  1. Good morning all! Looks like everyone is sleeping in this morning, including the cafe kitties. So I'm giving them the day off. I've gassed up the cyber mobile and made reservations at Cracker Barrel and we're all going out to eat! Who wants to be picked up first?

  2. Okay, my boys are getting hungry and impatient so we're going to leave for CB now. Call if you want a pickup.

  3. Have a good brekkie GD and boys. Heading to bed myself for a nap before it starts to get warm.

  5. Waving madly to get the attention of the cyber mobile! Don't forget us up North, er, well, Mid-Atlantic!

    Thanks, GD!

Sleep well Deb and Good morning (or well, afternoon now), Kilroy!

Been cleaning Daddy's house so hopping into the shower!

  6. Deb, you can nap in the cyber mobile on your way to CB! The boys and I are on our way, JBBM!!

I just had to go to PetsMart and get a calming collar for Butthead Bob. He's been absolutely terrible the last 4-5 days - he's attacking Milo who is now slinking around and scared of him. Last night was the worst I'd ever seen and I had to separate them because I was afraid Mi would get hurt. Heck, for a while I was afraid Bob would hurt me! Lots of growling, hissing and spitting. We've been at XBF's for 6 1/2 weeks and they seem comfortable here so I wouldn't think this has to do with moving.

  7. Can't wait to see you and the boys, GD! I'll be watching football while I await my ride :)

  9. Good morning. Never been to Cracker Barrel but then I don't think they are east of the Mississippi River. GD, while at work on Friday I saw a Panera catering truck arrive at lunch time as I was going across the street to get my lunch at the cafeteria. It was for someone's lunch meeting.

Hope the calming collar works for Bobby. There have been a couple of times when I have had to make a noise to get Sylvester off Felix as I hear Felix crying even though it was Felix attacking poor Sylvester. Last night was the first time all week that Felix wore himself out playing all afternoon and came and slept with me. Usually he wants to play and I have to put him the bathroom to be able to sleep. He cuddled up against me purring. I felt such love.

  10. Awww, sweet Felix! The calming collar seems to work. He's calm and the couple of times he's passed Milo, he hasn't attacked him. Only thing is, I think I'm allergic to it! He was next to me sucking on his blankie and I was petting him and I started sneezing like crazy and my nose wouldn't stop running. But for the sake of Milo, we're keeping the collar!

Too bad about no Cracker Barrels by you. I love CB!!! You'll have to come visit some time and we'll go! I've seen Panera catering trucks - yummy!! My favorite Panera manager guy is my new friend on FB - he's so cute! Most of his workers are his fb friends and it's apparent that they all love him! I got Auntie Ellen's teenage daughter a job there and she just adores the guy!

  11. Hello. Got my wireless internet hooked up Friday night. So I thought I would pop in to see how everyone is doing today. Cats are being lazy today, but so am I.

  13. Ooh new Walking Dead series tonight. Zombies! Watching the series now. They are re-showing the whole first series from last year. I probably won't watch most as too much suspense and scariness. Will need a nap later.

  14. Just got home from church and then lunch with mom sister and my hubs. Glad to be home. Theresa cut her foot last night and made a mess, had to get blood out of the carpet because she didn't make a fuss or anything so I didn't realize that she had a cut at first. Then I had to catch a squirmy kitten and hold her so I could clean it and then convince her to keep a bandage on it since it was still oozing blood, yuck. She kept the bandage on all night though and pulled it off this morning and it looks ok. Keeping an eye on it though, don't want to get an infection.

  15. Aww, poor Theresa! Glad the cut is looking better.
Butt-head Bobby kept me up most of the night, so I think I'm going to take a short nap. After that I'm going to pack some stuff into the car to move into the new apartment tomorrow.
I was going to have someone come buy my freezer on saturday (sold on Craigslist), but he emailed me saying he couldn't make it and could he pick it up today instead. I emailed back saying yes, just name a time didn't hear back. Emailed again this morning and still didn't hear. I'm annoyed since someone else was interested and I told her it was sold. I emailed her and told her it's available - I hope I hear back from her. I don't want to move the freezer when I move out of here.

