Morning all - it's Friday!!!
Cafe kittehs are catering in from Cracker Barrel this morning and I'm already enjoying a mug of hot coffee on this second chilly morning of the season in South Florida.
I need a good breakfast. Going to the apartment to paint some more and straighten up, possibly meeting new dog-sitting client if I can fit it in, working, and starting two dog-sitting gigs.
Have fun painting, GD! Just think how wonderful it will be to be back in your own place again, with Bobby and Milo.

Ahh, but you can start checking things out, GD, that's always my favourite part. Why was the painting so awful? Did you hate the colour? (Yellow can be great but can be tricky, but it's nice with blue.) Or didn't it cover up the yucky underneath enough yet?
You know, I think if you're going to kidnap the intern to help, you're going to have to buy her a doughnut too!
It's a shame we don't live close, GD, I have an nice Lazyboy rocker recliner, bakers rack and various appliances I need to sell!

Morning everyone!.... GD, good luck with the painting (I hate it too) and furniture shopping...... like JBBM, I have TONS of stuff I could give you!!.... today, I feel like I've bee run over by a truck.............. SO tired from all the 'training' this week, and SO behind on other stuff since I've been in classes so much :(

It's the color, Jcat. The mellow yellow was not mellow at all, but a screaming lemon kind of yellow. I'm pretty sure it glows in the dark!
I thought about sponging over it, but I still need to paint another layer, and then sponging, and stillnot sure how it'll look. So instead, I think I'm going to do a light grey'ish-brown which should compliment the blue in the bathroom nicely. Don't know hy I didn't think of that sooner!

I though I'd like it, Deb. I think it's because it's the bathroom and not a bedroom that it's such a chore - toilet, vanity, shower, mirror, medicine cabinets, tile, etc to all paint around - pain in the butt!
And I discovered yesterday that the property manager didn't paint the bedroom and a couple of the walls look dirty so I'll have to paint those too :(
GD, yeah a lot of detail with the little things. That bites that they didn't paint the other walls :(
Talk about dumb, well if the residents of the house did it.....if the neighbors put the fliers out to *jumpstart* the cops then yay for them!

G'morning from sunny but crisp brewtown! Boss brought in some sweet/carb treats as TGIF...so I am enjoying a choco chunk cookie but need a very large cuppa joe to go with! Wow GD, sounds like more kp as fun for your new digs, but once the chores are done than you can move on to more tempting fun as decorating! Paw up waves to BB, Deb, Lk and anyone else who is still around or slips in...gotta go for now with smooch for Tux...later!
I feel for you GD - I don't mind painting, except bathrooms - so many things to paint around. I have very small bathrooms, so it is twisting into a pretzel to reach places in a tiny hot little room! But just think if you paint the bedroom next it will feel so easy in comparison!

Morning every one. Just got up, off work today since my student's classes were canceled by one teacher and the other she has a test so I slept in. It's been a very busy very exhausting week! We had disability awareness day on campus Tuesday and I worked that in addition to my regular classes and Wednesday I covered some extra hours trying to make up for the hours I am missing now. I still have to go to my internship at 2 two and be there until 8 but being a Friday the kids will get to watch a movie from 6-8 and so it's not as stessful :)
It's amazing what paint can do to change the look of a house! When we bought this house last year everything was beige, beige carpet, beige tile in the kitchen beige walls! Now every room just about is a different color lol and it looks so much better :)

TGIF!!!!!!
GD, that is too bad the yellow turned to be sunlight bright instead of nice and mellow. When I moved in to my apartment, they just cleaned the place when they really should have replaced the carpet and re-painted the whole place. Now the carpet is fraying at the metal strips where the linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom meets. I had to tape those over so the fraying doesn't get worse. I am sure when I move out, the property manager will replace the carpets, paint and do other things to the unit so they can raise the price from ridiculous to ludicrous. When you are ready to go buy furniture, are you going to Ikea or to consignment shops?
It is SSDD for today... Feeling a bit down about job search. Current temp assignment ends next Friday. Rep at temp agency isn't replying to my emails about helping me find another assignment. If she doesn't reply by this afternoon, I will give her a call. I miss my original rep there when I first signed up back in February.
The one saving grace is that now that it is getting colder in the nighttime, I have the pleasure of Felix coming under the covers to snuggle with me, purring away. Very comforting!

Afternoon all!............ I left work early today, I'd just had enough........ told my secretary I was turning my phone off.......... just can't take another agent meltdown, I've had MORE than my quota for the week (month, no year!).....*whines*

Can I join you, AV? What a week......... And we have a crazy weekend, part of which is good (stepdaughter and her soon to be husband are coming for a visit) but Mr. K is has been stressing out over what to do if she, her sister & their spouses/soon to be spouses all come over at once and expect to be fed. Then I made the mistake of mentioning to his niece that stepdaughter was coming, so for some bizarro reason that meant that niece's sister had to be invited over along with her husband (niece #1 lives here in the city, her sister & bil live 3 hours away), so now we're up to eight people (after all the drama the niece who lives in the city probably isn't coming over anyway). And all of this is apparently my fault, for telling niece #1. Am I the only one who thinks this is silly?
Then on Sunday we have to go to a party at one of the tennis players' houses, ugh.
Can I make mine a double?
JK... that is the most depressing video I've ever seen!!!! Think AV and Kilroy need something stronger....as in several KOTSW's.
