  1. Morning/afternoon/evening, all!

    The cafe is open with all the goodies you could ever want! I'm about to hook myself up to a caffeine drip, myself.

  2. Cleaning house with the hubby, getting ready for our big party next weekend :) I've had Halloween parties every year since I was in high school. Got lots of candy to hand out to the kids. I love Halloween!

  3. That sounds like fun, Kit!
    I'm working 8-1 today, dog-sitting in two different towns, and trying to get my new apartment ready for move-in in a third town. I'm going to put the last layer of paint on the bathroom walls today, and paint an awful-looking closet with built-in shelves. If I miraculously have extra time, I have to paint the bedroom, too.
    I'm sending my boyfriend over to walk two of the dogs since they won't be able to wait that long for their walk.
    Want I really want is a nap!

  4. oh, thanks for starting the Cafe GD, I'll take a caffine IV drip to go ;) .......... can I wheel it behind me while I mop? LOL

    ..... just poping in between 'Hazeling' and getting my prep work done for my chicken and biscuts receipe for this evening............. (I posted the video) on the previous Cafe............ easy, takes a little time, but looks really yummy and comforting!................ and as promised (myself) I'll end my evening with a KOTSW!

    ..... Mr. AV is working outside, touch up painting and getting our yard in order....... he has spent almost the entire month of Sept. re-doing our zero scaping, Jasmine, and it is flourishing!...... he's really proud of it!..... being the beautiful day that it is, Cuddles is 'supervising' the painting and yard work............ she looks like a 'queen bee' sitting atop her cat hutch on the porch............ she's got the perfect 'view' of everything going on! LOL

  5. Hiya Kit and GD! Your place sounds like a lot of fun at Halloween, Kit. Can't say it's my favorite holiday but I like my decorations and I love to see trick-or-treaters in their costumes!
    You are so busy GD! Have fun painting - that will be a great accomplishment and give you satisfaction .
    I really need to organize. Doing some housecleaning and trying to stay off the couch. Maybe a nap later. I love weekend naps!

  7. Hi ya Joan!..... yeah, Abby 'escorts' me from room to room (always)..... she particularly likes to supervise my 'cleaning'............. did you know that I've become a breeder? ....................... of 'dust bunnies' that is! LOL

  8. GD good luck with your painting. We've still got painting to do and we've been in our house a year! lol. Taking a break from cleaning. Emptying the cat boxes always wipes me out! Going to chill out and play some Sims 3 pets lol Theresa likes to watch too. She usually follows me around but got to playing on the cat porch while I was cleaning out there and didn't come back in yet :)

  9. Leela is weaving around my legs. She wouldn't join me for a nap, so I got up! She seems to know that I have to focus on doing a task at hand, the lack of focus for which has been frustrating me lately. She's a good cheerleader-kitty!

  10. Joan, they can just 'tell'...... Abby instinctively knows when I'm stressed, overwhelmed, mellow, upset, etc........... and she 'supports' me accordingly........ they are God's gifts to us hoomans :)

  15. Deb that kitten is so cute!! I love meteor showers; hubby and I have been known to bundle up and go outside in the middle of the night to watch the Leonids in November. It's nice and dark where I live too, and we try to catch the Persaids in August.

  16. Joan, I do the same thing with going outside and watching the dark skies. Its one of the only disadvantages to working the mid-night shift, can't go out as much as I want to see them at the best times.That kitten was sure happy looking out the window, wonder what it was looking at.

  19. Eek, Deb, that's going a bit OTT. They would just have been doing it to buck up the spirits of the losing team and to say, you're still champs to us. It can be intimidating to watch but it's pretty obviously still a dance -- actually, in a way, it's a line dance, lol, and everything's done on the spot, no one goes charging around like herds of thundering wildebeest...

Sigh, sitting here toiling away in *this place* and we are snacking tonight on cream cheese topped with sugar free apricot preserves and a bit of salsa added on top of ritz type crackers (very yummy). Of course I do have CC's in my ears as always. Forgot that we also are munching on avocado slices.

  23. Evening all, what a night. New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup and it was a very hard game against France. I'm hoarse from cheering and chanting. We waved flags and pom poms and stamped our feet. Now we are happy. It's been 24 since we won the inaugural Rugby World Cup here in NZ.

  28. Rah Rah for the NZ rugby team!........ games are always fun to cheer for, but they do wear you out!....... all that screaming and stomping! LOL

    ..... Deb, did you find anything good at your yard sales yesterday?

    ..... I must say, I made the chicken and biscut receipe that I posted yesterday, and it really did turn out just like the video!....... absolutely fantastic!...........the method with biscuts on top really works nicely........ and of course, you could make any 'stew' base - next time, I may make a beef or lamb stew and top that with the biscuts........ really yummy stuff!

  29. Morning, AV, I've just seen the score, 8-7, the All Blacks only just beat the French. I'm glad the French did well, I have a soft spot for them, and they must have pulled one of their magnificent last stands out of the bag.

    Your cooking always sounds so yummy, it makes me hungry all over again, lol.
