Good morning, all! Cafe kitties are bustling about this morning! They already have the breakfast staples set out, but they're working on something else back there in the kitchen! They won't tell me what, but I've seen a few with what looks like icingon their nose and whiskers, and the cafe is starting to smell like someone may be baking a cake or two.....

Deb's on her weekend -- it was her Friday last night -- so hopefully she's sleeping blissfully and I suspect MS has watched Dr Who and Torchwood and gone to bed. Which is where I'm disappearing to, too. Night all, sleep well and sweet dreams to those heading off to bed and have a great day to everyone else! I had to rescue Millie from a wasp this evening, she was determined to catch it and I wasn't keen on that at all...
Jcat, I'm looking forward to moving. There's a small bistro type table with two chairs right outside my door, so I plan on sitting out there in the mornings with my coffee.
It's finally stopped raining and it was a nice 63 degrees when I left for work this morning. It'll warm up till around 80 today - nice and not too hot for painting. I'm planning on tackling the ugly bathroom this morning.
Good luck with the painting, GD, I'm so thrilled you got the place you wanted. You'll have fun furnishing it too, checking out the yard sales and markets and thrift shops etc. I think older things are much nicer, they're made of real wood, for one thing, not laminates and chipboard.

Hello! Busy day for me...besides a large payroll to get out, I have to go to another building in our office complex to pick up a Costco card, order lunch for those wanting to eat Chipotle today, get a bank deposit completed, and leave by 2:30 for a meeting at the zoo for our Halloween Night Eyes which starts late this afternoon.
I finally broke down and turned my heat on this morning. Even the cats' coats felt cold, so I knew it was time.

Ooo, something does smell yummy and the cake crew kits are adding the finishing touches on the cakes for 2 special peeps! Paw up with waves from grey, drizzly and a bit less blustery brewtown! Wow was windy last nite but as 50/60mph but this AM only about 30mph! (Got Lucky to stay in my vestibule for a bite of noms but didn't want to stay any longer or come further into the house yet!!!...Slow, but sure progress tho compared to last year!) Anyway I need a very large cuppa joe to tackle the pile on my desk...hope to be back in a bit...now a smooch for Tux, missed you yesterday kit...later!

Beautiful day here after yesterday's purple rainboot day. Mr. K is playing tennis tonight, so I'm on my own for dinner and trying to figure out something good. Or maybe I'll just have a big lunch and skip the whole dinner thing.

I'm not sure it's working right, Deb; we finally bought a fridge thermometer and it's registering just above the "safe zone" for the main compartment of the fridge (about 45 degrees). We haven't tested the freezer; Mr. K figures if his ice cubes are solid the freezer is working :P
I *think* that calling the fridge repair guy is somewhere on Mr. K's list of things to do today, and since the plans he had for the day fell through this morning I'm hoping he'll have time to do that.
ETA: Ooh, that "stoup" looks like it's right up Mr. K's alley, I may have to make that for him this winter (he does most of the cooking but I can handle soups & simple things)

Stopping in for some b-day cake; why eat lunch when you can have cake? :)
Actually I'm a bit too frustrated to eat so I'm sipping on chocolate milk - my purrfect comfort drink. Coats the tummy and makes me feel good!
