  1. Since the Night Shift is missing again and the Sunday Cafe is hours old, let's just open the Moanday Cafe....

Still without a home computer so will only be able to be on for a couple of hours a day, yes the withdrawal symptoms are setting in.

  2. Evening/morning Deb. Wow, those withdrawal symptoms didn't take long to rear their ugly head did it.
Very interesting theory about fruit and I can see his point. I've cut my fruit intake way back. The 2 cheezburgers are great and I just love the sleep remedy.

  3. Evening Jan, no the withdrawal symptoms are horrible lol!

I do understand about the fruit, love it but guess it will fall to the wayside with the sugars. I loved the sleep remedy and the quit-your-screaming one :)

    How was your day?

  4. Nice and slow morning, Airy was out cleaning beaches again. This afternoon we went out seeking material so we can make our own swimsuits.
We went to a garden centre but I didn't buy anything - yet. I have a zucchini plant that is not doing much at the moment and I've given it an ultimatum to grow or else.

    Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  5. Lol, poor zucchini under so much pressure! I did that with my upside down tomatoes, didn't work for squat this year. Will try again this spring but maybe with a different tone of voice or something :) I wouldn't even know how to make my own swimsuit, actually it took a lot for me to buy a swimsuit two years ago.

  6. I've showered care and the best compost on the zuchinni so it's not under pressure really. I discovered I had the first fruit on my pie melon plant that I carefully nursed through winter, covering it at night with frost cloth. It was Meegz plant in her planter box that I was looking after. The plant crept into another planter box and took root there too so we both have a plant now that is way ahead in growth for this time of year. Now I just have to figure out how to make jam using pie melon.
We used to make our swimsuits some years ago then they became cheaper and prettier but now that has changed again and they are so expensive and totally unflattering unless you are skinny as a bean pole with no bust.

  7. Scuse me ..........suffles in ...half blind with sleep ...searching for coffee ........theres coffee??? starts to panic .....some idiot invented daylight savings time and my dear pets have been up at 4:30 two days in a roll ......giving me that Hi mom look wheres breakfast.........COFFEE STAT

Posted 6 months ago by jinxedfairy #

  8. One huge mug of piping hot coffee coming through the worm hole for you JF.
I understand the change of time thing, we had it recently and it was the first time I've felt the effects. Shadz had no worries with it. It shouldn't take long for your kits to get the new time figured out.

  9. Hey there JF :)

Heavens I have a headache from the underworld, two Imitrex pills, an Imitrex inhaler and Excedrin for migraine has not even touched it....ten foot pole is probably about as close as anyone wants to get near me right about now...

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  10. Deb, I think Airy has the younger sibling of your headache. She has wandered past to the freezer several times to get a cooling mask to help, and she was making awful moaning noises. Finally after quite a few hours she has found some relief from good old asprin. Possibly sunstroke from the beach cleanup this morning. I hope you can find something other than a 10 foot pole to the head to help the headache. I'm heading to bed now as Mr MS had a sparrow fart wake up and I'm sure to wake then so it's best I get to bed early. Sweet dreams Deb, chin scritches for The Crew.
JF, have a great day and I hope your kits get used to the new times soon.

  11. G'night Jan, sleep well, scritches for HRH and see you tomorrow night after the witching hour :)

  12. Afternoon ladies :) my feathers are ever so slightly ruffled today . . . Think I need a 10 foot pole too.

Posted 6 months ago by Skyron #

  13. Afternoon Sky, totally understand the ruffled feathers feeling today.

  14. Morning everyone!............. felt like I 'slept' late, even though I was actually earlier than normal.......... always happens the first few days of standard time.........

............ hoping this week will be mellow and easy (fat chance)........ but I can hope............

Posted 6 months ago by AV #

  15. Morning AV, hope you have a mellow week :)

  16. Morning Deb :)

....... stinks that you don't have a home computer! ........ I hate it when things go on the blink............. and I always say to myself, 'what now?'

.... hate to post and run, but I need to get going.......... early meetings today............. have a great day/evening everyone!

  17. Morning, all! I was exhausted yesterday and went to bed at 8:00! Couldn't sleep and stayed awake till about 10:00. Woke up at 2:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. Finally got up at 4:00, showered and hung out with the boys watching the early morning news and then left extra early for work at 5:05.

