Hope everyone has a great day!

  8. Hi Deb, I would love some of your "cold"....teeheehee! I talked to Daughter the other day, and she said it was cold there, only in the high 50's or low 60's, definitely sweatshirt weather...lol.....everything is relevant, I guess :)))
I'm off to pick up Granddaughter's birthday cake that I ordered....she will be 12 tomorrow!

  9. 'Morning from sunny and warming up to 50's in brewtown today! Saw my little persian in the window on walk in snuggling by the radiator, still looked grounchy but that is it's expression! I agree totally with TGIF! Happy this week is almost over and the hoomins are beating the new 'puter system as my officemate said when I walked in...Patty 5, Puter 2!!! Mmmm, coffee smells wonderful so will take a carafe to go to continue with this fun! Wishes for all to have a great almost start to your weekend today, hope to be back in a bit, later...but first a smooch to Tux!

  10. Nummy noms today!

I realized I need to get the thermostat for my car fixed. My car doesn't heat up very well anymore, it's not warm by the time I get to work (granted, it's just three miles). This morning was the worst I've dealt with so far: not much ice to scrape off, but apparently I was warm enough to fog up the entire inside of my car, and the windows jut would not clear.

I sat in the car for longer than it takes me to drive to work, waiting for the windows to clear. I finally rolled them down and left. We have kids in the neighborhood and it's not well lit, and they always seem to wear dark clothing. I'm so afraid I won't see one through my fogged windows.

Next week I get my remote starter fixed, yay! We have to swap out the old key for my husband's key. In July I had to get a module in the steering column replaced (turned out I didn't have to spend that $500, it was actually something else), and that meant I had to get my car keys reprogrammed or they would not start the car. The key embedded in my after-market remote starter would not be removed and reprogrammed by the dealer, they told me I had to go where I got it installed. Sigh. Well, to get the key replaced will cost $15, but my husband won't have a key that starts my car. To get a key reprogrammed will cost about $30 at the dealer. But since it will only affect HIM, we don't need to spend that extra $30 right away.

But now I need to get the thermostat fixed. We put it off in April because I wouldn't be needing to heat my car in the Spring, but now we have to pay the piper....so that's another expense for my car in the very near future. I have no idea how much that costs, but I tell ya...we ain't waitin' no more for it, it's too cold outside and I don't have a garage.

  11. Aw Sio... I guess gotta grin and bear it with our cars...well, there is a bumper sticker you could get as your car's new tatoo ...I owe, I owe...

  12. My remote starter konked out too. At 92,000 I have to give her a good warm up always or she might start knocking. I need a new a/c compressor too, but won't need that for a while! I need to get the exhaust fixed first.

  23. Just have to share this, Karen shared it on FB...

Poor Girl.....I wonder if she's actually registered to vote! =(

In a Purdue University classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States . It was pretty simple. The candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age. However, one girl in the Wayne class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen.

In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president. The class was taking it in and letting her rant, and not many jaws hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, "What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?"

Yep, these are the same kinds of 18-year-olds that are now voting in our elections! They breed and they walk among US.
