  1. Good morning all! I think it's time for a cafe!
Cafe kitties have set up a buffet of brunch foods, as well as coffee, teas, juices, hot chocolate and mimosas. Come on in and hang out for a while!

  2. I'm sitting in the backyard at the dog-sitting house while the four dogs I'm watching are running around playing. The spazzy pitbull keeps jumping in the pool :)

I have to take my friend and co-worker's two daughters to their soccer game at 1:00 and pick them back up at 3:00. Also have to go to XBF's to pick up mail and drop off something for him. So it's another busy day, but right now I'm enjoying a cup of coffee from Panera while relaxing outside. I've promised myself to do absolutely nothing next weekend!

  3. Good morning, GD! Thanks for opening the cafe :)

I would love a hot chai, and pancakes please.

We've been working our behinds off at dad's house (finally) and all of us are too sore to work today, so if there are any massage kitties available I would love them to help me out :)

Not getting the cats from Dad's house till Thanksgiving now. Too much to do at both houses, but they are coming!

I'm off now. Will try and check in later. Y'all have a great day!

  4. But if you leave, JBBM, how's this handsome tuxie kitty going to give you a massage??

Glad to hear you're making progress on your dad's house - way to go!

  5. Morning, folks. I'm still in "figure out what I have to do" mode, making lists as a way of staving off panic :) Mr. K & I have tickets for the Rockettes this afternoon & will go out for dinner afterwards (this was all planned before the bomb fell on Friday). I called my mom and told her; Mr. K thought I shouldn't because she would only worry, but she and I have a deal, no keeping secrets. My family used to be really good at that & it's stupid and causes endless problems. So, no secrets.

  6. Morning, Kilroy!
The Rockettes and dinner sounds nice - hope it takes your mind off everything for a while.

  7. Morning everyone!.......... another glorious day, eh? GD?!!

............... Kilroy, I'm hoping something will open up for you, that you will really enjoy.............. may sound corney, but sometimes when one door closes, another one opens ................ for a specific reason............ ((Kilroy))...............

  8. I agree with AV. The stress is overwhelming, but lean on those that can help and look positively for an open door.

  9. Morning! I wouldn't mind being able to jump into a pool right about now! However, all the snow has melted and it might reach 60 today - not too bad.
Enjoy the Rockettes and dinner Kilroy - it's healthy to get your mind off weighty things for a while.
Only heard 1 sneeze from Leela today, and her nose looks clear. Hopefully the shot knocks this out.

  10. Just hope the vet doesn't prescribe liquid benadryl, Joan! We had such a battle with Glen over it, we had to exchange it.

I think the pool would be too cold today. Temps are nice, in the upper 70s I thing, but after all the rain, it's bound to be cold.

  11. It's supposed to get up to about 70 here today. I am going to take a my two and a half mile walk then a HOT shower! Love swimming pools but not when they're cool in November. Got my split pea soup in the slow cooker for tonight. Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday.

  12. I just unpacked my crock pot. I've never used it, and am looking forward to putting it to use this winter - hopefully even this week sometime.

  13. I love crock pot cooking! So much so I have two of them! Busy woman's best friend :)

That tuxie found me, GD, and gave me a great massage. I think it's nap time now.

  14. Mmmm, love pea soup - have a nice walk KK! Last night's pulled pork in the slow cooker was yummy!
Oral meds for kitties are a PIA!!! I hope Miss Leela's had her share - at least till she's an old Madam!

Cleared leaves from one of my rock gardens - it literally sits on a big rock! It's tricky to manuever. People understand around here when someone says they sprained/broke their arm/leg falling out of their garden! It is circled with yukka plants, and pulling leaves and the old dead stuff out is tedious but it looks nice when it's done. I even saw a big grasshopper - cool! Oh and the azayla I planted for Dad still looks great - hoping it blooms in the spring.
The forsythia in the backyard looks bad - that storm may have been too much. I don't think I should do anything with it until spring, though - don't want to kill it, just cut it back.