  16. Kit, sorry about Theresa. Hope her cut heals quickly. GD, you found a place! That sucks about the guy backing on buying the freezer. Hope you find a new buyer who can come right away. When do you move?

Posted 7 months ago by SylMiaFelixsMomma #

  17. It does suck! Especially since I scheduled my day around it yesterday.

I put the 21st as move-in day on the lease. Then I got a dog-sitting gig for that weekend, so probably won't move in till the 24th or 25th. I have the key, though, and can move my stuff in any time. It is only a bit over 4 miles from work so I will be putting a loaf in my car every day this week and dropping it off after work since the place is 14 miles from where I am now. Saves gas that way.
The place I found is a 1/1 in a triplex in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's a big 1000 square feet which is bigger than anything else I've seen. It's nicely maintained and has a backyard (shared w other tenants) right outside my door for the boys. I'm looking forward to settling in there. It's also only 2 miles from GG's and 3-4 from the tournament I work every year.

  18. Hi all. GD, are you hungry? "so I will be putting a loaf in my car every day this week". Are you thinking about Panera? I hope the move goes smoothly for you and you get rid of the fridge easily.
Lovely sunny Spring morning here and the country is all happy as the All Blacks beat Australia to get through to the finals of the Rugby World Cup against France next weekend. Would have been a dismal Monday if they had lost, believe me!

  19. hi all. been busy today. took a short hike this morning and just got in from a short bike ride. couldn't ride too long - it's a been several years and my butt could only take so much lol

  20. As a matter of fact, I AM hungry! :)

Bobby has napped with his new collar on most of the day but has woken up and walked onto the patio with Milo and I. He just walked over to Mi and licked his head! Other than the fact that I think I'm allergic to it, I love the calming collar!

Posted 7 months ago by GD #

  21. That is good, GD. I'm sure Milo will also be loving the collar. I wonder if I can get one of those here for Ringo - he is always harassing Dara. But it might work better on Dara - she is such a nervous-Nelly all the time.

  22. GD, is this the one you got? Holy crap it's expensive here! $45.90!!!

Posted 7 months ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

  23. You probably could find one there, KK. It has pheromone, chamomile and lavender. Aka stupid lavender making me sneezy and snotty :(

Posted 7 months ago by GD #

  24. Yikes KK! Mine was 14 bucks! I can send you one.

  25. GD, the smell of the calming collar should go away or not be as noticeable after a day or two (at least to humans). Kitty has been wearing them for a few months now, the smell and whatever else is on it kills me for a couple of days after putting on a new one. Kitty can still be a butthead especially when the moon is full or nearly full, but it helps.

Afternoon everyone, allergy eyes here today but got to pay bills since the crew hasn't offered to do it :)

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. Darn crew, Deb! Maybe next time?

I hope the smell dissipates, I don't like the smell of lavender. By the way, Bobby looks very handsome wearing both a purple and a pink collar :)

Posted 7 months ago by GD #

  27. GD, the smell does go away, its the white stuff covering it that has the strong smell when its first put on. Kitty looks handsome with the white fur against the purple collar too :)

Posted 7 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  28. Thanks guys. Theresa should be fine. I got a good look at it when she was napping and it's deep but scabbed over now. No swelling so I'm going to leave her be unless there is some sign of infection :)

Posted 7 months ago by Kit #

  29. I put neosporin on my boys sometimes if they have a cut, just to try to prevent an infection.

Deb, I'm very much looking forward to the smell wearing off!

Posted 7 months ago by GD #

  30. Hello all!!!
GD, your new place sounds really nice with the outside yard for the boys and so close to work and GG's too! Good for you. I bet the boys will miss XBF and the lovely patio they are so used to. Awwww... Maybe you can take them to visit him and the patio once in awhile? They will remember it I'm sure. :)
So sorry Bobby is attacking poor little Milo. Hope the collar continues to work for him. I can't stand lavender either! My late Mother-in-law used to wash her son's clothes and used lavender for the rinse and I was very allergic to it. Especially the first time my clothes were washed in it. Awful! I have mega issues with "scents" which only seems to get worse as I age. Maybe I am becoming a CAT! My cats hate scents as well, especially Mr. Perry! LOL
