likes strong, aged cheese.
I also have a bit of goat cheese with green olives. That should be saltier :-) and good with crackers and a beer.

I wonder if she knows this week is the anniversary of when she got really sick and spent 5 days in the hospital. Picked her up a few times before I left and she wanted to stay there. Usually she whines when I pick her up or squirms after a minute or two.
Comet, on the other hand/paw, was like "yeah, ok, uh-huh, see you later, I'm doing this". He did stop to slobber his scent on my hand though.

Wow, MC, can you ask the Big Guy to send that 70-something weather eastward to Cleveland? The pumpkins on my pumpkin vines are the size of tomatoes, and I'm eager to have them grow to harvestable size by the end of the month. Oh, BTW, there's been a kitten that hangs out with Pepper. His name is Piglet, and he's a black and white tux-pattern boy with a voracious appetite (hence, the name). Whereas Pepper seems a bit skittish (perhaps due to her size? She's still a bit small for her age), Piglet is really affectionate and willing to let me play with him. I may wind up doing a Catster page for him, since he seems to want to be my kitten. As for a meal, if I could have some chicken and waffles with a tall glass of iced green tea, that would be cool.

Hermes and Luna were playing last night. Hermes has crooked teeth, so he can't 'bite' in play very well, so he tries to lick everything instead when he's playing with the girls. He has an open mouth as if to nip at them, but it always turns into a lick/kiss.
So Herm's trying to lick Luna, and she's havin' none o'that stuff. She swats back, open paw, and then rolls over to tease him. He comes at her, tries to lick her face, and SLAP, she smacks him again. He keeps on trying, and for each try, she's there with claws on a paw.
He finally sits back for a second, and then lunges forward, trying to pin her with his upper body. Her head's upside down under his chest, trying to bite, and her paws are waving...this is all quiet, not a peep, not a squeak, a squall or a yip.
This is the first time I've seen Hermes deliberately use his bulk to subdue an opponent. These ladies are still small, but they're wiggly and quick. :-)
