Evening all, just had a lovely evening setting off fireworks for Guy Fawkes, now we're relaxing a bit before heading to bed. It's been a sunny but blustery day here and there is rain about judging by the pain in my knees.

Evening Jan, glad that you enjoyed the fireworks :) Very blustery day here also and guess it will be more so tomorrow, lots of it coming from down in Mexico.

At least I got several loads of washing dried nicely with the way the wind is. Unfortunately it's drying up the gardens so I have to keep an eye on them.
How has your day been Deb.Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

You got more accomplished than I did, went to the store for cat food and back home again. Little Girl has decided she won't eat the food the rest of the crew eats so I have to buy her *other* types. The winds today have played havoc with my allergies, the eyes look so beautifully red and itch like heck. I did print out the Thanksgiving thread from 3 years ago with all the recipes on it.

Typical darned cat, the current food isn't good enough for her! I have itchy eyes too, I start of giving them a quick rub but of course that's not enough and I end up rubbing them until they're red and I have to use eye drops to cool & calm everything down.
I was just reading through that thread, oh the memories, especially Cindy/Renee. The recipes look great but most of them I can't do as we don't have the can/package stated and I can't really replicate it with fresh as I don't know what the original was like.Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I hate the itchy eyes too, I do the same thing and rub them...thank goodness for the Patanol eye drops (the only ones that don't burn them). WWM should be able to help with describing what the original ingrediants would be, or at least I would think she would know.
Little Girl will eat the food and then yak it up within a short time :(

Just made a coffee and a ginger marmalade sandwich, it's cold tonight although not as cold as at the southern end on the Sth Island. My niece woke up to snow the other morning. That is a very late fall of snow.

Mum's previous cat Mitzi would eat her food and then yak it up a short time later. What she ate this week would not be acceptable next week and it drove Mum mad finding food for her.Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Thank goodness I don't have to do that with the crew, Lynn's cats will do that....eat the food today and turn their nose up tomorrow or even that night...
The weather everywhere is really screwy right now, Connecticut is still without power and may not get it back by Sunday as promised.

I was reading Gini's thread, it can't be easy for them and then add in the chill factor and that makes it miserable.
I had to LOL at my niece and the snow, her sister who she lives with is trekking in Nepal and the temperatures are quite high there, no snow. I bet she had a good laugh when she found out it had snowed back home.Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Yes that would be entertaining with knowing it was colder back home than in Nepal! My Dad told me today that he turned on the heat in California because he was getting chilled during the night, guess his blood is getting thinner the older he gets.

I see they have had a couple of 'cool' days in LA so maybe it's no maybe it's not just him.
We've dropped to single figures(Celsius)here now, haven't been down there for some time now. The cold has got to me so I'm going to head off to bed now.
Sweet dreams and may your allergies calm down. Headbonks to The Crew and a chin scritch for Lil Girl.Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Painkillers are so good, they reduce the pain to a dull roar which is bearable.
HRH is in Airy's bedroom, under the bed with the TV going to drown out the sound of fireworks. She's not terrified of them but prefers to be tucked away from the lights and sound anyway.
Nighty night.Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

May you sleep well and HRH be comfy under the bed.

Morning Kilroy, I know that had to be scary for those involved and around the accident.

It's 05:42 am in AZ, ... the night is chilly in NZ (but Spring has shown its head) also chilly in most of the USA ..... so time to close Friday's Cafe and the missing Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters or the a/c, so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows slightly open for Southern TDKers' spring/summer and closed for Northern TDKers' fall/winter.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land.May all those who need it receive healing energies and some quality rest.
