  1. Ahhh, Caturday, my favorite day of the week! I can make a real brekkie; we had scrambled eggs with diced ham and cheese, yum!
Here in the cafe, fresh linens are out, and colorful arrangements and centerpieces are on tables. A combo of healthy noms and sugary noms are on the buffet table (I could go for a nice gooey sticky-bun!). Griddles are hot and ready for pancakes, omelets and everything in between. The Belgan Waffle iron is out too! Hot and cold fountains are running in purrfect order.
Kitties will be baking cookies and cakes later. Gaaa! So much food! Thank goodness it's virtual. Isn't TDK land awesome?
    Welcome!

  2. Good morning, Joan! Thanks for setting up the lovely cafe.

I'm about to run out the door to get my hair cut, so I'll grab a virtual sticky bun & a cup of coffee. Back later, looking tidier I hope.

  3. Good morning, Joan, Good morning, Kilroy. Just got back from running errands and top of the list is antibiotic for the sinus infection from Hades (explains the migraine!). Going to try and eat something then back to bed for a bit. Y'all have a great day!

  4. Morning, Joan, Kilroy and JBBM! I'd love some coffee! I didn't sleep well last night and I'm tired today!
A dog-sitting client emailed me yesterday asking if I could watch her golden doodle today and tomorrow. I'm already watching two German shepherds, but what the heck, I need the extra money. And it looks like I may actually have the whole weekend off from dog-sitting next weekend!

  5. Morning everyone. Just got up, feeling pretty good. Messed up my shoulder a few weeks ago when my 55 lb dog tackled me and I thought it was well, but it started up again this week with muscle spasms that were pressing on nerves so my arm was going numb. So they put me on muscle relaxers at night so I've been sleeping great and the pain is gone now so in a much better mood. Going to a party later for a friend of mine that is shipping out the first of December so gotta do all my house cleaning and homework before 4. Luckily the house is still pretty clean from the deep clean it got last weekend :) Hope everyone has a great day!

  6. Morning, Kit. Glad your shoulder is better!

I may have to run across the street for another coffee. The one I got this morning didn't do the trick :(

  11. Hi friends! Glad to see you! I'm kitty-sitting this weekend for a long time friend. We went to school together, were in each other's weddings, and moved from our home town up the mountain to this town and we live within about 5 miles from each other. The boy Harley is a meezer-himylayan mix; he's big and solid and laid back. The little girl Gracie is an off the street rescue. She's a dainty little one - a grey/white tabby with a bulls-eye on her sides and ultra soft fur.

  12. awwwwww I bet those two love being 'kitty-sat' by Auntie Joan!

....... I was just reading the old Thanksgiving thread........... so many wonderful memories and receipies!.............

....... I'm making 'the dinner' for my Family this year, so I've been pouring thru my 'tried and true' receipes, but I'm always looking for a good/new dessert............(baking isn't my forte)........ that pumpkin marble cake looks easy enough, I might try that!

  13. Your kitty sitting sounds like fun, Joan! I'm watching two gigantic, long-haired German shepherds and a spazzy golden doodle this weekend. And I'm going to paint an accent wall in my kitchen, and other than that, just try to relax a bit :)

  14. Stupid wind is blowing 36 mph right now *kicks tumbleweeds out of the kitchen* and of course it is accompanied by its favorite buddy..... dust.......

AV - for goodness sake, put that tutu on!

  15. *studies wormhole maps for a dead-end spot for tumbleweeds and dustbunnies*

  16. Sounds like some pretty goggies, GD. What's a golden doodle - a retriever/poodle mix?

Posted 6 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  17. They're so cute!

Posted 6 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  18. I love "doodles"....their facial expressions are priceless. I think the one that GD doggie sits is named Ollie. Hard to believe that he is that spazzy!! Such a cute pup from the pix she has posted.

  20. AV, I envy you seeing them do their air show, just love watching them myself.

  21. I see that the earthquake in Oklahoma early, early this morning actually was a 5.6 rather than the 4+ reported this morning. 5.6 earthquake hits central Oklahoma after earlier shakers

  22. Evening all, Deb you're too quick for me. I just read about those Oklahoma quakes too.

Now there's no need to stat copying us with trembling land. I was a bit surprised to see they happened in Oklahoma though.
How's your day been. We had a suitably laid back Sunday, a bit damp and cold though and it's still cold this evening.

    Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. Yeah, was reading that their last comparable earthquake was in 1952.

Mine was laidback too, computer has been having issues so will not have one at home for a few days (crossing my fingers thats all).

  24. It's quiet in the MS household tonight. Mr MS is asleep in his chair, HRH is asleep upstairs or was until someone started letting off fireworks so she may be under a bed, Airy is doing 'puter stuff' and I'm chatting with you.

    Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. Its pretty *Q* in here too, short of personnel tonight with only 3 of us running things and the systems are all down. Running things while I can when I can and chatting when I get the chance too. I envy Mr. MS sleeping in his chair, would rather be doing that.

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. I hope things remain "Q" for you all.
I woke Mr MS and sent him off to bed, he was starting to mumble stupid things and really needed to be in bed.

    Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  27. Wow, Oklahoma had another earthquake within the last 2 hrs, that makes it about 5 so far since yesterday morning this time.

Ok have to smile a bit at the mumbling things while heading off to bed, someone called me today and I am pretty sure that my conversation with them (can't remember who it was) did not even make sense :)

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  28. Wow, it's a rocky time there in Oklahoma. They're all quite shallow too.
LOL, well Mr MS's conversation surely didn't make sense. I had to LOLonce he had left the room.

    Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  29. Sorry for disappearing, had things to do.
Headed for bed now as i"m almost sleep on the keyboard.
Sweet dreams when you get home and give The Crew headbonks from me please.
