  1. Evening MS!...... how was your Saturday? It must be getting near Spring in your part of the world.......... is it getting warmer?

  2. Hi AV, we are in Spring here, started 1st September. Mr MS and I spent the morning mowing the lawns(he did all the mowing) and I just pottered around and unearthed a pie-melon I have been sheltering from winter frosts. The plant was huge once I pulled all the weeds from around it and now I have several months start on getting fruit off it. We have just had several very hot days, between 71 & 75F. Way too hot for Spring.

  3. Its been way too hot here for almost the end of Oct, we are still getting in the 90's daily.

  4. oh dear, does that bode for a HOT summer?............ I can't imagine a 90 degree Christmas!......... I'm not really good with following the weather trends...... el nina, la nina, all that sort of thing.......... I'm just hoping to escape the balance of this hurricane season in tact, and that our Christmas is below 80 degrees!.........

in fact, today is supposed to be so pretty, Cuddles will have her porch time ........ she doesn't like it when it's too hot..........

.... Deb, ugh!... 90 degree October! BTDT!

  5. Evening, Deb, MS and AV, how are you all this evening? I'm just looking in before I go to bed, don't know why but I feel knackered today. Did get a bit of cleaning up in the garden done though. Good on Airy for helping with the beach clean-up, MS!

  6. A hot summer is definitely on the way according to the weather forecasters AV,but at least we don't have a Christmas as hot as that.
I can't remember if we're La Nina or El Nino this year.
ROTFL, I just used my favourite online temperature conversion for 90F but put it in as Celsius accidently. Wow, 194 degrees! ! that is hot and impossible surely. Oops, then I realised what I had done.

  8. ROTFLMAO @ MS................ it's a good thing you don't bake in the US........ no telling how high you'd set an oven that calls for 350 degrees! LOL

  9. Jcat, Hi there. I'm not long out of bed either. The weeding was tiring today but the section looks great and the smell of freshly mown grass if still strong in the air this evening.
I got the KOTSW email and picture too AV. Can't wait for KK to come here at Christmas so we can have a sampling evening.
I will check out that video tomorrow when I'm wide awake.

  10. ....... MS, my favorite thing to serve with the KOTSW is a good blue cheese on salty crackers............. absolutely delicious! and really compliments the 'tobasco' hot of the drink!

  12. Evening Jane :)

Working on the yard makes me tired just thinking about it, lol. But then again everything makes me tired lately, especially *thinking*!

  13. Know how you feel, Deb, though I wish you would feel better. Well, I am off, must be all those late nights that have tired me out, AV. My girls are both inside at the moment, asleep in the living room, hope they stay there, no doubt little Millie will be taking over the centre of my pillows on my side of the bed, that's where she usually prefers to sleep, occasionally putting her little claws on my head to keep me in line, lol. I have some (real) work to do tomorrow so if I can get up earlier than usual, it will be a bonus. Nighty-night all, sleep well and sweet dreams to MS and Deb, have a great day, AV and everyone else. Smooches to all the furry kitties, hope yours are better behaved than mine are!

  14. .......... I know, I'm 'allergic' to yard work too............. that's what Mr. AV is for ;)

......... MS, you'll just have to 'splurge' just once at Christmas and try it with the blue cheese......... you'll have the rest of 2012 to be 'good'

  15. Nighty night Jane!

Nighty night all, see you on the morrow.

  19. Morning, ladies. Spent a fun morning here sweeping up broken glass after I dropped one of George's food dishes :( Mr. K still can't decide what to do for dinner tonight when we have guests over, looks like we're taking them out but who knows where & he won't make a decision. I have a week off coming up next week & we haven't made any plans (I really just want to go somewhere by myself & hide from the world for a few days). And tomorrow we have to go to a party and hang out with a bunch of tennis players, most of whom I don't particularly like.

Can I run away now? Pretty please?

ETA: Great links Deb; I extra love Ralphie the orange & white and the little copycat :) This made my day better.

  20. Look who I get to spend the weekend with:

    http://s1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff376/CC75/?action=view&current=6f22d722.jpg

I'm exhausted!!Went to bed at midnight and up at 5:45. Drove about 12 miles to go feed and walk the above dog and his dachshund brother. Then drove andother 12 miles to go walk and feed another dog and then 11 miles back to work by 7:45.
Now I'm working till 1:00, then have to run and walk all the dogs again and then run even farther to my new place to paint. ANd the puppy can't stay alone for too long. And I need a nap. Arrrgh!

...... oh well, I promised myself if I do a good job and get it all done, I'll make a KOTSW tonite, cause now KK has me craving them............ her pics looked so good!.......

...... *stands in line* with GD and Kilroy to 'smooch' the sleeping orangie.......

  26. Yes, he's cute, too. And he's smiling :)

GG's borhter loves bulldogs and wants to meet the puppy I'm watching. So I gave him the key and told him to go to the house with GG to see the dogs and take them out for me. This will make my day a lot easier since I'll be able to run straight to the apartment to paint. Yay!