  15. I never mind the liquid clavamox - weirdo Bob even likes the stuff and sucks it right out of the dropper! Glen and Mi aren't crazy about it but do okay. But the benadryl was a different story - it made Glen foam severely at the mouth and he's run around the house shaking his head, flinging foamy benadryl everywhere!

  16. Afternoon folks, its gray, overcast and in the 50's here today.

Family just called, the doctors have told my niece my brother will be a vegetable if he does survive. From what I am getting they may be pulling the life support today or tomorrow, they might wait until I got there. Will probably leave tomorrow for California, going out to be a help to my Dad and oldest brother more than anything else. Should be back by the end of the week or at least I hope to be.

  17. Afternoon all! I just finished almost painting my bathroom--I ran out of paint :( Right now I am having a cup of coffee and getting ready to take a hot shower. I wouldn't worry about the forsythia, Joan. If you trim it now it won't have any blossoms in the spring. They are tough plants and can take a lot of abuse. GD, that does not sound like fun AT ALL! Hope you have a relaxing evening Kilroy. And everyone else too, for that matter!

  18. ((((((AZ)))))) I will be thinking of you during this time!

  19. I was feeling like I need to drop by and hang with my TDK family.
Sorry I haven't been around much but my life is crazy.... The boy is still sick and that has taken a HUGE toll. We are going to see the genetic dr tomorrow because it is time to start running more test....My husband got laid off.... I sprained my ankle yesterday.... oh and Gallo isn't feeling well! He has eye boogers! Is it too early for a margarita???

Posted 6 months ago by opahall #

  20. it is never too early. it is always 4pm somewhere...

    ha ha ha

Posted 6 months ago by CSBM #

  21. Opahall, its never too early for a margarita. Sorry about your husband being laid off, you spraining your ankle and your son still being sick (I know that takes a heavy toll on all of you).

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. *passes margarita to OP* Hope things start looking up for you - hugs to Gallo!

Good to know about the forsythia Shelley. I would hate to miss out on the brilliant yellow come early spring.

Deb, I'm sorry your brother has taken a dire turn. Will be thinking of you.

Hello CSBM! Hope the apartment organizing is going well - it is probably a good diversion for you.

Leela seems to be getting better. I would like to get at the little nugget on her butt, however she doesn't respond well to me picking and poking at her. Think it will eventually fall off?

Posted 6 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  23. Hey Joan, she has a nugget on her butt?

  24. Afternoon all!..... just got back from the home show, MIL bought Mr. AV this huge golf ball rack thingy for his bday, so he's in the studio trying to figure out where to hang it .......... LOL..........men and their love of gagets!

Posted 6 months ago by AV #

  25. AZDeb, I must have missed something since I don't know what happened to your brother. Whatever it is, I'm sending strong vibes that the decision your family has to make is the best for all and that your brother's passing will be swift and painless.

Posted 6 months ago by CheetahBoysmommy #

  26. {{{Deb and family}}}} I'm so sorry about your brother. Wishing you strength and peace and whatever you need to get through this.

Posted 6 months ago by Kilroy #

  27. I'm so sorry, Deb. Sending you all my love. {{{{{Deb}}}}}

  28. CBM, heart attack yesterday morning, I hope his passing is painless and swift as well.

    Kilroy, thanks.

    Jane, thank you.

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  29. {{{Deb}}} You know your TDK family will support you in this difficult time.

Yes, Leela has a little nugget from her nervous accident while at the vet yesterday. Saw her do "the skid" but I see today that didn't get it all. My carpet cleaner works, though, and it forced me to vacuum the living room :) I'm probably going to have to be the meanie and pull it off now that it's hardened - the 'ol band aid removal thing. *shudders* It isn't blocking anything, and it's small, so hopefully she won't see stars - and hopefully I won't get my face clawed off!

  30. Deb, I'm so sorry about your brother!

    Joan, yikes - good luck!!!