Had a busy weekend dogsitting two German shepherds in one house and a golden doodle in a second one.
Was going to be dog-less till Thursday, but German shepherd lady texted me last night and asked if I could come today and tomorrow and walk them a few times. I hope this turns into a steady dog walking gig! And another lady had emailed me when I opened my email this morning and I'm now walking her dogs twice a day Tues through Thurs! Yay!

  18. GD, how on earth do you keep track of everything? I would be sooooo confused, nothing would ever get done . . .

Posted 6 months ago by Skyron #

  19. Today is one of those days, where if I did have a 10 foot pole at my disposal, I would have thwacked a few people over the head by now. Probably a good thing that I dont have one then.

Posted 6 months ago by Skyron #

  20. Its that time once again, I must be shutting down the computer links and the system(s) as I have 45 mins left. So same bat channel same bat station this evening...have a nice day!

  21. Don't go Deb! At least not until I say thanks for the cheezburgers :) Loved the "of course it's my chair" :) Reminds me of George, home all of 20 minutes 4 years ago, stretching out in the middle of the floor as if to say, "I'm home now".

Speaking of George, dopey cat woke me up 4 times last night with his sneezing - poor thing's got a cold now :( Didn't interfere with his breakfast, though, which is good.

I'm still hurting all over from where I took a header yesterday tripping over a chair leg at the co-op's annual meeting, plus my stupid head is killing me.

  22. Sky, I couldn't do it without my calendar! A good, old-fashioned paper one, that I carry in my purse. I've tried using the calendar on my phone, but I need to see the whole month with whatever happens every day written down in front of me, not as little dots on a date that I then have to open.
The phone does come in handy for texts, though. I love testing and rarely actually talk on the phone anymore (as if I had the time!). If I set up dates and jobs via text, I always have the details on my phone - the exact dates, alarm code, when the owners will be home, etc. I refer to it all the time!

  23. Am I the only one having a decent day so far?! That's probably because work hasn't started yet. I had a wonderful Saturday with my niece. And so far the time change hasn't affected me so much. I did get some extra naps in yesterday. I hope everyone gets better as the day goes on.

Posted 6 months ago by LadyKat of IA #

  24. Oh no, Kilroy! Sorry about your fall!
I can't believe it's been 4 years of Georgie already!!

Poor Bobby wanted to sleep almost on top of me last night. I kept flopping around and he'd leave and then come back a little later and try again. I think it was me disturbing his sleep last night, for a change!

Posted 6 months ago by GD #

  25. Morning, LK! I was looking forward to "sleeping in" this morning, but of course that didn't happen :(
Glad you had a nice time with your niece!

  26. Morning everyone! Today's Hermes EIGHTH birthday! Time for a kitty party! The kittehs got to go thru the wormhole over the weekend to spend time with Auntie Joan, Comet and Leela. They had a great time, btw, and say "Thank You" very politely. The girls are sitting straight up and pretty together while they say that to Auntie Joan :-)

Hermes is taking a nap (lol)

  27. Yaaaay!! Happy birthday, Hermes!!!

  28. Happy birfday Hermes!

  29. Goog morning! I am up early for my new six month temp assignment. After having a nice week break from work, I am reluctant to start the day. It is hard having to start all over again at work. At least I have work. I did enjoy being able to sleep in and be home with my kitties. Now if I could just win the lotto so I could retire from working,

Happy birthday Hermes! Salmon cake and cat nip toys! Today Felix is three months old! Two more months and then it is "spa day" for him. He is growing and is in the long legs stage. Fell asleep and woke this morning and was able to have a cuddle with Felix on my chest and Sylvester leaning on my right shoulder. Nice way to wake up!

GD, sounds like things are settling in nicely at your new place. I am so glad you found a good home! Deb I hope you are able to get your computer fixed and soon. Sorry about your fall Kilroy. Hope you heal quickly.

    Have a good day all!

  30. Happy Birthday Hermes! We had a nice weekend. :) Comet wore his warlock hat since I didn't put away the box of Halloween stuff yet.
The cats are loving the bird feeder that's suction-cupped to the kitchen window. Squirrels can't get to it, the birds come right up to it, and the kitties chatter away at them!
