Quick update on the Mr. K situation - dermatologist is out of the office today, argh! Plus he lost his glasses on our trip (left them on the plane) and his ophthamologist has retired and nobody knows where his prescription is, double argh! I know it will all get solved, but argh.

Bozman and my Dad are both doing great! My Dad starts chemo and radiation this week--the doctors are all calling him 'Mr. Amazing' if that tells you anything. The surgeon said he was shocked that 'the right side of your face wasn't hanging down to his chest.' So, my Dad is very lucky that he only has a little paralysis by his mouth (my Mom is investing in heavy-duty, extra large Spray and Wash!) that bugs him because he has difficulty drinking. He gets his BAHA (a fancy, smanchy implanted hearing aid) in about 6 weeks. The best thing is that this has made us all closer--I didn't think that was even possible!
Boo Hiss on the lost prescription, Kilroy. . . I hate life's little annoyances!!!

Just read that the tuxedo was invented today on Dee's history thread...sooo, how fitting is that for Tux the cafe kit's birthday as being October 10th! Happy birthday Tux, with salmon cakes, nip muffins & treats galore! Now a smooch for the birthday kit as I grab and iced java & go back to that place!

Thanks for the continued prayers, guys. He's not too thrilled w/the chemo part, but is doing it for preventative reasons. His type of cancer is a nasty little bugger, so he's doing everything he can in hope it doesn't come back.
I skipped Staff Development today so I could get things done around here---on my 3rd load of laundry and I haven't even started cleaning yet. The Rangers postponed their game to today (because of the rare occurrence of rain!) so I'll get to see all of it. Life is grand, ain't it? :)
*stayed home to clean and do laundry. . .isn't that an oxymoron?*

Hi all, phew I am pooped. Didn't really do a lot today but it seemed to drain me of all my energy. I think its the 4 day headache actually. My new "replacement" for the management part of my old job didn't show today! Oh my! Who doesn't show their first day and not call??? I think she may not be the best choice to replace ME! LOL So now I am home with two snuggly purr babies and unwinding. How is everyone?

Hi all!
I had a pretty boring, but relaxing weekend dog-sitting. The one dog was a 1 year-old golden retriever who was pretty hyper, so I didn't want to leave him alone for very long at a time. So I mostly hung out and watched TV and took it easy.
Of course the relaxing kind of got messed up by EBL calling me at 9:15am yesterday to tell me BB's trainer girlfriend had sent her an email the night before telling her how I had left the place a giant mess the day before. According to EBL, she put GF in her place and told her it's not her place to be bossing around the employees, but I was still worried about coming into work today. Didn't talk to EBL this morning, but when I got in this afternoon, she apologized and said it turned out it was BB's delinquent son who made the mess here after hours with his friends, and not me leaving a mess. Phew! But still annoying that I had to spend Sunday worrying about it.I'm not doing well with my apartment search and it's getting down to the wire. It's bad enough that I've considered renting a room by the week somewhere till I can move in somewhere. The place I saw today was charging $3400 to move in!!! That's crazy and I certainly don't have $3400 to spend on moving - or $3400 at all, for that matter!
Anyway, I called about a place this afternoon, and the landlord seemed very nice. Couldn't get him off the phone for 15 minutes! Anyway, I'm seeing the place tomorrow and it does sound nice -but I've seen enough places lately to know it doesn't matter at all what it sounds like, it matters what it looks like once you get there! -

Kilroy, did Mr. K talk to the doctor today?
I have been to the doctor most of today, now will have tests later this month. So now maybe I can catch some sleep before going in this evening.

Hello again friends! Leela and Comet were doing a tango - pretty cool to watch. I also saw Comet messing with Larry. I thought he knew that Larry is no ordinary toy. I hope Leela didn't see - would hate to see her shun Larry for having Comet's scent on him!
