  1. Bringing some of the leftover noms across the hall from the night shift - they look delish! Pastries, donuts (featuring Boston Cream!), bagels, english muffins and all the fixins, along with fruit, hot and cold cereals and snacks, adorn the buffet table. Hot and cold fountains are up and running, and griddles are hot and ready for your custom order. The workin' crew kitties are ready to serve your every need, and off-duty kitties are looking for laps and/or playtime. There's a basket of sleepy kittens; they will be awake and raring to go soon!
It's raining outside my window, but the weather is purrfect in TDK land.
    Welcome!

  3. "It's a rainy day in the neighborhood, a rainy day in the neighborhood..." Oh, hi neighbor! :) Definitely a purple rainboot day here.

Whoops, KH you sneaked in in back of me (or ahead of me). Good morning!

  4. Hi Kilroy, lol on your Mr. Rogers interpretation! :) Good job!

  5. Why, thank you very much :) I must be on a roll, I made Mr. K's niece laugh yesterday by telling her "my Simon Lebon outfit (pastel linen jacket and fedora" is long gone and that's probably a good thing" :) She's going to the DD concert with me next week and is the same age as me, so she knew exactly what I meant.

    Hi Kat!

Posted 7 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  8. Ahh, snuggly slippers, that feels good. :) Think I'll make a pot of hot cocoa; anyone want to join me?

Posted 7 months ago by Kilroy #

  9. Yes please! *kicks off clunky shoes in exchange for snuggly slippers*

  10. Hello again, ladies! I'm taking my morning breather on the rainy patio (under the overhang), drinking my coffee while the boys sulk about the rain. Bobby is valiantly attempting to lick all the rain off the patio :)
I dropped off another load after work this morning and then met a dog-sitting client at Panera for keys and pay for this coming weekend. Promptly ran across the street to Home Depot and spent most of it! Got a gallon on mellow yellow paint to paint the very ugly bathroom in the new place (property mgr painted everything else). The ugly bathroom has light blue appliances and floor tiles and the walls are off white with some dark brown stripes - yes, it's hideous! I figured at least I could make it sort of happy-looking with some happy yellow paint to play off the blue. I'm going to paint it tomorrow and we'll see how it goes!

  11. Oh, and I just got home ten minutes ago and am happy to report my boys didn't blow away in a tornado last night :)

  12. Good morning! *tiptoes pass the basket of sleeping kittens*
It is cold in our neck of the woods. The cats are snuggling with me at night, which I love, but they give me these looks that ask "When is the heat coming back?" I'm holding off on turning on the furnace just yet. Supposed to be warmer by tomorrow through the weekend.

  13. GD, sounds like you've got good plans for the new place. Mr. K is plotting some redecorating of his own; we bought some artwork in Sedona which he wants to hang in the living room, but that means moving 2 speakers, moving a wire that runs down the wall & probably repainting the whole wall. Nothing's ever simple once Mr. K gets going :)

  14. I know the feeling, Kilroy! I've got to admit I was checking out vanities with sinks at HD, as well. The one in the new place is old and has a bit of damage. A new one is only $79 - at least the cheapo model I was looking at.

  15. Cool cat tree!

    Belleglen Sanctuary
Waking up the furry angels in the Sanctuary Colony building. They have this building, a covered patio, and uncovered pation and a pond with koi.

p.s. This cat tree is the best ever! They only have them during the Christmas season at Big Lots for $108, this one has been heavily used for over a year and it look teriffic. We have another one that has been used for 2 1/2 years that looks equally good. Dollar for dollar it's the best cat tree we've ever had.

  16. Nice-looking cat tree, Deb! Of course, come Christmas, my boys will have their annual indoor pinetree to climb and play with :)

I just had a not-very-good nap and woke up with a headache. This system we have over Florida this week has been givinge a headache every day. Ick! On a positive note, I woke up to a phone message from a dogsitting client's coworker. Her mother is in intensive care and they're looking for someone to come to the house three times a day and take care of her old, blind and deaf dog. It may depend where the house is, but otherwise I'll be happy to help out. And earn a bit extra for a new vanity. And a new toilet. And a new kitchen sink. And, and, and..... :)

  17. Deb, I think I'm going to have to finally start watching the David Tennant Who episodes if they involve cats - how cute! (and the cat's not bad either :O)

Good luck on the dogsitting gig, GD. You'll have a fully furnished apt in no time.

  18. Hi kits...doing the 1/2 day today for had my furnace cleaning/tune up this AM...so, now back to more PM fun on a $budget...any coffee left? Ooo the end of the pot, better than nada...later!
BTW, the furnace guy liked cats & said he owned or rather a Maine Coon kit owned him with the rest of the family!

  19. Hi JK! Have you seen today's kitten, Mittens? She's a cutie!

Posted 7 months ago by Kilroy #

  20. Ooo...thanks for the cutie alert...gotta check her out!

Posted 7 months ago by jeankit #

  21. Thanks, Kilroy - I'll have to see if I can do it timing wise. An old dog like that may have a very set schedule and I work during normal breakfast and dinner times (I'd have to feed it). If he's not too set in his ways, it's doable.
And I suppose I should buy a couch, and a bed, and a dining room table before I start thinking of tearing up the place, huh?

  22. Hey everybody, busy day today, sorry I didn't check in earlier :-)

Hubs told me Willow was chasing her tail, caught it, but her claw got stuck in her own self (lol)

Posted 7 months ago by Siobhan #

  23. Oh no! Poor Willow :(

Posted 7 months ago by GD #

  24. Owwie, poor Willow :( Kind of like the baby ellie-phant I posted who couldn't get his trunk out of the way of his feet! Owie! It's tough being little sometimes.

    *smooches for Willow*

  25. Lol, baby elephant was funny!

I'm tired. It's been a long couple of weeks and this awful weather is making me tired and headachy. I packed a load of stuff into the car this afternoon. I park in front of the garage and load it straight in, since most of my stuff is stored in the garage. About an hour later I needed to get something from the car and couldn't find my keys - looked everywhere. I wondered if I put them down in the garage so went out there to look. Found I hadn't shut the garage door, and in front of it was my car - with it's front driver's door wide open and the keys on the seat!!! I'm losing it!!

  26. Evening all!...... yes GD, the 'front' came thru here, and it's nicely cool (and dry)...... windy - yes, but calming.......... may get down in the lower 50s tonite, and in the 40s tomorrow nite!...... high tomorrow, not even 70!!!LOVE IT!!!.... will be that first feel of fall weather!

..... tomorrow, I have yet ANOTHER training class to attend, the ones Monday and Tues. almost made my head explode!........... these 12 hour days wear me out!........ *whines*

.......... oh well, at least the week is flying bye!!! LOL @ Kilroy and GD - I have the same issues with Mr. AV when he gets in the 're-do' a room project........... it's NEVER simple, and usually involves lots of painting and moving things............ I've had enough in the past 2 years for at least a decade!

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  27. Woo hoo almost quttin' time, nice to have banker's hours on a CSR budget! Wow, windy and drizzly in brewtown tonite...so must hang onto my cat & hat if I take Crockey out! Wishes to all to have a great rest of your day/nite wherever you roam!

Posted 7 months ago by jeankit #

  28. Maybe Mr. AV wants to take a trip to Boca/Delray?
It's going to be mid-70s here tomorrow. Right now it's still grey and windy out and my headache won't go away :(
